Weeks passed before Mina heard anything from Cylus, and by that time, she no longer cared what the man's family was doing or why. She watched what was happening, and prepared herself to protect her interests, and although she had not actually begun to chisel away at the worth of her transferred assets, she was ready to do it, no matter the consequences. When she transferred ownership to Cylus, she was doing so because she genuinely trusted him. He had enough money not to want hers, but now, she was feeling as though she made a mistake by leaning on him, and even worse, she felt like she lost someone important to her.
"Babe, why don't you just call him? I don't like to see you like this, especially over another man."
"While you were breaking me down, Cylus was lifting me up. You won't and never will understand how much he's helped me, even though he's owed me nothing."
