Chereads / The Billionaire's Secret / Chapter 13 - Last Mission

Chapter 13 - Last Mission

Near the outskirts of City A, stood a beautiful but eerie looking mansion in all it's majesty, surrounded by forests and equipped with top notch security technology.

The only people present in the mansion were few maids and butlers, while the master of the mansion was sitting on a chair in the basement.

In front of the master, there was another man on a chair, tied with ropes and had some bruises as well as a bullet wound on his right leg.

The man tied to the chair slowly opened his eyes as consciousness came back to him very slowly.

And there he saw those dreaded eyes of his captor and felt a chill run down his spine. After a while, he remembered what exactly happened with him.....

Two hours ago

In a dark alleyway, a figure can be seen running while panting heavily and cursing from time to time. It was none other than the man who was tied to the chair.

"What the heck! Half hour ago, I was sleeping comfortably in my bed, but now I am running from those scary looking government agents.

Who the heck blew my cover! I need to contact 'L' immediately. Damn! Why is her cell phone unreachable at such a time!"

The man suddenly stopped when he saw that there was no one around him. But he was lost as he couldn't seem to remember ever being in this area of his neighborhood.

It was like a deserted housing area with no one around and only occasional barking of few dogs can be heard from the surroundings.

For a few seconds, the hair on his neck stood up as he was experiencing one of the worst nights of his life as a spy.

He has done many bad things before, and now he thought like it was his Karma catching up with him. Little did he know that something more cruel was waiting for him in the next few hours.

Suddenly, there was a movement from the shadows and out came a person wearing all black, standing like a death god with a customized and suppressed desert eagle in his hand being pointed at his head.

The spy suddenly went into hyper senses mode, as there was a serious red alert ringing in his head to flee right away. But he couldn't move his feet as he stood rooted to the ground due to the thickness of the dark aura of the newly arrived person.

"Who are you? And what do you want?" raising his own weapon at the person in black, the spy enquired.

The person in black wore a facemask hiding his face and only his cold eyes could be seen in the little light coming from the lamp shades on the road.

The man in black did not answer the questions of the spy and simply said, "You don't need to know that. You only need to know, infiltrating this country was the last mission you are ever going to do.

Also, probably the last regret you will ever have before dying."

After announcing his statement, the man in black clothes disappeared into the shadows and the spy couldn't even feel his presence around him.

'It seemed like he disappeared into thin air suddenly.' was the thought in the spy's mind when he felt the persons' presence behind him.

He turned around and was about to shoot the person in his vicinity, when a 'Swoosh' sound came a swift chop of a strong hand landed on his hand holding the weapon.

As soon as his weapon was thrown away due to the impact, he knew that his life was going to be doomed and started running for his life.

'Phew' sound was heard from behind him and a bullet was shot through his right leg, precisely his right thigh and the spy fell down on the ground.

Even though he was a well trained espionage specialist, he was still a human being. He tried his level best to keep himself sane but couldn't. That was how powerful the vibes the person attacking him was emitting.

He knew that the person in front of him walking leisurely was not any ordinary wannabe soldier. He was truly merciless and ruthless, highly trained combat expert.

Now, his only chance was suicide. he had a cyanide pill inside his teeth which he was about to bite off when he heard the person in front of him speak.

"I wouldn't do that if I were you. Mr. Brad. Does the name Jill sound familiar to you?" said the man while smirking dangerously.

The spy's face turned pale and his body started shivering from fright as soon as he heard the name of his little brother. But he calmed down and showed nonchalance.

The man in black was none other than Mark Sebastian, the owner of the mansion on the outskirt. Mark knew he would try to act nonchalant but he confirmed his suspicions when the spy, Mr. Brad didn't chew the cyanide pill after hearing the name of his little brother.

Mark knew he was being cruel by dragging innocent people, but he had no other choice, to keep everything in his control, he had to dirty his hands a little.

The look in the Brad's eyes became fierce as he clenched his teeth and said, "You! What do you want?" 'How the hell does he know these things?'

"Easy. Come with me quietly." said Mark.

Brad nodded but his mind had already started to think of the ways to kill the man in front of him.

As soon as Mark was in his attacking range, he jumped up with a dagger in his hand, aimed at his opponent's neck.

But to his dismay, Mark avoided the attack and punched him on the right side of his lungs, which was accompanied by ribs getting cracked, making Brad grip on the dagger to loosen and it fell down.

Brad clutched his chest as an unbearable pain shot through his ribs and he fell down on his knees.

"You shouldn't have done that." whispered Mark as he held Brad by his hair and gave him two more powerful punches on his face, following which Brad fell unconscious due to the impact.

Mark took out his cell phone and saw the message by Jake that the lady in the club got away without any trace.

Mark sighed and ordered his friend to fall back as he has got another one of their lackeys in his hands.

Back to the mansion....

Brad was glaring at Mark's handsome face in front of him as soon as his mind was cleared. He couldn't fathom the consequences of being captured by this man.

Mark just smiled a little which didn't reach his eyes but it sent chill down Brad's spine.

Now, he truly believed that coming to this country was truly his last mission as a spy.
