"Heyy...what are you planning to do ?", scheduler whispered.
"Can't you see that I am planning to buy some time", Adhira hissed. She really couldn't bear this guy's stupidity.
The evil ghost walked closely to Adhira and picked her gently. Adhira's heart almost dropped into her hand, due to fear. The evil ghost looked at her carefully and said,"Who are you ?". His tone was both hard and harsh.
Pointing her index finger towards herself, Adhira softly said, "Me...?". The evil ghost nodded his head.
"I don't know", she said sadly. Then immediately she pointed her finger towards the scheduler "But he said my name is Adhira and I am a ghost...Handsome brother, you tell me, Shouldn't I be as pretty as you at least, to become a ghost ?", she scratched her head displaying some confusion.
The evil ghost burst into laughter.... Though his urge to attack the normal ghosts is extremely high, somehow, this little ghost's words made him go back to his original state when he started as a ghost, before turning to be evil.
"Are you scared of me ?"
"No", she horizontally nodded her head.
"Why ? I am an evil ghost...Didn't he tell you ?", he glared at scheduler for not telling her about his identity.
"He said...but since he looks more ugly and stupid,I thought he must be the evil ghost!! You are so handsome and looks intelligent. So, I just ignored his words."
Scheduler: "......."
"What a sweet mouth", the evil ghost mused."I hate lies"
"I didn't lie big brother...If I am scared, I might have asked your religion first", she said giving a thinking expression.
"Religion ??", both evil ghost and scheduler questioned in unison. They didn't know why will ask for religion if she is scared.
"Ohhoo...Big brother !! It's just to scare you away"
"How will you scare me away if you know my religion ?", the evil ghost wondered.
"If you are a hindu, I will chant mantras & pray to God
If you are a christian, I will pray to jesus
If you are a muslim, I will pray to Allah
If you are a Sikh,..................
If you are Zews...................
...................."
Adhira spoke for almost 10 minutes continuously without taking a single breath. Scheduler and evil ghost rolled their eyes in surprise. Even, they never knew that those many religions exists.
"This little girl is definitely interesting", he thought inwardly. To just tease her a bit, he said, "But I am an atheist. Your method doesn't work on me then"
"I don't wanna brag or say anything, but when it comes to being the worst, definitely I am at the top", Adhira cursed inwardly. Originally her intention was to put the evil ghost in words and scare him using the religion God. But look at her fate...even the evil ghost turned out to be an atheist
'Bohoooooooooo.....I don't want to live anymore'
Immediately a sudden realization hit her
'Sorry, I forgot that I already died'
Her face changed multiple expressions while she was thinking. Both the scheduler and the evil ghost stared at without blinking an eye, wondering what she is thinking about.
"True.. I don't know what to do with atheists", she replied depressingly.
The evil ghost chuckled at her innocent expression. He smiled and said, " Remember..don't ever come to this area. It's called as devil's kitchen. All the ghosts here have evil thirst and they possess strong powers to absorb the energy from weak ghosts"
Adhira opened her eyes in surprise. He said 'not to come again'...That means, he is setting them free, isn't it ?
Looking at her question mark expression, he placed her gently on to the floor and turned his gaze towards the scheduler and commanded, "Take her safely to the ghost school..Don't wander anywhere."
Scheduler nodded immediately and started his bike in the next instant. Luckily, the path of light activated and he handed her helmet, signalling to hop on.
Adhira eyes turned moist...she stared at the evil ghost and told him, "Big brother...Thank you !! Who said human beings are kind?? Ghosts are much more kinder.. Remember my name...one day, I will definitely repay your favor". Then she bowed her head in respect and went to sit at the back of the scheduler.
