Lucky's POV:
"Lucky are you sure about this?" Mom asked, as she watched me look at my laptop. I was searching for a house for me and Angel live in now that I know she's pregnant. It time for me is both to settle down with one another. "Yes Mom. I'm not a baby anymore. I love you to death but I don't need you to take care of me anymore." I said, not looking at her. "But sweeties it's such a big step though." She said. "Alicia stop." I said. Mom sniffed. I looked at her. She had tears in her eyes. "See? This is why I wanted to have more kids." She said. I rolled my eyes and stood up. I walked out the room and down the hall. I looked in another room that had some of my stuff I couldn't fit in my room. I came back and heard Dad talking to Mom. "Honey this is good." He said. "I don't want my baby to leave." Mom said.
"He's an adult. He's a man now. He's not a baby anymore." He said. "He is to me." She said. "Honey, he's going off on his own. Ya know, kids are supposed to leave you. It means you did a job raising them. He's growing up. He's taking responsibility. He's gonna be there for Angel. He wants to do right by her. He's gonna take care of Angel and his kid. And to do that, a house is the first step." Dad said. "I don't care Dylan. I don't want Lucky to leave." Mom said. I loved my Mom to death but I wished she stop treating me like a baby. I walked in the room. "Mom, I'll be fine. I'll come visit you guys." I said. Mom broke down. I hugged her. "Besides, I'm not leaving right now. I gotta find a house first." I said.
"Find a house for what?" Asked a voice. We turned to see Elizabeth standing in the doorway. "What are you doing here?" I asked. "You didn't answer my question." I said. "You didn't answer mine." She said, crossing her arms. "Girl, you in my house. You answer my questions." I said. She glared at me. "I'm here cause I wanna talk to you." She said. She walked over to me. "Now answer my question." She said. "Yeah I don't have to." I said. "Elizabeth get out of my house." Mom said. "Oh Alicia. I thought-" Elizabeth was cut off my Mom slapping her. "I said to fucking call me Mrs. Carter." She said. "If you ever put your hands on me again-" I cut Elizabeth off. "You'll do what exactly?" I asked, getting in her face. She glared at me.
"Alright let's all calm down." Dad said, getting between us. Elizabeth walked past us and over to my bed. She grabbed my laptop and looked at the screen. "Don't touch my stuff." I said, reaching for the laptop. She turned away. "Your searching for a house? For what?" She asked. Then she gasped. "Your looking for a house for us?!" She asked, excitedly. "Bitch what fantasy world are living in?" Mom asked, angrily. "Bitch?!" Elizabeth asked. She stood. I got defensive and stood between them. Then we heard a knock on the door. We turned and seen Marcus standing at the door. "Everything all right in here?" He asked. "Yeah Marcus. It's...all good." Dad said.
Marcus came over to me. "No need to lie Dylan. I heard everything. I can practically feel the tension." He said. "What are you doing here?" Elizabeth asked. "I could ask you the same thing." Marcus said. I put my arm up and held him back. "He's my guest. I invited him over. Something I didn't do with you." I said. Elizabeth smirked. "Oh well. I'm here." She said. "Why though?" Marcus asked. She got in her face. I got between them. "Don't walk you on him like that." I said. "Alright let's cool it." Dad said. He moved the three of us away from Elizabeth. "Lucky, why are you looking for a house?" Elizabeth asked. "To get away from you." I said. She scoffed. "Good luck." She said, then left. Mom growled. "God I can't stand that bitch." She said. Her and Dad left.
Marcus and I sat down. "Okay. Since I never said this when I came back a couple days ago, congratulations to you and Angel." He said. "Thanks man. Your gonna be an Uncle. Or godfather." I said. "I'm good with either." He said. "So when am I gonna be an uncle or godfather?" I asked. He smiled. "Soon." He said. Then we heard a noise. We paused. No way Elizabeth was still around. I got up silently and opened the door. It was just Dad. He looked at me. "What?" He asked. "Was that you?" I asked. "Was what me?" He asked. Then I heard the same noise. He was moving the vacuum cleaner. I sighed in relief. "Never mind." I said and closed the door. "It was just my Dad." I said. I sat back down. Marcus was looking at the laptop.
"So you're moving out?" He asked. I nodded. "I wanna be with Angel. I wanna make sure she stays safe with me. With Elizabeth back in town and on my ass, I want to be far away from her and Angel around me." I said. He looked up at me. "Dude, I'm not bashing you or anything cause I don't want to lose you man. You my best friend and all, but don't you think ta kinda pointless?" He asked. I got confused and made a face. "Pointless? How is this pointless?" I asked. "Bro, this is fucking Elizabeth. The same bitch who tracked down an innocent girl at a dentist appointment and killed her. Wherever you go, she's gonna follow. Angel will never be safe." He said. He's right. Elizabeth is crazy. I don't know where else to go.
"Where should I go then?" I asked. He thought about it. "Honestly, nowhere. She's gonna stalk you no matter what." He said. I sighed then had an idea. "How bout you and Keisha move in with us?" I said. His eyes widened. "What?" He said. "Yeah. You and Keisha move in with me and Angel. If Elizabeth were to meet Keisha, she'd run scared. Don't get mad, but Keisha is hella scary." I said. He chuckled. "I guess. I'll talk to her." He said. "She'll say yes. She'll want her sister safe and sound. You should've seen her when I snapped at Angel." I said. "Oh she told me. That was fucked up." He said. "She wouldn't let me explain. But it's all good now. I don't wanna stay on that topic." I said.
He smiled then sat up suddenly. "What?" I asked. His ears turned to wolf ears. They twitched and moved then truth end to normal. He laid back down. "Nothing. Thought I heard something." He said. I frowned. "Yeah. Since Elizabeth got me in trouble with Angel, I've been tryna be careful with what I said out loud. I don't where she is or what she could hear." I said. "I don't blame you. Elizabeth is a fucking psycho and I don't care if she hears that. She isn't gon do nothing." He said. I scoffed. His phone pinged. He looked at it. "Keisha?" I asked. He nodded. "Yep. Is your phone on?" He asked. "Yeah but it's charging. I thought I charged it last night but I guess not." I said. "What percent?" He asked. I looked at it. "Twenty percent." I said.
I looked at him. "Why?" I asked. "She's nene tryna call you." He said. "Why?" I asked, curiously. "Cause she took Angel to the hospital." He said. "WHAT?!" I cried. I stood up but he stop me. "Yeah Angel was throwing up a lot and Keisha got scared. She took Angel to the hospital and the doctors said she's a little stressed out so they gave her remedies and medicine to help her out. Keisha had something to do so the Magic Council came and got her. They're taking of care. She's fine now." I said. My heart raced. "Oh my God. I feel so bad for her." I said. "Yeah. You better hope Elizabeth doesn't ever run into Angel. Otherwise, Angel is gonna be really stressed out." He said. "God no. I'm tryna be there for Angel while also keeping Elizabeth away from her." I said.
"Like I said, wherever you go, Elizabeth will follow." He said. I sighed. "Please Marcus?" I said. He looked at me. "Move in with me and Angel." I said. "Let me talk to Keisha." He said. "So tell me about Wolf Hung. How many animals did you catch?" I asked, curiously. "A hundred and thirty one." He said. "Wow. You did better than last time." I said. "Yeah. I would've made top wolf but someone from Arabia made it." He said. "You mad?" I said, jokingly. He glared at me. He stuck up his middle finger. I laughed. "I've been tryna get top wolf since I eligible to participate in Wolf Hunt." He said. "You'll get it one of these days." I said. We talked a little more before leaving to go see Keisha.
We ride in Marcus's new car. His Dad bought him a new one before he left for Wolf Hunt. He gave it to Marcus when he came back. We drove to McDonald's and sat down and waited for Keisha. "You think in Japan, they have English lessons?" Marcus asked. I thought about it. "I would think so. We have all kinds of lessons over here in America." I said. He nodded then stared at something behind me. I turned around to see something that irritated my soul. Elizabeth. She looked at me then smiled. She walked up to me and tried to sit down. I moved to the edge of the booth so she couldn't sit. "Wow. Really Lucky?" She asked. I nodded. Marcus laughed. Then she sat on my lap. She smirked at Marcus.
"I know damn well yo skinny ass ain't on Lucky's lap!!" Someone shouted. Everyone turned to see Keisha standing in the door. She came up to us and pulled Elizabeth off of me. Elizabeth stared up at her. "Get up bitch." Keisha said, putting her hair up. "Keisha." I said. "Nah. I want this bitch to square up." She said. Elizabeth continued to stare at her. "Who the fuck is this bitch?" Keisha asked. "This is Lucky's ex. Elizabeth." Marcus said. Keisha looked at her. "So you the hoe that keeps stalking Lucky?" She asked. "So I'm guessing your the ghetto bitch Marcus is fucking at the moment?" Elizabeth asked, standing up. Keisha punched her and slammed her. "Damn!!!" Someone said. "Beat her ass!!" Another said. "WORLDSTAR!!!" Another yelled.
Marcus and I pulled them apart. "You stupid crazy bitch!!" Elizabeth screamed. "Don't ever call me ghetto you hoe ass bitch!!!" Keisha screamed. They both fought to get to each other. I pulled Elizabeth out of the restaurant. "Stop it Elizabeth!!!" I yelled. She stopped and pushed me away. She wiped her face. She was crying. I felt bad for her. "You okay?" I asked. She nodded without looking at me. I walked over to her. Tears streamed down her face. Out of instinct, I hugged her. She hugged me back and cried. Why. The fuck. Are you hugging her? Dude, she's crying. I feel bad. Need I remind you what she's capable of? "Lucky?" Marcus called. I looked at him and saw him and Keisha staring at me.
I moved from Elizabeth. "Marcus, you can forget it Keisha said, before running off. "Forget what?" I asked. "What you think? The house." He said. "Shit!!! Keisha!!!" I said. I ran after her. I chased her down to a store. "Look-" She cut me off. "So this is the famous bitch that won't get over you? She's the psycho and go killed an innocent girl." She said. "Yeah basically." I said. She scoffed. She paced back and forth. "Keisha please don't tell Angel I hugged her. Or don't tell her about Elizabeth. I wanna be the one who tells her about Elizabeth." I said. She glared at me. She held her hand. I looked at it. It was bleeding. I held her hand and used my powers to heal her up. "Thanks." She said. "Welcome." I said. "Look Keisha I like you. Your a pretty cool person...when your not scary." I said.
She looked at me. "Your a good friend. Please don't tell Angel about this." I said. She stared at me before nodding. "Your a pretty good friend too Lucky, when your not being a bitch." She said. "When am I doing that?" I asked. "Just now. When you feel bad for an ex that does bad shit, like murder people who doesn't deserve it." She said. "It's my nature Keisha." I said. She raised her eyebrows. "The old Lucky Marcus told me was completely different than the one I'm seeing now." She said. I chuckled. "That was before I met your sister, my mate." I said. She smiled. "And you do more fuck shit, it's on." She said. "What are you gonna do?" I asked, jokingly. She then kicked me in my balls. I yelled out in pain.
"That's for doing fuck shit behind my sister's back. And that day you fucked Elizabeth." She said. I held myself. "Okay." I said, my voice hoarse. "And yes. I will move in with you and Angel." She said. "Thank you." I said, my voice still hoarse. She helped me up and we walked out to meet Marcus. The side of his face was red. "Dude I swear, if Elizabeth wasn't a female..." He said. "She slapped you?" Keisha asked. I held her back. "Not the time. Let's go talk to Angel." I said. "No." She said. "Why not?" I asked. "I don't want to bring that bitch home to Angel." She said. "She's right Lucky. You see how she quickly found us JUST as we left your house." Marcus said. I sighed. "Well what can we do? We gotta talk to Angel about this." I said. "Look, I'll talk to her. I'll-" Keisha paused.
She turned around and walked away. Me and Marcus looked at her before walking after her. "What is it?" Marcus asked. "I don't like talking with that bitch around." She said. I looked behind to see Elizabeth staring at us. "Keisha where's you're car?" I asked. "Right there. Why?" She asked. "Wait to get in it. If Elizabeth sees your car, she might do something like she did Marcus's." I said. "You right." She said. We walked around town and saw Elizabeth was following us. We went into an alleyway and ran to Keisha's car. We got in and Keisha drove casually. I turned around. Elizabeth looked around for us but didn't see us. She got aggravated and walked away. I smiled.
"Whew. That bitch is a damn stalker." Keisha said. "Yeah she is." Marcus said. We rode all the way back to Keisha's house. "Lucky, can she follow you legit anywhere? Cause you ain't coming in if she can." Keisha said. I stared at her. Well damn. "I don know but I think it's safer if I stay out here." I said. "That's a good answer." She said, before getting out. She walked inside the house. "Ya know Marcus, even though she's cold, I respect the hell outta her. She doesn't sugarcoat shit and she tells things how it is." I said. "I know. That's why I love her." He said. Angel came out the house with Meghan by her side. "Uh oh." Marcus said. "Don't day that. Don't put bad things in my head." I said. Angel got in the car. "Hi guys." She said, happily.
"Hey Angel. Your in a good mood." Marcus said. "I know. I just ate Chipotle for the first time and I LOVE it." She said, excitedly. Marcus and I looked at each other and snickered. "I can't with her." He said, laughing. "Oh fuck y'all." She said, opening the door. I pulled her into my lap. "I'm sorry baby. It's just funny." I said, laughing. She glared at me. I kissed her. "Don't be mad. So listen, I got something to ask you." I said. She looked at me then at Marcus, who quickly got out the car. "IM OUT!!" He said. "Oh you ass!!!" I yelled. He ran inside the house. Angel looked at me. Her innocent brown eyes hypnotized me. "What is it?" She asked. "Umm, how do you feel if we moved in together?" I asked. She stared at me. My heart raced in my chest. Then she squealed and hugged me.
"Oh my God Lucky!!! That's such a great idea!!! It'll be so nice!!" She said. I smiled. "Really? You like it?" I asked. She nodded excitedly. "When do we move?" She asked. "Well I gotta find the right house first.." I said. She frowned slightly. "So you asked me before you made this decision?" She asked. I nodded. "Look at your being all responsible." She said. I pushed her off me. "Fuck you." I said. We laughed. Keisha and Marcus came back. We talked in the car as we all searched for a new house. I had Angel in my lap. I wrapped my arms around but not too tightly as she threw up as a result. "What about that one?" She asked. "Girl no. That one is ugly." Keisha said. "Bitch you ugly. How bout that?" Angel said. We laughed.
"Oooh what about that one?" I said. "Nigga no." Marcus said. "Why not? That one looks cool." I said. "Orange and gray is not a good color combination." Angel said. "Y'all just hating." I said. "Boy. Anyways." Keisha said. "What about that one?" Marcus said. We looked at the house. "That's perfect." Angel said. "Oh so y'all love that one but no to mine?" I said. "Lucky, I think you don't have any fashion." Keisha said. I gasped. "Bitch fuck you." I said. She laughed. "So that's the one?" Marcus asked. "Yep. Scheduling a meeting now." I said. "We finna turn up!!!" Keisha said. "Marcus, we can go next Saturday." I said. "That's cool." He said. "Later ladies." I said. I kissed Angel and flew home. God I hope everything goes smoothly for the house.
