After completing the 'Magical Enchanted Book', or so Nene calls it. Godo decided to give it to Shuya, but he suddenly thought of another plan. How about instead of giving it, he gifted it.
So first things first, he was still in his room, with Nene. Then he raised his hand, then twisted it like he was locking a door.
Then suddenly out of nowhere, a guy dressed in all black appeared before where Godo was sitting. Nene was surprised by the sudden appearance of a man he had never seen. But decided to not question it.
So Godo proceeded to question the man.
"You. Why have you been following us?!"
The man shuddered a bit when he heard what Godo said. Not wanting to create misunderstandings and bad impressions, he quickly answered back.
"My name is Drude. I-i was asked by the Guildmaster to observe Shuya and Rai to know whether they would be able to qualify."
"Qualify? Qualify for what?"
"That i cannot say unless they have qualified."
After the man called Drude said that, Godo said to him,
"You seem rather composed for a man who was suddenly teleported here."
"Ha-haha, I was trained to always be composed and not lose cool." he lied.
Infact this man was having a crisis akin to having a mental breakdown, if what Godo said was true, and he was really teleported here, with ease at that. That would mean he is at the least a Grade 11 Mage.
And if he was angered for observing them. Then you bet he was minced meat. But Godo wasn't really focusing on that.
Godo thought about the possible things that this qualification could lead to. But he asked with a hint of curiousity and questioned him,
"So, according to your observation, what do you think about them?"
"They haven't quite yet qualified."
"Hmm, is that so?"
There was a pause between the words. Which made Drude even the more nervous.
"What do they have to do before qualifying?"
"Um, they have to either be a Grade 4 Mage, become a D rank adventurer or have excellent mastery over a style."
"Wait, by a style do you mean, martial style or weapon style?"
"It can be whatever kind of style, as long as they have mastery over it."
"Hmm then, how long do they have?"
"They still have around 2 weeks or so."
"That seems like a long time. Well then you can go now."
As Godo said that, he snapped his fingers. Then fwoosh, he was back to where he was before. The man named Drude was confused, but didn't want to offend Godo in any way, so he decided to continue observing them again without reporting it to the Guildmaster.
There may be people who were Grade 10 or above inside the guild, but he felt that Godo was not even using a quarter of his power when he did the teleportation, So he decided to play it safe.
Godo on the other hand, was thinking about how to make them qualify for whatever thing they had to qualify for. Becoming D rank seemed like the easiest way to qualify. But Godo wanted more.
Of course becoming D rank was not bad as a last choice, but he wanted them to qualify without having to use it.
"Becoming a Grade 4 Mage or having mastery over a style huh?" Godo muttered.
"Um Sir Godo, who was that man? I heard him talk about a qualification or something?"
"Oh, well Nene, it seems the Grandmaster of the guild has sent out observers, to observe, Younger adventurers to see whether they would qualify for something or not. Or atleast that's what i make out of it."
"Oh, well shouldn't i be a part of it?"
"It seems to me spirits are an exception."
"Whaaat? that's not fair, I'm still a kid too."
"Haha, why don't i call back Drude and you ask him?"
Nene started to think. Should she do it? or not. Will there be a reason that stops her from qualifying? Will she get to go along with Shuya and Rai if they qualified?
She thought.
"Ok, Sir Godo please do."
Then Godo started to do the previous actions again. And then fwoosh, Drude came back.
The man looked confused, why was he teleported here again? He thought.
'Wait, did i do something to anger him?'
At the thought of that Drude started to shiver. But Godo asked with a rather friendly tone.
"Oh hey Drude, Nene would like to ask you something."
When he heard that, he became relieved. So he faced the little spirit, and heard what she had to say,
"Mr.Drude, can i be included in the qualification thing? I am also still a kid."
Drude started to think about it. Would he be able to ask the Guildmaster? Well that could not yet be known. But how should he answer now. Well that was also easy. He should just answer neutrally.
"Sorry, i am not sure. I will have to ask the Guildmaster first. If you want i can go and ask him."
Drude answered adding the last few words to make sure he wasn't offending them in any way.
"Oh well, please could you ask the Guildmaster for me?"
Drude nodded. After seeing the conversation end, Godo decided to send him back again.
"Well, tell the Guildmaster i said hi."
Godo said again in a friendly tone, which started to make Drude think if he was a friend of the Guildmaster or not.
