Chapter 4 - Chapter 3- She's beautiful

"Hey, what took you guys so long?"  Darcy asked approaching Trina and Tristan where he had parked his car.

"Don't tell me you stopped to have quick sex" Conrad said smiling cheekily

"Oh Trina. Isn't it too early?" Nick added

"And you had to choose Tristan, the ugly brother?" Richard added laughing

"Oh stop being ridiculous guys" Tristan said trying to sound serious but they all noticed he was trying to hide his smile

"There was traffic, you know. That's why we're just arriving" Trina said innocently

"Aw, she's trying to cover up her tracks with traffic" Darcy said laughing

"Stop it guys. You're making her uncomfortable" Tristan said taking her hands in he's which caused the brothers to whistle and make funny comments

"What'll I do with you guys" he said shaking his head "where's mum?"

"She getting things ready. Trina, go help mum out" Conrad said

"Okay Sir" she said walking away

"Okay Tristan. Conrad began when he confirmed that Trina had gone far " what's up with you?"

"What do you mean?" Tristan replied feigning ignorance

"You and Trina?" Nick said

""I don't know what you're talking about" he said attempting to walk

away

"Hold it right there" Darcy said holding him back

"Bro we're being serious" Richard said. "Like what's really going on. Are you having feelings for her or are you trying to use her to get over Kate"

"Well to be honest I don't know" he answered honestly "I'm just suddenly attracted to her. I mean, she's beautiful"

"Oh brother" Conrad said palming his face

"Mum shouldn't find out about this please"

"Hey. We're no snitches" Richard said

"But mum and dad will never approve of you having a relationship with her. You know that right?" Nick said

"Yeah I do. But trust me, I don't think I want a relationship with her right now. I just wanna be her friend"

"Um... Young masters? Your mother said I should ask you guys to come for the picnic. Its set" Trina said from behind them

"Alright. We'll be there in a minute" Conrad said dismissing her

"Okay sir" she said walking away

"Well bro" Conrad began when she had gone "I'd advice you don't try anything with her. She's just a child, she's black. All odds are against the both of you. Don't let these little feelings you have for her develop into something else. I bet dad will rather have Kate as a daughter in-law"

"Thanks bro" Tristan  replied "now can we go and eat? I'm starving"

"Yeah, let's go" Nick said

"I set two mats" Rachel said when they got there "because one won't be enough. I'll be with Richard and Conrad on this mat" she said pointing to the mat that was in front of her "and the rest of you will be on the other mat" she said pointing to the mat next to hers

"Cool" Conrad said heading to his mat

After they had all settled down on their mats, they said the grace then began to eat. Picnic was more of a family tradition which was meant to bring the family closer and also for them to relax and take a break from their daily work

Tristan couldn't get he's eyes off Trina the whole time. He was amazed by how sophisticated and civilized she behaved. No one would have guessed that she was just a maid. She soon realised that a pair of eyes had been watching her, which made her obviously uncomfortable.

"Trina dear" Rachel called "are you okay?" She asked noticing her behavior

"Yes ma'am. I'm just a bit cold" she lied rubbing her palms on her shoulders

Tristan trying to be a gentle man, decided to pull his jacket and then he got up from his position opposite her and hung the jacket on her shoulder

"Better?" He asked before going back to his spot

"Yes sir. Thank you" she said blushing and the brothers just exchanged looks and smiled, leaving Rachel confused

Conrad couldn't help noticing how beautiful Trina looked when she smiled. She was truly beautiful. He traced his eyes down to her lips and paused them there. They looked so red and plump. "They'd be delicious" he thought. But be immediately wiped the thought from his mind. He wasn't supposed to look at her like that, even more now that Tristan was showing interest in her.

"So  Tristan" mum started "what about Kate. Heard anything from her since the breakup?"

"No mum" he said facing Trina "I'm honestly tired and I don't think we'll get back together"

"Oh really"

"Yes mum" he said facing her "Kate is really too much to  handle"

"Your dad will be pleased" she said picking up her glass of juice

"Off course he will. If it was up to dad, I'd have been betrothed to he's friends daughter by now" he said and everyone chuckled silently but for some reason, mum didn't find it funny  and almost choked on her juice

"Mum are you okay?" Conrad who was next to her asked placing his left hand on her back

"Yeah, swallowed the juice too fast. Its okay" she said smiling

"Okay"

"May I be excused?" Tristan asked no one in particular as he  stood up

"Where are you going?" Nick asked

"Just wanna take a walk. Trina. Will you come with me?"

"Um..."

"And why does Trina have to go with you?" Conrad asked

"Because I need company"

"I can come with you" Darcy offered

"No thanks" he said glaring at him. "Trina shall we? He asked giving her his hand so that she could stand up with ease

" okay Sir " she said taking his hand. She tried to avoid eye contact with him whilst standing up but it was almost impossible as their eyeballs met and they both felt it.

"Don't take too long Tristan. We'll pack up soon" Rachel said as they began to move

"Okay mum"

*********

"So where are we heading sir" Trina asked, her eyes focused on the ground

"The play ground"

"Oh. Last time I was at a playground was when I was still at the orphanage. It was always my favourite place, it was also there I said my goodbyes to my best friend Rosa" she paused to wipe off a single tear that had rolled down her cheeks "she was a very cheerful person, also like the big sister I never had; even though she was white. I miss her a lot"

"Do you ever wish you never left?"

"Some times. Who wouldn't? I mean After all I've been through since I left there. I wish I was still there and I wish that the head matron then; Ms Clark wasn't there. Then I wouldn't have been sold. I could have been someone's daughter and sister you know" she said wiping another drop as it down her almost red cheeks.

"I understand" Tristan said as he helped her seat on the swing and then he sat on the other one "it must have not been easy. It isn't easy. I'm sorry Trina"

"You don't have to apologize sir, its not your fault"

"I know. But we haven't been so nice to you, even after you shared your story. I'm sorry for that" he said facing her, and they just stayed quiet for a few minutes before she decided to break the silence

"Um, don't you think we should go back now?" She asked no longer wanting to talk about her past

"I guess we should" he said getting off the swing "let's go" he said giving her his hand.
