Chris stood in the spotlight on the stage and stared over the crowd before him. Men were shouting and hailing his name while women shouting, tried reaching out to him and securities trying to push them backwards.
He stood there with his guitar and spoke against the microphone before him, his voice sounding loud and explicit on the overcrowded hall.
" Hello!." His voice as a trumpet. "Do you want to hear me sing?"
"Yes", the crowd shouted.
He placed his fingers on the strings of the guitar and started playing it. The whole crowd was cheering for him, he lowered his mouth to the microphone and began to sing in a soothing and melodious voice. Immediately the ladies heard his voice, they started screaming, some shedding tears of joy and other reaching out their hands to him.

6:24pm in the evening, Jane sat on a cushion in the living room reading a novel when her sister rushed in, grabbing the TV remote and switching the TV on-- scanning through the channels when she stopped abruptly on a channel called "MTV" causing Jane to fidget.
"What are you looking for?" Jane asked surprised as her sister was busy searching the TV.
"Sis?." Fortune called, turning her face to Jane. Her eyes beaming with excitement. "Your friend is performing at "Eko hotel and suites at Victoria Island".
Jane looked puzzled at her. "Which of my friend?", Jane asked trying to remember one of her friends that is into music.
"Chris! Christy the pop star!" Fortune said in an emphatic tone.
"What?!." Jane exclaimed. "Tell me you're joking?. She asked, rhetorically.
Fortune didn't know whether if it was a question or a statement but she had to answer it anyway.
"No!." Fortune shouted with joy.
"Wow, that's so nice". Jane said her voice full of hysteria.
She turned her face from her sister to the television where Chris was shown on the screen as he was playing and singing and the whole crowd cheering for him.
She stared at his silhouette on the screen, he was still handsome the way she met him on Facebook, she saw the radiant excitement in his eyes as he sang. Will he still recognise her if they mistakenly bump into each other?.
Will he still see her as a friend after she'd confessed her feelings to him telling him that she was interested in him?. Telling him she wanted them to date.
She tightened her eyes in disgust, what was she thinking that Chris would fall for a girl like her?. She wasn't the type of girl he would want to date and he had dismissed the topic although he didn't say it clearly to her, but what was she thinking trying to date someone she haven't met in reality, she felt like a fool confessing her feelings to him.
She wasn't the type who confesses her feelings first to a man 'cause she thinks it was letting down her pride and dignity as a woman. But Chris was so different from men she'd come across because it seemed as if he'd cast an everlasting spell on her and she can't seem to forget about him.
"Can we go now?." Fortune asked bringing her back to reality.
"Where?." Jane asked searching her sister's eyes.
"At his concert." Fortune answered.
Jane widened her eyes in shock, maybe her ears were doing some trick on her.
"What?!." She asked, trying to process what her sister just said.
"Yes sis, let's go. And he will be happy to see you there." Fortune encouraged.
At that statement Jane didn't know what to feel, she felt her blood ran cold in her system and her heart raced.
"No." She snapped.
"Why?." Her sister asked, surprise.
She didn't know what to say to at that question, facing Chris was the last thing she wants to do. Seeing him face to face in reality after so many years of longing to see him, she didn't want to bring back the memories she tried hard to forget.
She tried hard to live without him, tried hard to stop fantasying about both of them having a future together.
"I don't want to face him". She replied, her voice sounded more like a whisper.
Fortune gave her a questioning look. "What are you talking about?." Her sister asked in a rhetorical tone.
"I don't want to face him now." Jane repeated.
"Sis, you always wanted to meet him." Her sister began. "Now the opportunity had come you want to let it slide?." Fortune asked feeling disheartened at her sister's respond.
"Please sis let's go." Jane saw the pled in her eyes, she had never seen her sister so concerned about her this much, yea she knew her sister wants the best for her but facing Chris was totally out of the picture.
"This may be the last time you'll see him, please don't let go of this moment" Fortune concluded.
Fortune was correct, maybe this might be the first and last time she'll ever set her eyes on him and she didn't want to lose the opportunity of finally meeting her friend in reality.
If facing Chris is what she really wanted, then so be it.
"Okay, let's do it." She replied, standing up.
"Yes!." Fortune exclaimed folding her right hand into a fist.
She made her way through the stairs into their room, Fortune followed behind her singing in a triumphant tone. She and her sister had a quick bath and changed into something casual before leaving, they informed their parents were going.
