His Majesty looked at me without any reaction. Have you finally forgotten about me huh your majesty? Do you not care about me anymore? And most of all, Pokey is your daughter as well yet I'm the only one you gave away!? I have so many questions.
"Why are you glaring at me? Do you have no intention of greeting me?" he said in a deep chilling voice.
I forced myself to bow. "Your Majesty" I say gritting my teeth.
"Father! It's almost time for dinner! Can Lenlen eat with us?" Pokey asked happily.
"Lenlen?" His ugliness—I mean Highness said.
"That's my nickname for her, her real name is Valentine!"
Now do you remember me your majesty??
"Sure, she can dine with us." he said casually and left. What was that reaction!?
***
It's dinner time. His Majesty is sitting at the end of the table as the majesty that he is. Meanwhile I sit around the corner of the table near him and Pokey sits across from me. It's like a family dinner.
It was a quiet table. They sure do have a lot of manners. One of it is no talking while chewing which I'm about to break now.
"Yow your majesty" I say with a mouthful of rice.
"Pardon my friend Father, she has a weird way of speaking." Pokey tells your majesty.
"Is there anything you need?" He asked me as he sips his wine.
"Can I stay here for tonight? It's already dark." I say.
He was a little bit shook. What? do you not want me to stay? Do you hate me that much?
"Of course." he said.
".....Thanks your majesty!" I say while faking a smile to show my fake gratitude.
They continued eating. "Hey your majesty, where's the queen?" I asked then shoved a whole scoop of dessert in my mouth. He looks astounded with my question.
"My mother is dead." says Pokey.
I dropped my spoon on the table. "...mother's dead?" I said silently to myself. Tears began to fall down from my eyes. "she's dead!?" I cried.
I can tell they were surprised with my reaction. I too was surprised. How could I cry for a woman I've never met?
"Aahuh ahugh!" I cried loudly.
"It's ok Lenlen! She died when I was born so I didn't really get to meet her... you don't have to feel sad for me." she says.
I tried to stop crying and wiped my tears. I was still sobbing but I managed to talk. "I-I'm sorry...it's just so sad..." I say.
His majesty wiped my tears with a white piece of cloth. "Don't cry." he tells me and I finally stopped.

I told Pokey that I'd sleep beside her tonight and she agreed with me. It was like a slumber party. We talked all night about useless stuffs that is worth laughing about.
"So that's why the elephant married the ant." I explained. "Do you know why the elephant married the ant?"
"Why?" Pokey quietly asked in an obviously tired sleepy voice.
"So that he could squish her and dispose the body easily after taking all their marriage benefits..." I said.
By this time, Pokey was already asleep. So I was the only one awake. I couldn't sleep because I'm wide awake.
I stare at the beautiful ceiling.... just like the good old days when I was a baby.
I couldn't help but think, "what if my father didn't give me away? would I be as close with him as his relationship with Pokey?" , "would I be able to hug my mother goodbye before she died?"
His Majesty's POV:
Elder Makoto is the most famous fortune teller across the land of Clover. Every fortune he has told had always been correct.
One day I was told that my wife will be cursed in the next three days, the only way I could save her is to overthrow her from the Kingdom.
I did not listen, three days later and the prophecy came true. I was the one to blame for it all. I let this happen to my wife all because of my selfishness.
Elder Makoto then told me that my daughter would soon emit a large energy if I continue to keep her by my side, which would eventually lead to her death.
With that, I did not hesitate to send her away. In order to save her, I have to lose her. And I was alone once again.
