Chapter 75 - Chapter 75: A Corpse-less Battlefield

As Godo sat on his little wooden boat floating on the lake, he heard something rustling between the leaves.

Godo sat peacefully while still keeping an eye out, a beautiful wolf like creature, bigger than the previous wolf came out.

It had majestic white fur and golden silver eyes, it gave out the aura of an intelligent being and was also extremely powerful.

"What have you come here for."

As the wolf like creature heard that, it bowed its head and started speaking,

"O elderly man, this beast has come to ask of your assistance. My name is Fian, I am what is called a Fenrir."

"What kind of assistance could i give to the king of this forest."

"We are currently fighting a battle against the king of the area in the north. I am aware that we will not defeat them. Then, one of my brethrens told me of an old human who killed an Amarok in the blink of an eye.

So i have come to beg of you elderly human, this beast has come to ask of your support. I shall give you everything that you ask for. All i want is your assistance."

As the Fenrir finished speaking, it went silent as if the words fell on deaf ears. The Fenrir was starting to feel defeated and its face slowly twisted to the expression of anguish, when suddenly a voice spoke up,

"Rise, king of the forest. You are no beast, a beast was that corpse. A king should not bow his head so easily. Show me the direction where the battle is taking place."

As the Fenrir raised its head, it pointed its paw behind itself.

"Ahh"

As Godo said that, he decided to open one of his seals,

"First seal, opened, let's see what i should do."

Making this remark, he raised one of his hand and summoned the 7 unified magic he made earlier that night. When the Fenrir saw that, it was a bit fearful of the power Godo held.

'What kind of monster is this man, he won't blow up the place right?'

Then Godo slowly reduced its size smaller and smaller until eventually, it was at the size of a seed.

"Look at this Fenrir, try and comprehend, maybe you'll be able to open up a new road ahead."

'How did he know i was stuck at a bottleneck and did not know how to strengthen myself?'

(fwee)

The small seed sized, magic sphere flew behind it, as the Fenrir was looking at what was happening. What occured next, made the Fenrir question the identity of Godo.

It was an explosion, but it did not look like an explosion. Light escaped from the source but was stopped by darkness before it could travel further than Godo required. But while this happened, fire was flaring up around the light and thunder roared with lightning around it.

But the earth itself was being displaced, and the wind was working on it all from all possible directions, pushing towards the source. And finally, after it all ended, water came and extinguished the fire that was left behind.

"Now go Fenrir, you may need to help you brethrens. A king is most needed in the face of confusion and the displacement of people."

The Fenrir thanked Godo, and told him he would come back. Then it disappeared in the dark of night, back to the battlefield where no corpse was left behind.

A few minutes ago,

"Haha, that Fenrir Fian will not be expecting this. Today I'll take your territory and expand my control over the forest. Hehe, being stuck in a bottleneck, its the perfect time to attack."

A humanoid creature spoke. It had green coloured skin, and it looked like a goblin. But this type was not yet discovered by the general public. It wore ornaments around its neck, wrist, ankle, head and other places on its body.

This was the king of the area of the north. It was around the size of the Fenrir, and had other types of creatures like itself around it.

Launching a sneak attack, they fought the wolf like creatures resting in the forest. The Fenrir quickly used magic to protect its brethren, and was getting overwhemled for a moment. The Fenrir clenched its teeth and muttered,

"That Grith, how dare he fight us in the dark of the night. A sneak attack too."

The Fenrir went silent for a moment and checked the creature called Grith,

"So that's why, he has surpassed me. This is not a favourable position to be in."

As magic rained from the other side, the other wolf like creatures also started their counter-attack, under the protection of the Fenrir.

Even thought they were able to beat many of them, the wolf like creatures eventually felt exhausted, they were resting just a few moments ago after all.

"HAHAHA! FIAN!! Today is the day i will finally take over your territory!!"

"Keep on dreaming!!"

"Then you shall die denying the truth!!"

But the Fenrir knew it may not be a dream after all, it was slowly but quickly draining its powers, it felt extremely hopeless by the situation. When suddenly, one of the wolf like creatures spoke of an elderly human who defeated an Amarok in a blink of an eye.

'Is this a choice? A possible doom whichever path i choose, one is inevitable, while the other is an unknown outcome'

As the Fenrir quickly thought about it. It shouted loudly,

"My brethrens! Hold on for as long as you can! I shall come back with support!"

As the Fenrir said that, the protection that covered the other wolf like creatures became much more stronger and sturdy. Then it ran as quickly as possible, hoping the other side would be kind enough to help them.

.

.

Back to the present.

As the Fenrir quickly made its way back to the battlefield, it was horrifying.

"What kind of power is this?"

As blood spurted all over the area, even the the corpse of the king of the area in the north, was disintegrated. Only his ornaments were left behind.

"Huff, I'm glad the fight with the Amarok didn't anger him."

As the Fenrir said that, it howled in victory, the others did the same.

Godo watched from afar, and was happy for the Fenrir,

"You are no beast. Haha, yes you are no beast... So, what shall you do about the territory unconquered in the north?"

Saying it to himself, he went back to peacefully eating his cookies.

"I should go back to thank that old human. No, my biggest benefactor."

Somewhere inside a forest.

"Look at me. I have 3 summons now! A dog, a bird and a squirrel! Now no goblin pack can hurt me. Maybe i should try searching for a horde of them."

As the elf boy said that, he looked around him searching for prey, and some fruit. But then he heard something,

(drip)

"Huh what's this?"

(drip, drip, drip)

"I'm crying?"

(drip, drip, drip)

(sniff)

"Wh-what am i, a weasel? C-crying out of nowhere."

(sniff)

"Why won't they stop."

"Woof!"

The dog lend its paw to the boy, as if saying it was fine. The boy seeing it, hugged the dog,

"Y-yea, maybe i was just denying it. Dying is still sad after all."

The boy cried, knowing that he will not be able to see the relatives he had left. The dog woofed lowly, and sat their obediently.

Some god ruling the Galaxy Supercluster.

"Yes, it still hurts after all."
