Flashback Part 3: Alexei

The child looked back at the other four in the ring. He had an expression on his face that made Alexei start to worry even more.
How was he going to get Calibri out of this? And how in the world had these people captured Kreia? The princess was tightly holding the side of his robe and on his left side, Calibri was pushing himself into him, as if he wanted to hide in Alexei's shoulder.
It worried him because Calibri didn't scare easily. He could watch dissections without screaming at the blood unproblematically. Looking down, he frowned.
Calibri didn't look scared at all. He seemed to be... Pensive. He was staring around at the people and the room.
The black-haired child watched them for a moment before he looked at the redhead. "They want you to do something for them, so you can make demands too. Either way, they will kill us, or they won't."
Someone tsked.
