A man garbed in white fell from the sky.
The man was wearing a white military uniform with black linings and black epaulette paired with a white cape. The white cape was only on the left side of the man and it was hiding his left arm. The man was taller than Marcus and has a huge body build. The most noticeable characteristic of the man was the black eye patch on his right eye and the bulge on his left shoulder. There seems to be two things poking out of his shoulder but it was hidden by the cape.
The man stood with pride and dignity. He was brimming with strength and the pressure coming from him was enough to scare a common man into tears.
The energy that can be felt from him was vigorous, he seems to be in the prime of his life…
But the white hairs on his head and the wrinkles that were present on his face says otherwise. Add to that, the frown on his face makes the wrinkles more visible.
"About time you got here you old goat." Said Marcus with a smile that was not a smile.
Hate could be seen on his eyes. Contrary to his injured body and weakened state, he looks like he has more power right now than when he was fighting with Jericho. Currently he looks like a beast that can't wait to devour his prey when he looks at the old man.
"Fa...ther!" Jericho said with difficulty as he trembled. Fear could be seen on his eyes.
"Hmmp! Do not call me Father you useless waste."
Henry didn't even look at Jericho the whole time and his pitiful state can't seem to move him even one bit.
"You've really hid your fangs well boy! Even I was fooled." Henry said with a calm look. His frown was now gone.
He was slightly surprised to see Marcus here. But when he saw the Black Sun tattoo on his chest. He already figured everything that happened.
"I know you had already taken the badge from that garbage. Hand it over and I will give you a quick death."
Henry said as he held his right hand out waiting for Marcus to hand over the badge he took from Jericho.
"Kuha...hahaha HAHAHA" Marcus laughed out loud as he shook his head.
"You never change do you old man? You still think everything you do or say is absolute."
"You're too late. The badge is gone and Project Daylight has already started! The Union and all your ambition ends tonight!" Marcus said as the tattoo on his left chest, the one that looked like a scale began to glow with an eerie deep violet color.
His lost aura now began to replenish as the wounds on his body regenerated. This was the power of a Generator. They have strong regeneration ability but it requires aura. When he was fighting Jericho he focused all his aura on the shield and sword barely leaving anything for his body. He only used the minimum requirement to enhance his body so that he could dodge Jericho's attacks.
"Hmm Interesting… What kind of Bio Reactor is that on your chest?"
"The kind that makes the ladies go crazy." Marcus answered with a smile.
Henry's eyebrows twitched.
Bio Reactors are small devices that act like batteries. It can store aura from the Crystome. But using Bio Reactor is dangerous because the aura gained from it is full of impurities. Each mutant has different kinds of aura wavelength. They all differ from each other, that's why transferring one's own aura to another that's not a family member is dangerous. It is like blood transfusion if you have an A blood type then you will need an A blood type.
But like how O blood type is universal. The aura gained from the Crystome is the same, only downside to it is that it has impurities.
Marcus now looks a lot better. His left hand and shoulder can now be used and his rib cage is now fixed. But his complexion is pale. For some reason using the tattoo on his left chest drains his vitality.
'A side effect of using Bio Reactor.' Henry mused.
Marcus clenched his hands. His eyes display a sense of urgency and resolution.
He looked at Henry.
"Your life, I will take it!"
BOOM!
Ground caved in as he jumped toward Henry with a ferocious expression.
He sent an axe kick towards his head but Henry deflected it with his forearm.
He backflipped immediately and landed on the ground then sent a side kick at Henry's right side which he assumed was a blindspot.
Henry countered with a kick of his own, their legs meet and *BOOM* it created a shockwave.
Their legs crossed forming an X. Neither of them backed down and put strength on their legs trying to suppress one another.
Both of them seemed to be equal in strength but Marcus was slightly getting pushed back.
He retracted his leg immediately and turned 360 degrees while crouching down then made a leg sweep at Henry.
Henry quickly reacted by jumping backward.
They stared at each other for a while. Marcus was planning what to do next imagining every scenario and everything that can happen. He calculated his winning chance.
'10% huh' He mused but oddly enough it didn't disappoint him.
'Looks like I have to use all my cards' he smiled while thinking. 'I guess this is the end'
On the other hand Henry was also thinking. 'I need to finish this soon and find out where this boy hid the badge, first I'll cut off his limbs then take him to the Union where we can extract information directly from his brain'
This time it was Henry who initiated the attack. He's muscles bulged and his frame grew. He dashed toward Marcus with two times more speed than before.
An overbearing punch was heading straight at Marcus' head.
But before it could hit him Henry went out of focus slowing down his attack
'Wha-'
And then he suddenly felt excruciating pain on his stomach.
UGH!
He looked down and saw a fist with a light blue glow. The glow then disappeared almost immediately, his eyes contracted into a pin size as his danger sense went crazy and then…
*SHLIIK*
A blade glowing in blue passed by his neck almost decapitating him if he didn't manage to evade in time. Gushes of blood spilled everywhere.
Henry's scalp began to itch as he saw another blade this time coming from another angle it's target was his eye.
Swoosh!
Henry used the maximum power on his leg as he kicked the ground and jumped back creating a distance between the two.
It all happened in seconds, good thing he was able to react fast and managed to preserve his life.
A few seconds ago when he attacked Marcus. He saw the youth channeling glowing light blue aura from his body covering his fist. He was in daze for a second 'Wha- How is that possible?!' He thought.
He was surprised at what he saw causing his attack to slow down, Marcus managed to easily evade his punch by tilting his head to the side and then planting his fist in Henry's gut. A gauntlet with spikes on the knuckles made from aura was covering his hand. And when he saw that his surprise attack worked he immediately followed up by forming a sword on his free hand and directly slicing Henry's neck. It was fast and decisive. When he saw that his attack failed he changed his target. This time he formed another sword on the other hand.
But it failed again because Henry backed away almost instantly.
'Pity' he thought. But he knew it wouldn't be that easy to kill Henry. So he thought of another plan.
'I have the element of surprise as long as I use it wisely and timed it right I could fatally wound him or maybe kill him' he thought.
Marcus knew that Henry didn't know he could Manifest aura. The only one here that did was Jericho who was lying a couple of meters away from them thus he exploited this chance. He knew anyone who saw it would be shocked and knowing Henry, he would definitely be stunned.
Henry was now breathing roughly, not because of his near death experience but because of what Marcus' did implies.
There were four small holes in his stomach caused by the spikes from the gauntlet. There was residue aura from the gauntlet so the healing process was slow.
"YOU --!! HOW?! HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE?!"
Henry snarled losing all of his calmness and composure.
He was clutching his neck preventing it from spilling more blood as he regenerated.
'I need to know how he does it. This power! I have to have it!' Greed could be seen from Henry's eyes.
'Taking over the Empire would be easier if I have the method to turn a Generator into a Manifestor'
"Tell me. How did you do it?" Henry asked again but this time he had regained his calmness.
"...."
Marcus just stared at the man and then he said...
"You really wanna know? It's quite simple."
'He's really gonna tell me?' Henry thought as his anticipation grew.
Even Jericho who was a few meters away was all ears. Despite losing all his blood he still clings to dear life. That's how durable a Generator is.
"I did it by doing…"
'What?! What is it?!' Henry was now trembling from excitement.
With utmost seriousness Marcus exclaimed.
"One hundred push-ups! One hundred sit-ups! One hundred squats! Then a Ten kilometer run! Every single day!"
"...."
"...."
