On the other side of the house, Kace walked into his room and saw his wife was sitting on the edge of the bed. She was holding a piece of tissue in her hand and her nose was red from crying. When she saw him enter, she turned away from him and crossed her arms in anger. Kace's heart sank. He hated when she was angry with him.
"Baby… Charlotte. Please forgive me." Charlotte was not listening to him. They had dated for two years, and he never yelled at her. Now that they were a married couple would all of that change?" She did not know if she was overly sensitive because of the baby, or if she truly had something to worry about. Kace pleaded with his wife again.
"Char, please… I misdirected my anger. I was really angry with how my sister treated you." Kace gently cupped his wife's hand and kissed her fingers. She turned her face away from his, still upset.
