Mina struggled to remain calm as the driver of the car she was in cursed at the people who got in his way or at other vehicles that cut him off on the road, likely thinking that he was street racing. The gunman was no longer shooting, but she had a feeling that there was a much more sinister reason for the person to still be chasing them along a busy freeway.
"What's happening?"
"Just keep your head down. I can see them aiming." Mina suddenly realized that the assailant was likely trying to get a clear shot of the driver's head. Even if they did not shoot her, the man's foot would likely lodge on the gas pedal and kill her in a collision.
"We have to jump out of the car."
"And they will run us over; help is already on the way." Not wanting to be any more of a distraction, Mina called her parents, wanting to make sure that they were okay, but just like her, they were terrified.
"Mina, they won't let us leave. We haven't said or done anything wrong."
