Caleb's POV:
I watched as Kyle and Ramón both paced back and forth. All three of us were livid that the girls just left. They left a note but it didn't explain why they were leaving or where they were going. My Mom and Dad said that Angel brought her brother and sister here to help her pack up. It was so annoying that she would do some shit like this. Kyle growled and punched the wall again. "This is so frustrating!!" He yelled.
"Man I can't believe Riley would leave." Ramón said. He shook his head. "Nah. She ain't finna leave just like that." He said. "Boys relax. We got every available guard out searching for the girls." Dad said. I didn't say anything. I just shook my knee. "Caleb how can you be so calm about this?!" Kyle cried. "I'm not. Once I see Angel, it's over for her. She's gonna see the real demon in me." I said, icily. He cackled.
"Yes. So will Skylar. She already knows what's up." He said. A guard entered the room. "Don? Loren was snooping around once again." He said. I picked up a lamp and threw it against the wall. Guards walked in with Loren. She smirked at me. "Loren what the hell do you want now?" Dad asked. "Relax Calvin baby." She said. Mom pulled up a knife and threw it at her. It cut her arm. Loren gasped.
"Bitch I warned you." Mom said, lowly. Lorne pulled the knife out of her arms, making guards aim their guns at her. She looked at me. "Caleb we had sex a few days ago. You really gon act like I'm the bad guy?" She asked. "Loren it was moment of weakness. I was in a fragile state. I was just looking for something to ease my mind." I said. She stared at me. "Fine. Be that way. I should've shot Angel in her head instead of her heart." She muttered.
She shook free of the guards and walked away. I looked at her. "You shot Angel?" I asked. She nodded. "Yep." She said. I ran after her. I grabbed her arm harshly and pulled her back into the house. "Loren, if you really shout my Angel-" Dad cur me off. "Son Angel is immune. Bullets cannot penetrate her shield. The bullets can however bounce off of her shield and hit whoever is next to her." He said.
Loren cackled. "What?" I asked. "You are right Calvin. I shot at Angel but it bounced off of her and hit Riley in her stomach. I know about all three of those bitches being pregnant." She said. "You shot Riley?" Ramón asked. "It was meant to hit Angel but I guess deserves it for being such a bitch." Loren said, smirking. He lunged for her but Mom held him back. "Not now Ramón. Loren where are the girls?" She asked.
"They are at a hospital but not the one in town. Good luck finding it." Loren said. She suddenly took off flying out of the house. "Caleb let her go." Kyle said. "What? Heck no. I'm not about to let her go when she-" Son let her go." Dad said. "Yeah Caleb we have too much to worry about than Loren." Kyle said. "We don't know where the girls are and Riley has been shot." Ramón said. "Plus, Angel brought two complete strangers into the house and Gustavo and his militia have been MO for days." Mom said.
"We have to be on our guard, no matter what." Dad said. I paced the floor. "Guards!" Dad called. A bunch showed up. "Go out and find every hospital in this state. Don't stop searching til you find any records regarding the girls." Dad said. They all dispatched and left. I went upstairs to my room. I walked past Angel's room. I looked around in it. All her clothes was gone. Everything was gone.
I looked around and memories all came flooding into my head. Angel being so shy and quiet when she first moved in. Angel giving me her virginity. Angel giving me head. Angel signing that contract. Angel squirting. Angel just...being Angel. I laid down on her bed. I looked at her pillows and sniffed them. They had the faint smell of vanilla on them. I was missing her so much.
It was torture not having someone who you love by your side. I fell asleep in Angel's room. I woke up to Kyle shaking me. "Hmm?" I asked. "Get up man." He said. "Why?" I asked. "We think we may have a lead on Angel's whereabouts." He said. This caught my attention. I sat up and went to my room. I brushed my teeth and went downstairs. "What's up?" I asked. Dad looked at me.
"A guard found a record of Angel being in a car accident. Apparently it was all over the news. He also found records of Riley being in the hospital." He said. "Is she okay?" I asked. "She's fine. She just needs rest." Mom said. "Oh thank God." Ramón said. "But her baby is at risk if she doesn't relax. The bullet pierced her stomach lining, nearly killing the unborn child. Mom said. "Where is the hospital? Surely angel and Skylar are gonna be there if she is." I said.
"Let's go." Kyle said. We all walked out the doors and into the cars. We drove off into town. Turns out Loren lied and that the hospital was in town. We pulled up and got out. We headed inside and got Riley's room number. We immediately went up and to her room. We opened the door and found her sitting up, watching TV. She looked at us and gasped. The color drained from her face. "Het baby. How you feeling?" Ramón asked.
Riley looked away. "Ramón-" He cut her off. "Don't say shit to me. Honestly Riley do you have any idea what I want to do to you right now?" He asked. She shook her head. "God I am so pissed off, I can't even express how mad I am." He said. Riley heart monitor began to beep loudly. "Ramón you don't understand." Riley said, softly. "Understand what? That you left me? That you and the girls just left us?" Ramón asked.
Riley began to cry. "Don't even start with all that crying." I said. Riley's heart monitor began to go crazy. Nurse rushed in. "I'm sorry who are you?" The doctor asked. "Her visitors." I said. "Well visiting hours are over. You'll have to come back in an hour. So unless you're her baby's father, please leave." A nurse said. "I'm her baby's father." Ramón said. Riley sobbed. "I'm sorry but you all have to leave." The nurse said.
Everyone but Ramón had to leave. "Wow. Riley...I honestly don't know what to say right now." Kyle said. "Me neither. But we know she's here. She can't leave without any of us knowing. If Angel or Skylar do come by, we'll be right here waiting for them." I said. "Well we can't stay in the hospital. They'll kick us out." Dad said. "We'll stay outside then." I said. We walked out the hospital and got back in the cars.
We waited for two hours before Ramón came out. I waved him over and he got in the car. "You guys are not gonna believe this." He said. "What?" Dad asked. "Angel and Skylar are in there. They were just in the cafeteria." He said. "Good. Let's go in." I said. He stopped me. "We can't. Visiting hours is officially over. We gotta comeback tomorrow." He said. "I'm not waiting til tomorrow to talk to Skylar." Kyle said.
"Look, Loren did in fact shoot Riley when she was aiming for Angel." Ramón said. "Thanks Ramón but we already knew that." Mom said. "That's not all. Apparently Loren and Angel have been talking for awhile now. They made some kind of deal and now Angel and the girls are leaving with Angel's siblings. They're going to Britain. Angel and Skylar popped in and saw me. Angel said that they were going to leave when we least expect it." He finished.
"Britian? Why there?" Kyle asked. "They said that they didn't feel like learning a new language going to another country so Britain was the way to go." He said. "Good work Ramón. So they'll leave when we least expect it?" Dad said. "Angel should know by now that I'm not just gonna let her go just like that." I said. "They're watching us." Mom said. We looked up and saw in one of the many windows, Angel and Skylar looking down at us.
Angel shook her and walked away. "Guards, I want you all out to go circle the hospital in groups of four. Go to every exit. Disguise yourselves as nurse or doctors. Block every exit possible. Neither of them girls are leaving this building." Dad said. The guards nodded and filed out. I looked up at the window. Skylar looked down at me. Sky what are y'all planning? Skylar said something but I couldn't make out what it was.
But it made Angel walk over to the window. She looked down at me. You are not leaving me Angel. We had our stakeout for hours. But we all fell asleep. We woke up to knocking on our windows. There were patrolling officers surrounding us. They made us leave. We didn't. We just went around the hospital and parked. Then we seen our guards running out. They ran right for us. "Sir, the girls are gone." One said. "Damn it!! Get in!!" Dad said.
The guards jumped in the cars. "Where did they go?" I asked. "A security guard caught some of us and he realized we weren't part of the staff. Angel and then ran off towards the exit we were guarding." He said. Suddenly, a speeding car sped past the hospital. We watched it. "Reckon that's them?" Kyle asked. Suddenly, vanilla filled the air. "That's them!!" I cried. Dad sped off towards the car.
We sped after the car. Angel was definitely in there. Her scent was strong. We ended up drawing the attention of police cars. "Aw no no no!!" Dad cried. We followed the car to a hotel. We got out and ran over to the car. I looked inside and was shocked. It was some girl. "Can I help y'all?" She asked. "Who are you?" I asked. "That's Nya. Angel's sister." Mom said. I looked in the back seat. Angel's clothes were everywhere. Then I pieced it together.
"Damn it Angel!! She tricked us. She used fresh clothes to throw us off." I said. Nya suddenly sped off. "Damn Angel has gotten clever." Dad said. "We trained her too well." I said. I looked to see Nya casually driving away. Suddenly police cars pulled up surrounding us. "Get on the ground!! Get on the ground NOW!!" One yelled. We put our hands up and got down on the ground.
Damn it Angel. You so fucking smart. We were all apprehended by the police. We were taken to jail for speeding. Luckily, we were let off easy. "Damn. I gotta admit using fresh clothes and a speeding car to throw us off is hella smart." Dad said. "She's not getting away." I said. We all went home. I was actually lost on what to do. I looked around in my room. Pictures of Angel and me were everywhere.
Then I thought of something. This may be cheesy but it might work. I decided to go downstairs to the armory and to my Dad's den. I looked up Angel's files. I saw her bank info. I decided to just send Angel gifts. I looked up Peter's files and decided to call him. Luckily he answered. Since he's been gone on his trip to the Bahamas with his husband, we haven't seen him in awhile.
I explained everything to him. From the time me and Angel first fucked to the car speed chase. He agreed to call her and ask her where she was. He said he will lie and say that he just got back and wanted to see her. I guess it worked because he texted back her current address. She was staying at a hotel. The hotel Nya pulled up at. Then more things started to piece together. I smiled.
Angel you really getting smarter and clever. I went upstairs and told everyone my plan. Mom was mad that I was spending money on gifts that she would probably return. I didn't care. I just wanted to get Angel back. I began to search up things girls would like and I sent them to Angel. Apparently she must've got them because Peter texted me to tell you to stop sending her things.
She was annoyed with all the gifts I sent. I decided it was time to go see her. We all pulled to the hotel. We got information on what room number it would be. We made our way up to the room. I was about to open the door when I heard yelling. I motioned everyone to get closer. Angel was yelling at someone. Then I recognized her voice. It was Nya. I opened the door slightly. We heard their conversation go down.
"Yo look at this receipt. Angel this Caleb dude spent over five hundred thousand dollars to make it up to you. What more do you want?" Nya asked. "NONE!! Every thing he's bought for me, I've had Peter send it back. I don't want Caleb's stupid gifts!!" Angel yelled. "Angel he must really love you if he's sending you gifts. He must be out of ideas." Skylar said. "Yeah Angel if you don't make up with this nigga, I will." Nya said.
"Nya!" Angel said. "What? White boy got money and you over here playing hide and seek with him. If you ain't gon talk to him, I will. I'll also ride his face." Nya said. "Don't say that!!" Angel yelled. "Look Angel Caleb is not gonna stop til he gets you back. He's sending you gifts for God's sake. He ran out of ideas on what to do. Plus, Anya eluded them. Angel you came up with the perfect plan and the Mafia fell for it." Skylar said.
"Yeah I'm actually surprised Calvin fell for it. He's seem to be the one on top of things. But still Angel. She's right. Caleb's has given up. He's resorted to gifts. What demon decides to get gifts to win back his love unless he has motives for doing it?" Riley asked. "This is Caleb we're talking about. The same demon who has yet to kill Loren." Angel said. "So that's why you're acting like this." Someone else said. It was a guy. Who is he? "Acting like what?" Angel asked.
"Like a crazy person. So I'm guessing this Loren was a side chick to Caleb?" Nya asked. "You can say that. She was and this is Caleb's words: a fuck toy." Angel said, mocking me. I do not sound like that at all. "So Loren is the one who shot you Riley?" Nya asked. "Yeah. She lucky my baby is okay. The next time I see her, no talking. No talking tying hair up. Just square up and start swinging." Riley said. Then there was silence.
"What? I don't like her. Honestly we shouldn't even be sitting around with Loren on the loose." Riley said. "We shouldn't even be sitting around period. Caleb might be on his way" Angel said. "No way. Last I saw, police surrounded them. They're probably still in jail." Nya said. "No. If I know Caleb, he'll probably try to break his way out or shoot his way out." Angel said. She knows me too well.
"Look Angel we can't avoid the guys forever. They are going to find us eventually." Skylar said. "No they won't. Because we'll be in Britain and I don't think Caleb would even know what Britain is." Angel said, giggling.
I shook my head and walked in the room and everyone looked at me. Angel turned around and gasped when she saw me. From the look in her eyes, she knew I was pissed. "Don't say nothing. Just come with me." I said. I grabbed Angel and took her to the abortion clinic.
