Yui looked around. She thought she died again but the crushing feeling was telling her she's still alive. Yui saw Hirotsu hugging her. They were no longer near that hunted house but in a big hall. Yui tried to forcefully move away but Hirotsu tightened his hug. She was able to look around a little but didn't have time to look at her new kidnapper that her head was buried in his chest.
Hirotsu hugged Yui tightly and said in a cute voice. "Yuzumi! l missed you sooo much! Remember? It's me, you're lovely Hiro!" Yui shuddered and was freaking out. She wondered why her luck with people was so bad: Psycho mage that never introduced himself. Burned her and almost kidnaped her. Weird long eared human(Kidnapper #1) who treats her like a slave. Finally this guy who seems to have hit his head(Kidnapper #2).
Only the big red wolf that followed her commands seemed normal. No. Now that Yui thought about the poor Ares her heart ached and was missing such a loyal wolf. Her free food fetcher... If she fought... Tried to negotiate with the mage so that he would leave it to protect her. Yui could only lament herself on her bad choice.
"Yuzumi? Yuzumiiiii?" The man stopped hugging Yui and looked worriedly. Yui was dazed. Hirotsu looked like a diabolic angel with white smooth hair and red snake eyes. Was it fluffier than her fur? Yui wondered. She got lost in his eyes.
Resolving a mystery, Hirotsu eyes light up. "Right, right. Wolfs can't talk even though... I expected more from you..." His face was full of disappointment. "O-Of course I can!" For some reason, Yui felt more insulted than she should have been and couldn't help but talk to the man.
Hirotsu smiled lovely at Yui. "So you were only testing me. I knew you were Yuzumi. No one else but my Yuzumi has that much magical power. Your eyes are the proof for that but..." His face was so close that both of their noses touched. "E-Eh?" Hirotsu blushed. He jumped in to hug Yui again. "I love you toooo!"
'Who am l? What am l? Who is this crazy guy? why am I even doing here...' Yui didn't care if Hirotsu heard what she said in her mind and he did hear but was still too happy to react. Minutes after being tortured with hugs and kisses on her head, Hirotsu calmed down. Yui looked drained of all her life force. Just blowing on her would lead to the finishing blow.
Hirotsu cleared his throat and became serious."As l said: your true name is Yuzumi but me and... some... other bugs were calling you Yui. I'm Hirotsu. You called me Hiro. You gave me this name and it just so happened that in this life I have the same name as you gave me. I'm your most trusty and loved servant!" He said the last words with pride.
Yui stared at him intensely. She really liked his snake eyes and had this feeling in her heart that she couldn't put her paw on what it was. Finally, she decided that he was more crazy than she thought. Yui slowly backed away. Hirotsu, seeing her slow movement, stopped having his proud smile and showed a panicked expression."W-Wait... Don't move!"
The white haired man couldn't finish talking that Yui ran for her life. "Noooo!" Yui didn't even have time to stretch her legs that she was already caught. "I didn't finish! You are in danger. I know you are strong but all those people that surround you wish to kill you and I have to protect you. I would never hurt the person I love... You can only count on me. Even if I die I won't let them touch you." Yui was dazed again. Even if he showed that great speed, he seemed harmless. 'Lies. How can a hum-' "Aw. Yuzumi. That hurt. How can you say that to me, your lovely snake. Aren't my scales and eyes proof enough? If I transform, will you believe me? You were the one who saved my life and made me become this strong" Hirotsu was having a dejected look.
Yui gave him a sharp glare and Hirotsu shivered then smiled. Even though she gave that glare, she was unconsciously beginning to trust him. She felt that something was wrong but at the same time she felt that she should stay with him. She was confused and angry at herself at the same time. She was going crazy. "If you lie and can't even transform into a snake, I'll eat you for dinner. I'm hungry!"
Even with the threat, Hirotsu's eyes shined brightly. Yui saw his lips move but no sound came out. In the next second, some mist surrounded him without letting Yui see even the tip of his hair. After the mist dispatched, a white snake with shiny red eyes looked back at Yui. It was way bigger than her. Yui was wondering if she could become as big as him if she wouldn't have died. Hirotsu was at least twice as big as Ares. Yui felt small and annoyed. She showed her teeth to the white snake and the snake hissed cutelly at her. Yui looked away from it, still annoyed for him telling the truth. A saddened look flashed in the snake's eyes and he wanted to give her a hug in his snake form.
The poor snake's head was smashed hard by Yui's hand. It made the snake tearfully back off. While he turned back in his human-like form he said in a sad voice: "Yui, you're always so rough with me!" He was holding his forehead and pouting. "Why must you always slap me when I come to give you a hug."
'Cause you seem ready to crush me with all your might.' Hirotsu giggled which made Yui reimagine how it would feel to be crushed and she started missing her snake appearance. Yui was still annoyed at him but decided to listen to more of his 'real' story. "If you were such a good servant why don't I remember you?"
Hirotsu put his hand on his chest. "I know I failed you. I tried so hard fighting against all those treaters, trying to protect you but who would have known that your right hand would also betray and... kill you!" A whisper in her head was telling Yui that she should trust him and that what he says is the truth but heart was telling her to stop listening to him. Hirotsu saw her complicated look and he continued: "Then, thanks to me, you could be reborn as a snake but you couldn't use your powers well and... I couldn't find you. I searched you everywhere but that damn Blaze interfered and you appeared in this place. Then that mage interfered again when I was about to find you, he killed you mercilessly. Plus all this time you never remembered the time you passed with me."
The more Hirotsu talked, the more Yui believed him. Plus the part about that mage that killed her was so close to the real way she died that only a small string was stopping her from blinding trusting him as her past servant. "That mage...does he use blue flames?"
Hirotsu's eyes had a strange light in them. "Yes~ The strongest mage who can use blue flames. He is the one and true enemy. When I reached your side after that fire dome disappeared, I could only pray for your safe resurrection... Oh don't worry I killed those humans and badly damaged the rest. Even that mage." He winked. "Aren't I the most loyal servant dear master?" Yui replied in a whisper: 'Yes...' Something broke in her mind.
