"Close your books and put it away, let's start the test." The teacher announces, and I do it unwillingly, reluctant to let go of my book which holds the answer to the test.
I still haven't studied for the test, especially since I didn't sleep last night from binge watching on some new drama I found on the internet. I forgot about the stupid quiz that's going to happen today.
I search for my ballpen as the teacher passes out the test papers.
Where is it?
I check inside my pencil case, it wasn't there.
I also didn't pin it to my collar.
It wasn't in my hair, nor the pockets of my clothes.
I search for it underneath the desk, under the chair and still no signs of it.
The teacher is already standing 2 rows before mine and I start to panic.
Where is that damn pen?
"Hey," I poke my seatmate, praying to the gods for help. "Do you have an extra pen?"
She holds up the pen she's using. "This is the only pen I have."
Panic surges inside of me as the teacher moves on to the next row.
How can I answer the test without that problematic pen?
The teacher gives me and my seatmate the testpaper and I hit my head slightly. What am I going to do?
Just then, I see a pen hovering from my left, a hand holding it. I grab it hurriedly, uttering a small thanks, and begin the test.
I didn't catch Joochan's sideward glance at my relieved face after he gave me that pen.
