Chereads / Destined Guardian : Mafia's Adopted Son / Chapter 28 - A Misunderstanding

Chapter 28 - A Misunderstanding

For lunch this time, they only ordered food from a nearby restaurant. And now, the table has been filled with various kinds of seafood.

Aldy crushed the crab shells, took the meat out little by little, and placed it on Maureen's plate.

Shania saw that. Aldy really treats Maureen very sweetly. Of course, it made her jealous. As someone who had confessed her feelings to Aldy, she also had the desire to be treated that sweetly by him.

The more she thought about it, the more Shania felt the pain in her heart.

Last night, when she hugged Aldy's body from behind by the side of the pool, Aldy let go of Shania's embrace and turned around.

Aldy's eyes looked deeply into Shania's eyes. And the words that came out of Aldy's lips were, "Thank you. But, sorry. Right now, I don't have any thoughts of having a relationship with anyone."

Shania's eyelids filled with tears after hearing Aldy's answer.

Aldy rubbed Shania's eyes with his thumb gently, then cupped Shania's chin with his palm. Aldy flashed a warm smile. "You're beautiful, and you have a great personality too. I'm sure that a woman as good as you would get a much better man than me."

Until now, Shania is still thinking about it. In her heart, she was still sure, very sure, that there was no one better than Aldy.

She didn't want to give up her feelings for Aldy. However, the more she looked at Aldy, the more distant she felt from him.

From the bottom of her heart, she wanted to be in Maureen's place, even if for a short time.

Aldy looked at Shania. Aldy smiled kindly, making Shania return Aldy's smile with her sweet smile.

Zico looked at Aldy and Shania alternately a few times, then smiled a wide smile. "Hey, what happened to you two last night? Could it be, you did it while we were all asleep?"

Shania shoked and glared at Zico fiercely. "Don't talk nonsense like that! W-we ... We didn't do anything!"

Elanie noticed it. Shania had never behaved like this before. She became curious about what Elanie and Aldy did last night.

She knew that Elanie was a strong drinker. Maybe her twin was still awake when she couldn't drink anymore and went to her room to sleep.

Wait a minute …

Maybe ...

Elanie brought her face closer to Shania, who was sitting next to her. Shania was confused by Elanie's current attitude. "W-why?"

Elanie gave Shania a serious look.

"Did you really give Aldy your virginity last night?"

Zico's eyes widened perfectly with his mouth wide open. Even the prawn meat he was chewing fell onto his own plate.

Maureen also looked surprised, with her cheeks starting to turn red.

Edwin was the only one being calm here, but he didn't want to be caught acting calm, so he pretended to be surprised too.

Remember Maureen's cheeks were turning red?

Shania's cheeks were redder than Maureen's.

Shania glared at Elanie. "D-don't talk carelessly! I'm still a virgin!"

Shania got up and ran inside. Elanie set her sights on Aldy and smiled meaningfully. "So, did you guys do it on the couch? Or maybe you did it in the pool? How many rounds?"

Aldy took a sip of his drink and put the glass on the table quite hard. He didn't answer and walked into the villa.

Zico patted Maureen's shoulder, who still seemed speechless. Maureen turned to Zico and found Zico giving a thumbs up with a big smile showing off his row of front teeth.

"Chough~ ..." Edwin cleared his throat to break the awkwardness Elanie had made. "Elanie. Did you really need to say that in front of us? Aren't you going to give them both some privacy?"

Elanie and Zico nodded.

Maureen was silent for a moment. She then got up and walked into the villa.

Zico looked at Edwin and flashed an annoying look. "Ed, I think Aldy will soon be your brother-in-law. I'm fucking jealous of you."

"Why are you even jealous of me?" Edwin asked, frowning. "Don't tell me you like Aldy too?"

"Hey, I still like the opposite sex. I mean, having a brother-in-law like Aldy would definitely have a lot of advantages, don't you think?"

"Just cut the fuck out," replied Edwin, who continued to eat, no longer paying attention to Zico's chatter which was getting dizzier.

***

The holidays are finally over. They all returned to their respective homes. After dropping Zico off at his house, Aldy and Maureen returned home.

They arrived home. Maureen got out of the car and walked into the house leaving Aldy who had just picked up their things.

Maureen half ran to Heri and hugged him tightly. "You're home? How was your holiday?"

Maureen smiled widely. "Pleasant."

"Thank goodness. I'm sorry. Next vacation I will definitely make time for you guys."

Heri turned to Aldy who was still busy with all his luggage. Even though he looked troubled, there was no sign of complaining from Aldy's face. Heri smiled at Aldy. "Need some help?"

Aldy just shook his head and continued walking into the house. He climbed the stairs, put Maureen's things in her sister's room, and went to his own room.

After putting things on the floor, Aldy took off his jacket and T-shirt, threw them on the floor, and lay down on the sofa.

Aldy is not usually lazy like this. He usually always arranges his things neatly in their respective places. However, somehow he felt quite tired this time.

His eyes were closed. The image of what had happened in the villa appeared again in his mind. It really made Aldy mentally tired.

Aldy feels lazy to do anything. Even to shoot everyone in the head with his favorite automatic rifle in the game. What exhausted him, even more, was Maureen's changing attitude towards him.

On the way home from the villa, Aldy had tried to explain to Maureen that everything was just a misunderstanding. However, the attitude that Maureen showed remained the same. It was as if Maureen kept her distance from him.

Aldy opened his eyes, staring at the ceiling of his room, which was quite dark because he didn't turn on the lights on purpose.

Aldy took a deep breath. "Does Maureen hate me?"

Aldy smiled as he continued to stare at the ceiling of his room. "It seems, no matter how hard I try, wherever I live, I'm just a troublemaker. In the orphanage, in prison, then in this house."

Aldy was still smiling bitterly, "Is my life really just to trouble other people? Am I really this useless?"

Aldy's vibrating cell phone interrupted his sad thoughts. An unknown number called him. He picked it up without a second thought.

"Hey, demon child! It's me, Mansur!" said the person on the other end of the line.

"Oh, is that you, useless society trash? Why did you call me?"

"Hahaha, your habit of looking down on me has never changed," he replied, making Aldy feel lazy to respond.

"So, what's up? If there's nothing important—"

"Do you have time? Do you want to hang out?"

Aldy turned off the phone, but Mansur called Aldy again.

"Hey, you baboon snot! Appreciate me a little!"

Aldy took a deep breath. "I'm too lazy to do anything. If you want to stab someone's ass hole, just find another victim. I'm just too lazy to beat you up."

"Just come. I'll send you the address. If you don't come in an hour, I'll pray that your neighbor gives birth to a goat," said Mansur without thinking.

"What? Pray? A stupid bastard who worships tomatoes like you can pray too? Wow. I'm sure the world is coming to an end." Aldy replied, still lying on his couch lazily.

"Just come, you little asshole."

Mansur cut off his connection with Aldy. Actually, Aldy doesn't hate Mansur. He was Aldy's favorite punching bag when he was in prison.

That's how they communicate.

Aldy opened the address sent by Mansur with Google Map. The place is not far from his house. But the thing that makes Aldy confused is the location shown.

"Isn't this a nightclub for the rich people? Since when did that scumbag have so much money?"

Out of curiosity, Aldy decided to take a shower and go to that place.
