Chereads / Remember? / Chapter 2 - First impression

Chapter 2 - First impression

As I wake up and look around I noticed that I was in a bed room from what looks like an inn. There was also a girl looking at me with a questioning gaze leaning on the wall. She looked like she was seventeen, with brown shoulder  length hair, and ocean blue eyes. Despite her slightly above average face it had a way of calming who ever looks at her.

"So you're awake now? you've been unconscious for a while now. " She said as she stood up with a pleasant smile "Anyway the name is Ren what's yours?"

( I can't remember my name better make one up ... ... let's go with Alex. ) "My name is Alex nice to meet you!"

"memory loss?"

How? was all I could think. I looked at her in the eyes. My body language didn't say anything. *sigh* " You are good at reading people. So can you please tell me what gave me away?"

[Author's note: friendly fact our body language accounts for 55% of our communication, Tone of voice 38%, and words 7%. Source: http://www.bodylanguageexpert.co.uk/communication-what-percentage-body-language.html]

"Secret." She said with a happy smile.

"I'm not teaching you everything just the basics currency and a few other things."

"Thanks." A small smile crossed my face.

" I am not your mother." She said with a serious face.

" I wasn't saying that are you?" ( I don't know why I like teasing her. interesting....)

*face palm* "When did this turn into a terrible comedy skitt?"

"ok ok I'm done." ( I don't want to do it too much. I might turn into the people you want to punch in the face.)

"Good. Our currency is simple. ten copper coins is equal to one silver. Same goes for silver to gold and gold to platinum though it's quite rare so they are considering on something else.  I'll point you to the library later. Can you read?"

"I will find out when I get there. I'll let you know if I can't  read. Anything else I should know?"

" Yes I don't recommend that you leave the town for now. It's gets dangerous at night.  The day is almost over. I'll bring your dinner over then you can finish getting your rest for tomorrow."

Unbeknownst to them somewhere else the cloaked figure was recuperating while plotting the next coarse of action.
