Although Peter was no saint, there were many things he was unwilling to do. He liked Olivia, he found her beautiful, smart, and funny, but he was not ready to commit to her or anyone. He had just gotten out of a lie of a relationship, and he did not want to jump into another. His ex-fiancรฉ was no virgin when they started out, so it did not hurt his pride as much when he found out she was cheating on him, but if someone who had only been with him had done the same, Peter was not sure he would be able to take it.
"Olivia, whether you have or have not isn't important to me," Peter said. "You can tell me the truth." Olivia chuckled a bit because she had no reason to lie, and it mildly irritated her that Peter thought she would.
