"it actually is.." yangyang mumbles as a reply to dejun's comments and cheerful words about the forest's hidden beauty. "anyways~ yangyang!" dejun says, turning around to face the other boy.
tell me why you're hurt like that?
"what's your favourite flower?" yangyang frowns as dejun's thoughts were ringing through his ears. "i like roses."
dejun nods solemnly, smiling before he took yangyang's hand and held it with his own. "roses? they're quite like you, huh?"
the younger boy looked at him curiously and even urged him to explain.
dejun's smile fell before he grabbed a flower that visually seemed similar to roses.
"because... roses are beautiful yet thorny. those thorns are their weapons against those who want to hurt them because it seems like people have done something a little too mean to them... so what is it, yangyang?"
liu yangyang was taken aback by dejun's statement and he could feel himself shaking slightly. "h-how'd you—" dejun then giggled as yangyang stammered. "you owned up to it just now~ that's how i know!"
after that small moment, the boys proceeded to dejun's favourite place; a cliff that showed the beautiful waters beneath it. "please don't jump when i'm not around.." yangyang mumbles, knowing damn too well that places like this could irk a person's desires.
"of course i won't~! yangyang, you do know i'm not as foolish as i seem, right?"
