I walked out and went into the woods. I went back to the river. What was Manes getting at with Avalon. I am pretty sure Avalon is extremely stupid. I sigh and see tracks. I smirk and follow them.
I walk for about 7 miles. I forgot how large these woods are. I could smell roasted meat. I knew I was close to their base. I follow the scent and find their camp. I hide in the trees. People were walking around talking. Not even on patrol. I then see Avalon. I go to him and walk up to him. He sees me and smiles. He said, "Who are you?"
I said, "That is not important. The better question is, why are you with them?"
I motion to the camp. He said, "They saved me. It is the least I could do."
I raised an eyebrow and said, "You have never spent a night out in the woods have you?"
He shakes his head and said, "But they said it is not scary."
I chuckled and said, "Yeah. Monsters who want to kill you is not scary. I can take you back home."
A voice called out, "Prince Avalon."
A male walked up. I clenched my fists in anger. He was a dirty blonde haired boy with teal blue eyes. He had strong cheekbones and freckles all along the bridge of his nose and his cheeks. He said, "Who is this Avalon?"
Avalon said, "I do not know. What is your name sir?"
I sigh and said, "I am here to return Avalon. So you may leave Prince Zeid."
He was confused. Avalon stopped dead He said, "Wait. As in Prince Zeid from Manes?"
Zeid looked confused. He said, "I think you have mistaken me for someone else."
I grabbed his wrist and pulled his sleeve up. It showed Manes symbol. A sword and a shield. Avalon said, "You lied to me."
Zied laughed. He took his wrist out of my hand and said, "You do not know what you just did boy."
He pulls out a gun. He fired at me and I pulled out my dagger and cut the bullet. I said, "And same for you. I know all about you Zeid. But you know nothing of me."
I grab Avalons hand and I pull him into the woods. We run as Zeid screamed, "He is running away with Avalon. Go and get them!"
We ran and I could hear soldiers coming. The sun was starting to set. They are not going to go far from the camp. They do not know anything about this forest. We made it about 4 miles before Avalon said, "Can we slow down? I am tired and they are no longer chasing us."
I sighed and we stopped. I release his hand. I said, "We need to get you back to the castle."
He yawned and said, "Can we take a sleep break?"
I said, "Do you want to die?"
He shook his head no. He said, "I am sorry for being so sleepy. I have not slept in a day."
I sigh and said, " I can carry you. Hop on my back. Just do not be weird about it."
He nodded and hopped on. I have no clue why he is trusting me this much. I must seem like a kidnapper or something. And he does not even know me. I wrap my hands around his inner thigh. It seemed more appropriate for his inner thigh than his ass.
I noticed I still had my backpack on. I said, "Is my backpack a problem?"
He nodded and said, "Yeah. It is uncomfortable."
I set him down and said, "I got an idea. Just please do not make this weird."
He nodded. His eyes half lidded. I could tell he was extremely sleepy. I picked him up and held him like a baby. He wrapped his arms around my back and hooked his legs around my waist. He then rested his head on the crook of my hooded neck. I began to walk while carrying him.
I knew if I made him walk, it would slow us down by to much. I do not know how well he actually know these woods. Or what is inside them. I finish walking to the castle. I make it and see the guards. I walk up to them. One said, "We will take him to his room."
The guard then tried to get him off of me. His grip tightened and he growled. I said, "I got it. Just tell me where to go."
The guard said, "I will escort you."
Woodia comes running out and said, "He is back!"
She then notices he is alseep. She then said in a quieter voice, "I will escort her."
She motioned for me to follow her. I do as she motioned and we walk together. We enter and she said, "I a so relieved to see him. So much has happened in the short time he has been gone."
I nodded and said, "Yeah. Also, is he like this with everyone?"
She said, "I do not know. He is usually hanging out with the other princes when they get together for the weekends. Or off on a quest."
I said, "Do you think he is able to growl at someone?"
She looked at with a confused look. She said, "Weird question. But I do not think so. He is to nice to be able to do that."
I said, "Well you are wrong. He growled earlier when the guard tried to take him."
She said, "I am honestly shocked at how fast you get people to like you."
I said, "Same. Apparently saving someone's life is the way to do it."
Woodia laughs.
