Ian did not like the way Mina and his father excitedly spoke to one another, leaving him out of their argument as if he were not even in the room.
"I don't believe it." Lucas said. "I've been to that country, and I've heard of the slums; there is no way that you would have been able to organize them toward a common goal."
"False. I was able to organize them, and if I call the right person, every unfriendly high-ranking officer in the country will be assassinated on sight."
"Who 'are' you?"
"I didn't choose the name, but they call me the judge." Lucas' eyes snapped to Ian who could only stare at Mina in shock. He assumed, but it was surprising to hear.
"You didn't tell me that," Ian said, walking toward his fiancé in concern. "How did you gain that title?"
