It turned out that the man in the golden armor was the King of Borin. To think that he would come to the battlefield himself, it's as if he already knew that the Alliance was coming.
'The King of Borin really is something else' they all thought. To join the battle, they didn't know if he was brave or stupid. If he dies here then it would be the end of Borin.
While everyone was sizing up King Gregory III, his attention focused on the kneeling soldiers.
"Rise" uttered the King. His voice was soft but it carried a commanding tone that no one seemed to be able to resist.
Every soldier got up and the look of despair on their face vanished. The King's presence alone was giving them strength. They feel like they can do anything if their King was with them.
The General got up and went behind the King showing utmost subservience.
"People from foreign lands, heed my words. Turn back now and I will pardon your insolence." King Gregory said.
Silence answered his order. After a few seconds more…
"King of Borin, I'm afraid we can't oblige to your request." Said a lady General.
Before the King could even reply, a shout was heard..
"The gal! Who do you think you are?! You're just a lowly peasant compared to the King! You think the King was requesting for you to leave?! Impudent! That was obviously a command!" Shouted General Douglas while fuming.
King Gregory stared speechless at the General. 'What the hell are you getting so worked up for?' thought the King.
"Stand down General." said the King.
"Forgive me, your Majesty" said the General while kneeling again.
The lady General didn't know what she did wrong to be berated by General Douglas.
"Let's not waste anymore words then. Borinians! Prepare for battle!" The King exclaimed.
The war horn resounded throughout the battlefield followed by the war cries of all the soldiers.
*RWAAARRHHHGG!* a deafening war cry resembling a Lion's roar reverberated throughout the battlefield.
The Alliance didn't stay idle and also proceeded to advance.
*ARGGHH* A synchronized shout echoed all around.
"My King your sword is ready" General presented a big double edge sword while kneeling.
'What's up with this guy and kneeling' thought the King. He knew the General since he was a teenager. And everytime they would meet the General would kneel. The King already said that he doesn't have to kneel every time they would meet. But he still does it.
The King gazed at the big sword. Caressing it like one would a lover. He gripped the handle and raised it over his head. The sword has a length of 165 cm. Reaching his shoulder when they stand side by side.
"Excalion, it's finally time for you us to go on a rampage once again." The King said to his sword. A faint roar could be heard from the sword as if feeling excited.
The King assumed a battle stance.
King Gregory closed his eyes. His mind drifted to the time his father, the previous King, was teaching him how to control the curse.
"Let the blood flow in reverse to awaken the curse." He uttered as he remembered what his father said to him. His body trembled slightly and then expanded a little bit. His muscles bulged out. And eyes that can be seen on the holes of his helmet turned bloodshot red. He looked like a monster that's hungry for blood. He turned from an elegant knight in shining armor to a beast with a savage disposition.
After what seems to be a transformation he dashed straight to the enemies front lines. Bypassing one soldier after another. The Borinian soldiers were scared shitless when they saw a golden blur flashed beside them. Before the Borinians clashed with the Alliance, King Gregory was already in front of the enemy.
An Alliance soldier who was advancing on the frontlines suddenly saw a golden blur and felt a tug on his neck. The next thing he knew, he was looking at a headless body wobbling before finally falling down.
"Eh?" Thought the soldier, that was his last thought before his consciousness left him. His head fell to the ground. Making the other soldiers behind him halt their advance. After stopping they saw a man in gold armor standing in front of them wielding a big ass sword.
King Gregory stretched his body as if warming up after his first kill. He then looked at the soldiers in front of him with cold eyes. The soldiers felt as if a predator was looking at them. The next moment, he disappeared, the soldiers only saw a golden blur before being hacked to pieces. The other soldiers who were far from him didn't notice the commotion and continued their advance.
The Borinians and the Alliance finally collided. And the orchestra of war finally began. Sounds of swords clashing can be heard. It's as if the cellos are playing. Deafening gunshots resounded throughout as if trumpets were being used. Tanks heavy shots were like bass drums. Beams flying everywhere were like violins. Missiles whistling through the air were like flutes and the grenades acted as cymbals. Different tunes for different weapons. Truly it can be said that this was the very definition of the art of war.
Others might say that it was the strategy, tactics and techniques of combat that represents the art of war. They're not wrong but in this war the former represents it best.
As the symphony of war was playing in the background, the conductors, the Generals were guiding this concerto in the way that they would come out victorious. The soldiers were dancing to the tune. A dance where a single mistake was equal to their death.
King Gregory's rampage amidst the enemies ranks didn't go unnoticed.
The Generals of the Alliance had already focused their attention to him.
"Bombard him! Gun him down!" Said a General.
A fighter jet closed in on the King. A series of machine gun shots were fired at the King. But not a single bullet was able to find its mark. The King was too fast and too nimble. In fact the pilot of the fighter jet had already lost his target.
"Where is he?!" Asked the pilot anxiously..
Below the ground the General who ordered the pilot had a panic stricken face.
He grabbed the communicator and shouted.
"ABOVE YOU!!! Look out!" Shouted the General.
The pilot looked up but the only thing that he saw was a blade that had a red shine to it. After killing the pilot, King Gregory observed the battlefield. He frowned.
He was above the cockpit. He saw that his army was already losing its momentum. They were being pushed back little by little. 'I guess we were far too outnumbered' the King thought. He could kill more enemies and lessen the burden on the other soldiers but it would take too much time. They wouldn't be able to last if this continues.
Before the jet fell to the ground, the King had already jumped off. After landing the King surveyed the enemies as if looking for someone. After finding what he was looking for. He darted straight to it not wasting any more time.

(Alliance base camp, inside a tent)
"Prince Wayne, please return back to the ship. It isn't safe here." Said a soldier to a General who was wearing a blue uniform.
"I am the General of the Trifen army! How can I just stay back at the ship while my soldiers are fighting? Only cowards would hide at the back while everyone is fighting"
It appears that the one General Douglas called a dog of the Trifen Kingdom turned out to be its Prince. He has brown hair and dark brown eyes almost looking black. He was quite tall and his body was well built.
"But your Highness you-"
"Well said Prince Wayne, a General should be with their soldiers to the very end." a beautiful voice interrupted the soldier. She has a black hair, shoulder length. An oval shaped face with light blue and round eyes. She was a petite young woman.
"Princess Kate, It seems that we share the same principle." Said Prince Wayne while performing an elegant greeting.
Princess Kate returned the greeting and stood beside Prince Wayne, they both looked at the battlefield on the holographic screen and a smile can be seen on their face.
"Victory is ours, once we defeat the soldiers. King Gregory would not pose any problem." Said Prince Wayne while his hands were behind his back. He looked as if assured of their victory.
"That is only natural. But we should always prepare for something unexpected" said Princess Celes.
"That's right, always be prepared for the unexpected." A voice resounded at their back.
The two immediately turned back only to see a man wearing a golden armor with a broad sword stained with blood.
The soldier who was talking to Prince Wayne earlier was lying on the floor lifeless.
"Wha-" before the Prince could even say a single word, the blade of the sword was pushed against his neck.
Princess Kate on the other hand gripped a laser gun that was hanging on her waist and fired it at the head of the man at point-blank.
Headshot!
Is what they thought but what they saw only made their jaw drop. The man tilted his head sideways and dodged the laser. It was inhumanely fast.
The man made a roundhouse kick. Kicking away the gun Princess Kate was holding.
Princess Celes was about to call for backup when she suddenly lost consciousness. The man quickly moved close to her and made a chopping movement at her neck which knocked her out.
After that he turned his head toward the Prince who wasn't able to do anything because a sword was pressed against his neck.
"It has been a while, Wayne. You look distressed." Said the man.
"Who wouldn't when a sword is pressed against their neck." Prince Wayne answered.
"Oh right, my bad." Said the man after taking his sword away.
"What do you want? Even if you take me as a hostage I doubt the other Kingdoms would care and stop their troops." Said Prince Wayne.
"You misunderstood my intention, I'm not here for you. I'm here to meet your Father." Said the man as he took off his helmet. He has short blonde curly hair with a matching amber eye color. He had a high nose bridge and he was smiling at the Prince like they were friends who haven't seen each other in a long time.
"My father isn't here." Said the Prince but he quickly realized what the man means.
With no other choice but to stall for time. He needed to wait for the other Generals to notice that he wasn't commanding his troops and wait for them to come here, he took out a circular Emblem with a Blue crown engraved on it and placed it on the table nearby.
After a while a hologram of a man sitting on a throne was displayed. He looked like an older version of Prince Wayne except for the white hair on the sides of his head.
"Wayne, what's the situation over there? Is it over already?" Asked the man on the throne.
"Father, someone is here to talk to y-" before Prince Wayne could even finish he was interrupted by the man.
"Greetings King of Trifen" said the man.
"Gregory!!!" Exclaimed the King of Trifen.
"It's King Gregory now old man". Said the King with a smirk.
Before the King of Trifen could even process what's going on, King Gregory took out a purple crystal from a small pouch hanging on his waist.
"Let's talk business. Contact the others." Said the King with a radiant smile.

After an hour of discussion the King walked out of the tent with the Prince and Princess who woke up a few minutes ago.
He twisted a ring on his finger and a hologram of a kneeling General Douglas appeared. The King only shook his head at what he saw and said...
"The war is over"
