A few hours after the ceremony ended, Molly and Jacob decided to stay outside the conventional hall to have a short talk before bidding each other farewell.
"Time flies so fast." Jacob held Molly's slender hands. "It feels like I just met you yesterday."
"I promised you that I'd tell you today right?" Molly clutched her dress as she wiped the back of her hand across her eyes which had started to water.
"Why are you tearing up? Didn't I already tell you that I was ready to hear it?"
"I-I'm sorry...for the times I hurt you, for the times I lied to you, and for the times I've pushed you away. Holding back was the worst mistake I've ever made, so please for-forgive me, Jacob."
"You were a risk worth taking. I do hope that one day, you'd give your heart to someone who'd hold it tight as if it was their own, Molly."
"Silly! Did you not understand?" Molly wrapped her arms around him, holding him tight. "I love you. It has always been you. I don't want anyone else to have your heart, kiss your lips, or be in your arms. I don't wanna make the same mistake again. I love you and I don't want to lose you because life had always been better since the day I met you."
"You sure about that? You might be confessing to the wrong person."
"Do you not love me anymore...?"
Jacob caressed her cheeks and smiled. "I've never stopped loving you, Molly. No matter how hard it gets or how much we argue, I will never leave you. I'll never let go..."
As they both stared into each other's eyes, tears flowing down their cheeks. Jacob then grabbed her waist and pulled her closer.
"You're beautiful," Jacob whispered as the gust of wind blew a strand of Molly's hair into her face. He then brushed it back, making her turn away from him, hiding her embarrassment.
"Don't do that." Molly blushed.
"Your hair was blocking my view."
Jacob then cupped his hand underneath her chin and lowered his head to kiss her. Time stopped as his lips met hers, but the flutter didn't. Molly's heart pounded as she felt his soft lips against her mouth. She started kissing him, pulling him closer.
"Are you leaving soon?" Molly rested her head on his chest.
"I know the address of the apartment you and Abigail are staying in." Jacob pecked her lips. "That won't be a problem."
"What I meant was—"
Jacob put his finger on her lips. "There'll always be a way."
Meanwhile...
"Hurry up and tell me what you want." Nicholas opened the can of coke, glaring at the woman sitting beside him.
"Congratulations," the woman greeted.
"Ella, don't expect us to get back—"
"I'm here to say goodbye before we part ways."
"Is there a need to? We have nothing to do with each other."
"I've learned a lot from our relationship," Ella placed her bag on her lap. "It makes me strive do become a better version of myself."
Nicholas stood up, rolling his eyes. "Do you think I care?"
"We're not together anymore, but your still in my mind everyday. You're the one who broke my heart and made me cry, but I'm still in love with you and I have no idea why, Nic."
"What are you telling me this for? Hoping that I'd pity you? Well now that your single, why don't you try giving Peter a chance? He was the one who loved you first after all."
"Why? So that you could be with that hideous woman?"
"Keep your mouth shut if you have nothing good to say." Nicholas clenched his fist, wanting to hit her. "Whether or not I like Adele has nothing to do with you."
"You plan to hit me? Go and do it then." Ella stretched out both of her arms.
"I know what you've done to Peter's girlfriend in high school. Don't you dare do anything to hurt Adele or I'll rip that skin of your face."
