Chapter 2 - Chapter Two- Through the Window

Friska Kirkson Pov

I am an absolute idiot and I could see that now. I stumbled in the darkness of my room but my scream was silent because the last thing I needed was to wake the other occupants of this house. Something wooden had connected with my shin and while the pain was graphic I just could not scream.

Even if the flesh was hanging from the bone of my leg I would remain silent for the sake of sparing my voluntary sacrifice that would be conducted by my parents. I ambled on in a silent scream for pain, my cellphone vibrating in the pocket of my jeans. Why is it I am very much accident prone?

The Device was supported by my arm the moment it was placed to my ear, my leg crying for permission to leave and go to the hospital. Permission denied my friend, without you I will not be able to move around. Now which one of my many personalities decided it was good to leave the room in semi darkness with so many objects lying around?

"Where are you?" Crissy was not too far from shouting at me. It was clear that I was the last of our little gang to wake up because soon after the phone call with her brother I had fallen asleep. I gazed around like a prisoner who was at his first shot of escape, hopefully I would not blow it.

"Not so loud, I'm daughter of the military remember, you don't know if they may hear you" I hissed and Crissy seemed to find that amusing because she was laughing like a drugged hyena.

"Paranoid much?" She teased as I continued to gaze around like a wild animal. She called it being paranoid while I called it being safe.

I rolled my eyes as I threw my bag over my shoulder only to drop like piece of board when I heard footsteps at my door. My voice was low so the person would not hear me as my clevage was pressed to the cold floor.

"Hold on there is someone at the door, hang up" My instruction was followed flawlessly. I shoved the phone to the pocket of my jeans and the fact that the footsteps were heavy I knew who they belonged to.

Oh god, here comes the part where I don't here the end of it. The door knob began to turn so I ignored the injured leg and hopped into bed after tossing my bag under the bed. I closed my eyes and the door open, the silence was quite unbarring but I had to maintain my composer for the sake of my future kids who would be denied entry into this world would be denied if i was kill tonight by my father.

"Shit, this damn girl always sleeps in the dark" The man hissed and I tried my best not laugh. He was just as accident prone as I was so it was quite clear that I got that from dad.

My father soften my pillow somewhat as he straightened my head. I pretended to shuffle in my sleep, my lips quivering because of my failing nerves but my father must have mistaken that for a smile. Why is it I still had the feeling that this one night would go wrong?

"Goodnight sweetheart" he stated as he kissed my forehead and I remained still until he left the room. Five minutes after he left I got to my knees gently after exiting my warm bed, my backpack being pulled from beneath the bed. I pried my window open as quiet as possibly, the sick leg being paced outdoors first.

Here comes the rough part.

Woof! Woof!

My gaze fell to Bronus who was staring up at me while his little butt moved, his tongue sticking out while my teeth tightened. I closed my window and lowered, my hair behind my ears as I stared at the little ball of trouble. You have got to be kidding me.

"Shoo!" I whisper yelled and for some odd reason I seemed to make the situation worst. He wagged his little tail as his eyes sparkled. If I had some form of snack that I would not need for camp I would throw him one.

Woof! Woof!

"Go away!" I yelled and when the closest window to me opened I stiffened against my locked window. For the love of pity, why Bronus?

Why are you trying to ruin me?

"Why won't you leave those damn pigeons and shut up Bronus! We" My mom yelled and it is likely that I could fall off the roof due to how dizzy I felt. For a woman of the army my mother surely lowered her guard, so Bronus was a noisy dog but she shun him so easily.

Was this the gods sparing me?

~~~~****~~~~
"Thank you for wasting thirty minutes" Crissy hissed the moment I got in the car next o her brother who was around the wheels. He smiled at me and I turned to look at Crissy. Oh come on, they knew how strict my parents.
As long as they took care of my expenses I was still a child in their eyes.
"My dad came in, he always kiss me and the little twat goodnight. When I hung up he was the one approaching my room" I stated but when I saw that there was no other cars around my brows went up.
Wasn't supposed to be the whole crew? Seven persons were missing.
"Where are the others?" I asked and Crissy rolled her eyes at me.
"They are at the location waiting for us" She fumed and my boyfriend shrugged at the girl who did not seem to be her perky self. She seemed like a dried out fish who would snap its teeth at anything just because it was out of zone, this was not my best friend at all.
"Never mind little miss red back there" he teased and a hard hand came in contact with the back of his head. I narrowed my eyes at him, that was quite mean.
"Remind me never to send you to get me anything feminine you jerk" she hissed and he held his stomach.
"So much pain, my stomach is tearing part oh-" I jammed my elbow to his rib in order to prevent him from provoking my best friend. Big or small brothers would always drive their sister insane.
"Drive the car and quit being a jerk" I hissed and my instruction was followed quite clearly. The air was cool but the fear building within me was quite warm.
Curse peer pressure and the life of collage.
