Alexei suddenly felt quite bad for Kol. Perhaps he wasn't a bad person. Perhaps he was simply a very, gullible, naïve boy; Somewhat like a prince he knew was probably overthinking in that tree he was sitting in.
Xavier walked off and Kol slumped onto the forest floor, breathing hard. Alexei watched him. If what Xavier said was true, and their intention was to get the Verbatians to behave differently... Then they'd gotten them quite good.
He had been quite a... nasty fellow in the last few days towards Kol. Everyone must have been watching this and thinking Verbatians really were pompous.
Sighing, he waited till Xavier was out of hearing range and then dropped out of the tree.
Kol seemed quite weak as he wiped his nose and tried to get off the floor.
