"Move it! Hurry up!"
Keagan's head is forcefully pushed. If not for the fact that his hands were handcuffed, he would have given a broken nose with a side of black eyes to the guy.
"I can walk myself, big guy. No need for such violence." Keagan rolled his eyes.
"Who knows what plan you're scheming in your head? Hurry, get in there and wait until my boss calls for you."
The man pushed Keagan into a room with bright white lights and disturbingly white walls.
"Why would you choose to paint the walls white? It's horrible!" Keagan complained.
"Good that you find this place horrible. It's supposed to intimidate you and not shelter you comfortably like a hotel," the man grunts.
Keagan gasps. "So first you're violent and now you're a psychopath? What the-"
The man smirked at Keagan and pointed a gun towards him. "K, would you stop talking already? Who are you to judge whether I'm a violent person or not? Aren't you always robbing places? I smell a stench of hypocrisy right there."
Keagan calmly pushes the gun away. "Well, I must say, you have quite a nose. Are you, perhaps, a dog?"
The man pulled Keagan's collar and threw him onto the floor. "Who are you calling a dog?"
Keagan sat up slowly, wincing in pain. "I hope my ribs aren't broken," he muttered.
Keagan looked at the man, who was clearly fuming in rage. "Take a chill pill, buddy. You'll get wrinkles if you keep scrunching your face like that. And everybody likes to stay young. Are you married?"
The man's eyes widened as he started pulling up his sleeves. "A chill pill? I'm about to shove it up your ass if you keep talking."
The man charged to Keagan, pulled him up and pinned him against the wall.
"Wait, before you hit my gorgeous face, can I say something?" Keagan stopped him.
"Speak."
"I didn't take you for a kinky guy. But, sadly, I'm straight."
At that point, the man's face turned red, probably out of anger and embarrassment.
"I hope that was your last words because buddy, you're about to die today."
A fist came in contact with Keagan's face. And another. And another. And another.
"STOP!" A feminine voice resonated in the room.
The man immediately let go of Keagan and looked at the female. "Vanessa?"
"How dare you hit him! Boss would be so angry!"
"I-"
"Go out and reflect on what you did! After that, confess your wrongdoings to our boss."
Keagan's eyes were barely opening when the woman kneeled by his side. "K-Keagan?"
How does she know my name?
Keagan forced his eyes open and to his surprise, he saw
Sarah.
A malicious smile appeared on his face. "Ah, I was wondering how did an FBI agent know my name. It turns out it's my darling Sarah. Oh wait, was it Vanessa?"
"Keagan, are you okay?"
"What does my wellbeing have to do with you? Isn't it better if I died? That way, the FBI wouldn't need to send a woman to me. Ah, how foolish I was to reject Fred's idea to shoot you!"
"Keagan, your face is turning purple. Why did you have to trigger him further?"
"Trigger? I think you're misunderstanding something. I was having a mutual conversation but he had to get riled up and start throwing punches at me. FBI agents are a whole new level of craziness."
Vanessa sighed. "Keagan, let's get you some help, okay? Also, it isn't exactly smart of you to openly criticize the FBI, especially when you're in their place."
"My mouth, my words, my will. I ostracize whoever I want, whenever I want, wherever I am. Get out of here before I strangle you to death. My hands are itching for some violence now."
Vanessa smiled at Keagan bitterly. "I know you hate me right now, but I need to take you to meet the Boss."
"What the hell is this place? Am I an object to you? You can't just play pass-the-dude until I meet the Boss. Is he some bigshot?"
"Keagan, I- we really need to go there now. The Boss hates tardiness."
Keagan scoffed. "I see, so he's just some dude who thinks the world revolves around him. No wonder his agents are demented."
Vanessa sighed again and pulled Keagan up. "Come on, K."
"Don't touch me, you disgusting liar." Keagan snarked as he limped towards the door, leaving a clenched-fist woman behind him.
(A/N : Remember, Sarah is now Vanessa. Okay? Okay.)
After many twists and turns down hallways and corridors, both of them finally reached a grand door.
'Senior Special Agent : Kayden Thorn'
"Before we go in, I beg you Keagan, please keep those snarky remarks to yourself. Boss might not be as forgiving as I am," Vanessa whispered.
Keagan rolled his eyes. "You know, if you think I will take any advice from you, you're delusional. Have you forgotten that you are the cause of my presence here? What makes you think I'll ever believe a single squeak from you again?"
"Keagan, just listen to me, alright? You might not care what she would do to you, but can you please think of the consequences that would be directed to your sidekicks?"
"Blackmailing me now, Vanessa? That's low of you. How dare you use my friends as bargaining chips! What difference would it make between the almighty FBI and kidnappers? Nothing!"
"K, I've told many lies to you, but I never lied about me adoring Bob. I really, really hope he isn't harmed. He's my idol."
"Oh, you adore Bob? Aww, that's sweet. Should I get some popcorn to see you get all emotional? How about some tissues?" Keagan mocked.
Vanessa groaned. "You know what, just get in there already. Good luck meeting the devil of the team."
"Tsk, another impatient person. People should start taking it easy and slow. The world would be better that way," Keagan clicked his tongue as Vanessa pushed the doors open.
