Rose's POV|
Picture this.
You're sitting in maths class, chewing on the end of your pencil as you try to figure out this impossible equation, and along comes a typical Calvin Klein bad boy model who sits beside you and asks you this;
"Hey, I'm new and I was wondering if you know CPR, because you took my breath away"
Can I just say, where do I even begin to describe the sexiness of the voice coming out of his mouth? You know, that deep yet luscious voice that makes you weak in the knees.
Well, simple. I don't.
I already once fell for a charming bad boy, and it ain't happening again. I've had to learn the hard way that bad boys aren't the same as the ones you read in a romance novel.
They're called bad boys for a reason and the ones you read about who hide up their feelings and emotions due to having a terrible past, is all just the mere fantasies and delusions of girls who desperately want a guy like that.
Now don't get me wrong, a lot of girls dream of the one who will be good for her only and I admit, I am one of those girls. But experiencing pain where it feels as though your heart is being ripped out of your chest, is something I would never risk my life to feel again.
Even if it means living a miserable and lonely life.
I take the pencil out of my mouth, turn to face this so called 'bad boy' and raise my left eyebrow. "I don't know CPR actually. But I know karate and I could rip your lungs out. So leave me alone, I'm not interested."
He stares back amused and leans in closer. "Oh, but I'm the guy you dream of dating and come on, let's be honest here, I am model material." He grins still leaning in. He then positions his lips near my ear and whispers softly. "No one can resist me. Even the ones who play hard to get."
My brow rises higher as I look at him with the most annoyed look I could muster. Why do guys not get the hint!?
"I am not playing hard to get because I want nothing to do with rude and disrespectful jerks like you who think good looks and new branded clothing are going to impress me." I grit out, suddenly becoming irritated at how this self conceited low life thinks he can waltz his ass in here and accuse me of acting 'hard to get'.
He only smirks in return, my words not at all a bother to him. "They all end up falling for my charms in the end anyways. For some, it just takes a little longer since they're in denial."
Is he serious?
I was about to argue back and give him a piece of my mind when the bells rings, signalling that it was time for break. The nameless model grabs my hand and places a gentle kiss before placing a small piece of paper in my palm and walking out with his hands in his pocket.
I blink and stare at my hand that has the small paper. I was honestly scared to open it because if it's what I think it is....then I'll burn the paper till it's nothing but ashes.
I close one eye and peep with the other. And dare I say, I was right.
The jerk gave me his number.
I don't even know his name for crying out loud!
I stomp my way out of the classroom, noticing I was the only one left and head to the table where I meet my friends.
I can't believe I'm stuck with this guy for a whole year! I mean, what is a guy like him even doing here in a strict boarding school like this one? You need to practically be a rich nerd to get in. He didn't even do his math work in class! All he did was expertly get under my nerves.
As I was making my way down to the cafeteria, girls were gossiping and giggling about the new kid who looked as if he came out of a model magazine. I roll my eyes and walk over to my friends who seem to be having some war over fries.
"Those are my fries you oompah Loompa butthole!" Shrieked Laura as she aimed to attack her twin, Lewis.
"You drank my soda that I payed for!" Lewis argues back as he continues munching on Laura's fries.
"With what? Mum and dads money?"
I sigh and plop myself next to Laura.
"Hey boo, what's wrong?" Laura questions as she takes a sip from what I assume to be Lewis's soda.
"Some idiot just gave me his number." I mumble and harshly take a bite out of my Nutella sandwich as I glare at a spot on the table.
"Can I know this idiots name?" She questions amused.
"Idiot." I simply reply.
"What?"
"I said his name is idiot. You know, the new kid."
"Oh my gosh! You mean the new hot guy!? Can I....have his number then if you don't want it...?" Laura asks innocently as she plays around with the bracelet I got her for her birthday last year.
I shrug and hand it over without thinking twice. She squeals and hugs me before disappearing somewhere. I guess you could say that Laura is one of those girls who loves bad boys because she thinks she can somewhat change them to becoming a better person. Her choice I guess, I'm not one to judge.
"Did you read the book for English?" Lewis suddenly spoke up and that's when I had choked on my sandwich. After successfully looking like a dying walrus for ten minutes, I clear my throat and answer an amused Lewis.
"What book?" I question nervously. This is so not like me to not complete homework in time. Oh my gosh. I think I'm having a panic attack!
"Woah Rose, calm down. Deep breath in, now deep breath out." Lewis softly says. "The Great Gatsby?" He asks munching into more fries.
I sigh in relief as my heart rate is now back to normal. "Gosh You scared me. I read that ages ago so yeah I'm good."
"Where's Malcolm?" I suddenly question as I look around the cafeteria. Malcolm is the other best friend to put it simply. Let's just say, my crush for him is growing everyday and I wish it could stop. He's that perfect cute nerd with brown eyes and big glasses.
"He had to go to the sick bay during third period. So you might find him at his dorm."
Excusing myself, I hurriedly walk to Malcolm's dorm room. Just as I was about to turn the corner, someone grabbed me by the upper arm and pulled me backwards.
"AHH I'M BEING KIDNAPPED!"
