Chapter 76 - Chapter 76: Making A Martial Arts

The Fenrir, delighted by the outcome of the battle, went back to Godo to thank him once again.

Godo was still calmly sitting on his boat.

"My greatest benefactor. Please allow me to give you something in return of your assistance. I shall give you anything you desire."

"Desire? What i desire?"

"..."

Then silence fell for a moment,

"I do not have desires. But that would be troublesome isn't it? So, how about this. I want your loyalty. Absolute loyalty."

"That is ver-"

"In the future, i will come; maybe send my students into this forest. When that time comes, I hope that you will be able to support them."

"Do not worry elder. I shall give my utmost support when that time comes. But, what should i do if others come before you do? How shall i differentiate your students?"

"That, i shall leave it up to you."

Not knowing how to respond to that, the Fenrir asked one last question,

"Benefactor, please allow me to ask you of one selfish request."

"Go on."

"Please- no. I beg of you, teach me how to advance further into my powers."

It went quiet after that, the Fenrir was scared, did it accidentally anger Godo? Was he thinking it was too greedy? Will he get angry and instead start rampaging around the forest?

"The powers of magical creatures have different ways to advance as compared to the ways of man. But, i shall help you. You are currently stuck in one of the Realm of Enlightenment, well that's what i call it at least. There are multiple of them.

A magical creature has realms like how humans have magic grades. For magic creatures. the first realm is what i call the Realm of Sensation. The moment a creature senses mana around itself and is able to take it into its body, that is when it reaches the first realm.

So technically humans are magical creatures too. But there is a difference.... But you don't need to know that. The Realm of Enlightenment is one of the bottlenecks a magical creature will face. And also, if you eventually become strong enough, and with enough luck

A magical creature can reach the realm of deities, or gods. Of course you can't attain godhood through power or magic alone, you need something else, well some 'things'."

Being let known by this fact, the Fenrir didn't really believe Godo completely. It made the Fenrir question the identity of Godo yet again.

But, can a Fenrir like it really reach the realm of the God of Light Vara? It sounded like pure hypocrisy, but it still held that slight hope. Who wouldn't want to be a god after all.

"Hmm, i can see you do not believe me. Well i maybe getting old, talking nonsense and such."

"Benefactor. Are you perhaps,, a god?"

"Perhaps? Perhaps not? Who knows?"

Not getting anything out of the question, the Fenrir decided to ask the earlier question yet again.

"Then Benefactor, how shall i advance further?"

Then Godo started to explain to the Fenrir, what it should try to do, what it should aim for and what it should not do.

Then an hour passed. The Fenrir was closely listening to everything he said. After that it thanked Godo one last time, then disappeared under the moonlight.

'Hmm, i wonder if Vara would notice this. Oh speak of the devil, he's starting to observe me. Well I don't like trouble, so I'll just act normal'

As he thought that to himself, he went back to his boat, and sat again. This time instead of spending the time doing nothing, he started thinking about creating another skill, or moves if you might say.

"I have The Five Step Assault, Diverse Blades, Magic Unification, Magic Enhancing, Strength Amplification, the original Creator's Blades, and some other minor ones."

"..."

"What do i not have?"

He started thinking.

"A fist technique? Ah! Martial Arts! Yes! Let's make some martial arts first."

As he said that, he started to use 'Create'.

A few minutes later, Godo was standing on his boat, testing out the moves.

"Ok, let's use. 'Great Fist'."

As he said that, he got into position, retrieved his arm beside his waist, and clenched it, Hard. Then, a yellow aura slowly started to envelope his arm. Then as he swung his arm back and punched it in front of him,

'Great Fist'

The lake, which was calm and composed, was disturbed. The lake splashed loudly, and water came up from inside it. The range was also quite far, Godo used the move from somewhere near the center of the lake, and it was able to affect the trees and other objects a few hundred meters away from the lake.

"Hmm, quite strong i must say. I wonder what would happen if i release all of my seals."

As he talked loudly, he went into position again. This time he used 'Great Claws'

He slowly sat down a bit, then started to tense up his muscles. His arms were enveloped by a red aura. Then he put both his arms in an 'x' shape in front of him such that the intersection point was in front of his face. Then he gripped his hands hardly. (think of Whitebeard)

Then he moved his hands sideway in both sides. Then the air cracked open, as if the curtains of reality were opened. But it was only for a split second, until the laws of the world came back to fix up the irregularities.

The physical damage this time was not really seen, as Godo meant for it to be a close ranged attack. Satisfied by it, he said again

"Good. That should be enough. Now a series of close combat moves. I'll name this..... I'll just let Shuya name it."

Getting back into position again, he started to perform 12 sets of moves. They didn't have that much physical damage as they damaged the inner workings of a living being rather then the outside, but the last set was also enough to level a fairly large chunk of area. This time, it did not meet his expectations.

"The fluidity of the change between the sets are too stiff. In a real combat, it may prove fatal."

As he thought about how to fix it, he decided to exclude 3 of the moves. Now it was as fluid as one could hope.

"Well if Fian still has troubles explaining to the creatures of this area, I'll leave that mark for an easier time."

He said as he looked at the damage he caused with 'Great Fist'

"Now let's keep on trying them out."

Somewhere in a White Canvas Space.

A deity was floating above the intangible ground, looking out with his golden eyes.

"Is this human- no, is this creature a Higher God? I couldn't even sense him entering my area of influence."

This is Vara, a God of Light. He is currently observing Godo.

"What!?!"

"..."

"A simple move, and he destroyed reality?"

"He's a god too no doubt, unless he has. A Transcendent Artifact."

"..."

"I may need to be on guard."
