Heri sits on a chair in the workspace at home.
His cell phone vibrated, and he picked up a call from Aldy's number.
"Good evening, sir. Is this Rizaldy's father?"
"Yes."
"I'm a police officer, sir. It looks like your son got into trouble at a nightclub, and now we're keeping him in the office."
Harry took a deep breath. "Okay, I'll be right there. Thank you."
With quick steps, he prepared. After contacting his personal driver, Heri walked out.
On the way, Heri looks so calm.
"Police office, huh?" Heri muttered while looking up at the night sky from inside the car. A smile appeared on his face. "I wonder what interesting things you will show me this time."
Heri's expression seemed to expect something that could surprise him.
Unlike a father who worries about his child, he expects Aldy to give him something interesting.
All this time, Aldy believed that Heri was a good acquaintance of his late father and owed him a debt of gratitude. However, Heri felt very relieved because Aldy did not feel suspicious of him and even wanted to be adopted.
Aldy didn't realize that Heri was hiding something from him.
And Heri also doesn't plan to tell Aldy about it soon.
Not for the moment.
Because maybe Aldy will hate him later if he finds out Heri's biggest secret.
After a few minutes of passing in the night traffic, Heri finally arrived in front of the police station.
Before getting out of the car, he put on an expression of a father who was worried about his child.
"Sir Harry?" asked a police officer who seemed to know Heri well.
"Where is my son?"
"Oh, this way, sir." said the policeman leading Heri to the place where Aldy was. Aldy sat next to two people. One was a fat man in a light pink suit, and the other was a man in an expensive shirt. But that person's condition was quite battered.
A policeman who had been with the three of them stood up and took Heri's hand. "What happened to my son?"
"So it's like this," the cop explained everything about Aldy's fight at the nightclub. The nightclub owner contacted the police because of that. And the police arrested Aldy, Mansur, and Bondet.
At first, Bondet wanted to sue Aldy. But Aldy managed to record his conversation with Bondet from the start. Fortunately, their voices were still clearly audible even though they were disturbed by the sound of the EDM music in the club.
About Bondet threatening Aldy's family openly, it sounded quite clear.
However, the fact that Aldy had killed all of Bondet's men, and when the police arrived, Aldy was also beating Bondet out, still couldn't be solved.
Yep.
Aldy literally killed dozens of people in one single night.
"So, how do you want to solve it?"
The police looked at Bondet and Aldy in turn. Then, his gaze returned to Heri. "Because your son has concrete evidence, and I also just happened to receive a report, that this person named Bondet is a fugitive we have been trying to arrest for the past few months for the crime of illegally selling humans to other countries, we can release your son on several conditions. In addition to having to report to the police station for three months, there is also a guarantee fee."
Aldy's eyes widened perfectly, so did Mansur.
Mansur was surprised because his boss turned out to be an illegal slave trader. He had just worked as Bondet's subordinate, but because Bondet was also trying to sue Mansur at the same time, the police assumed that Mansur was not Bondet's subordinate.
But for Aldy, the thing that surprised him the most was that the weak person he could easily defeat was actually a fugitive, who had been chased by the police for the past few months.
Honestly, Aldy regretted having spent his energy beating people as weak and stupid as Bondet.
But on the other hand, Heri, in his heart, felt happy.
Why does Heri even feel happy?
Of course.
Heri wants interesting things from Aldy.
Aldy can beat the fugitives of the police and also think of a smart move by recording their conversations without his opponent noticing.
Not only superior in physical strength, but also the ability to think.
It makes Aldy a frightening figure for anyone who wants to provoke him.
However, the more frightening Aldy is, the more excited Heri becomes.
Although what is shown on Heri's face is the typical worried expression of a father for his son who is in trouble.
Heri still sticks to his acting.
And they finally got out of the police station.
Mansur spread his arms and inhaled as much air as he could. "Woaaaah~ ... I'm relieved that we don't have to go back to prison anymore."
Mansur gave Aldy a fist high. "Then I'll go first." He turned his gaze to Heri. "Thank you, sir. Have a nice day. I mean, night."
Heri smiled before Mansur left.
Aldy sat next to Heri in the back seat. Now, they are on their way back home.
"Sorry, I've made a mistake that could embarrass you."
Heri grabbed Aldy's head and rubbed it gently with his palm. "The important thing is that you're okay, son."
For whatever reason, Aldy feels very grateful to have a father like Heri. Even though he didn't really know that there was something Heri kept secret from him.
Seeing Aldy's expression made Heri feel happy.
This way, Aldy won't suspect him at all.
On the other hand, Mansur thought of Heri along the way. Sipping on his nicotine stick, he walked down the sidewalk under the glare of the streetlight to his house. Even though it was quite far, he just wanted to take a walk to think about something.
"What was his name again? Heri?" Mansur muttered, talking to himself as he kept walking and puffing cigarette smoke from his breath. "I've never heard of that name around here. But why does it feel familiar? Where have I seen that person?"
Mansur shook his head. He couldn't have thought strangely about his friend's father. But, ever since he first looked into Heri's eyes, he had a bad feeling.
It was like staring at the figure of a wolf in sheep's fur.
Maybe his mind was in a mess because he had just lost his job and almost ended up back in prison.
With his head still full of nonsense, Mansur continued walking in the silence of the night.

"Reen? Why haven't you slept yet?" asked Aldy when he found Maureen standing in front of the entrance door. Heri patted Aldy's shoulder and then walked past Maureen.
Maureen was still silent. Aldy did not understand the meaning of Maureen's gaze. Before leaving the house, they still had unresolved misunderstandings.
Will Maureen hate him even more?
Aldy stepped closer to Maureen and passed her just like that.
In his heart, Aldy really wanted to apologize for anything that had annoyed Maureen. However, he thought that he should keep his distance from Maureen for now. Aldy was afraid that Maureen would hate him even more.
Right after Aldy walked past Maureen, Maureen's hands clenched into fists.
"Stupid."
A word that came out of Maureen's mouth made Aldy stop in his tracks. A smile was painted on Aldy's face. "Sorry. You have a stupid brother like me."
Maureen's eyes started to tear up. "You really are."
Aldy continued his steps without turning around, not realizing that Maureen's body was shaking violently. Not because of the cold, but the rumbling in the girl's heart that was getting harder to bear.
Maureen already knew what Aldy was thinking through the diary she had accidentally seen in his wardrobe a moment ago.
Because of that, Maureen now felt guilty.
However, on the one hand, she also doesn't know how to act in front of Aldy. She was frustrated about it.
Maureen was still standing where she was, showing no sign of coming into the house. Her mind was still too muddled.
However,
The thing she didn't expect happened.
A cloth. To be precise, a jacket was wrapped around her body from behind. It was the jacket that Aldy wore before. Aldy put a jacket on Maureen's body from behind, and without a word, he turned back and walked away from Maureen.
Aldy wanted to leave immediately after putting a jacket on Maureen's body.
But, before Aldy had time to walk away, Maureen quickly turned around and wrapped her arms around Aldy's waist. She buried her face in Aldy's back as she continued to hug him very tightly.
Aldy was silent, not knowing what to say.
But one thing he realized.
That maybe Maureen didn't really hate him.
That one thing that made his heavy days lately feel lighter, as if all the burdens that he had been harboring in his mind just disappeared.
Because of a simple, warm hug from his sister, Maureen.
