Somebody repeatedly pokes my back as I indulge myself in a new pocketbook I bought, and I ignore it.
The poking gets more painful. "Stop it."
"Moaning Minhee, notice me," Jaehyun whines, and I try my best to not puke.
Annoyed at the disturbance, I finally close the book and turn my back, giving him a serious glare. "Didn't you see I was busy?"
"Are you killing me in your head right now?" He sits on the ledge of the chair on my right.
"Maybe, but that's not important right now." I sigh. "What do you want?"
His eyes sparkle and it was strange. "We're having a match against Infinite University this week. I want you to watch the game."
"Are you kidding? That's what you bothered me for?" I turn around and pretend to ignore him, getting my book. But really, I always watch the basketball matches of our school. It's always exciting and fun to watch, especially since the players of our university have killer looks and always look great while playing.
"Yep," Jaehyun goes in front and sits on the chair in front of me, facing me. He nods cutely (there he goes again at being cute why is he so adorable).
"Just merely asking won't do it," I reply back, putting down the book down again.
"Then what?" He places his chin on his palm, leaning on my desk. Again, cuteness overload.
"Treat me."
He raises his eyebrow. "Just that? Okay, fine."
"Well I'm sorry, I'm just a poor soul gifted without wealth."
Jaehyun squints his eyes at me. "Oh no, don't you dare lie to me. I know you're an heiress to a large company here in Korea, I just don't know what company, exactly. What I do know is that you're rich as fuck. You won't be in this school if you're not filthy rich...unless you're a really smart person, which I know you totally aren't."
"Thanks for undermining my intelligence," I smile sarcastically and roll my eyes at him. "Make sure to research about my life more accurately, hmm? We're not that rich, okay?"
Jaehyun grins. "Will do ma'am. Just be sure to watch our game."
I nod. "As long as you do your part of the deal."
He brightens up. "A deal is a deal, right? I'll get going now, bye."
Jaehyun finally leaves me alone and I lean on my chair. I sneak a peek at Joochan and see him briefly looking at me, his eyes widening at the sudden eye contact and turns away. He looked...angry? Irritated? But why?
Did he hear Jaehyun and I's conversation? Was that why he was acting like that?
But what was it to him? I sigh. Maybe it wasn't that and something else. I shrug it off and proceed on reading my book.
