Chapter 19 - Waking up new

It was the middle of the night, the Girls and Vella were sleeping quietly on the bed in the throne room. Their motionless bodies were tired, They had just experienced something they would soon want more of. Mike put his clothes on and walked around the Throne Room collecting things. Whatever was laying around the altar was instantly stashed away.

Mike had intended on collecting all the things he saw before all of this had begun. He was thrilled that his storage ring hadn't been destroyed during the transformation. Once all the loot had been collected again, he made his way out of the tunnel. There were uses for the space below but he wouldn't risk leaving everything to chance. His new form, his new attitude and life, everything could change in an instant.

The light at the end of the tunnel was still visible, albeit extremely far. Mike placed his hand on the wall and channeled the light spell directly into it. He wanted gauge the difference in power between the light spell that he had cast when he first discovered the tunnel and now. The rush of light that left his hand nearly blinded him, Mike looked at his hand print and it was like staring at the sun for too long, he saw spots for a moment.

The Tunnel flooded with a bright white.

With a light on, Mike could see the detailed work that was painted on the walls of the tunnel. What hadn't rotted off with time was easily described as some of the best artwork Mike had ever seen. Even the work on Earth didn't have that sort of depth. Pictures that put high definition to shame, they were almost lifelike.

The Wall told the stories of the Titans, Mike could feel the memories. He could remember writing each portion as if it were himself doing the work. To him, it was all very strange and each experience was new. Mike took his time to walk down the tunnel, there wasn't any hurry. The girls had managed for 5 months without him and he was curious about what to expect when he left them alone.

"Lets see what mess I have to deal with." Mike was absolutely certain that ruin was a possibility, he never imagined what he saw when he emerged from the hole.

The backyard had been redone, a heavy door laid over the tunnel entry to block its view from the air. Mike could see a lot of changes had happened to the buildings around him. The most obvious sign was that every single house was decorated in stars. Mike jumped off the ladder and noticed that he went much further than he projected it would be.

"Strange." Mike jumped in place with slightly more force and cleared five feet.

Landing, Mike started to kneel again and pushed off with all his might. Leaping into the air was a lot different than flying a Dragoon. The Dragoons could at least maneuver somewhat, Mike was like a tossed stone. On his landing, his foot stuck into a roof tile and Mike spilled onto the street below.

The fall was about 20 feet and Mike couldn't even feel the impact.

"Okay.. that should have hurt at least some." Mike pulled out a knife and pricked his finger.

He bled, but the wound soon closed up. Mike was bursting with energy that wanted somewhere to go, when every movement he gained a greater understanding of his new found body and power.

Mike leapt back atop the Casino Roof and stared at the City. The surroundings had changed, the port had gotten much larger and the shape of the city. When mike noticed the pointy edges of the castle gate, he knew something big had happened. The City Lord was a fool, but he never really showed interest in Mike's changes to the City when they arrived. Mike had disappeared right after he came, but the Casino kept booming and buying whatever it could lay its hands on.

The rest of the Dragoons arrived with a simple whistle, they were scattered around the perimeter of the walls, but they knew that whistle. No one on the planet made quite the same noise, when they arrived the dragoons pounced on Mike like a pack of long lost puppies. Mike was fortunate enough to be on the ground, If they had landed on the roof it could have caused problems that Mike really didn't want to deal with at the time.

Mounting the lead Dragoon, Mike flew into the air on its back. When he reached a few hundred feet, the outline of the city and port made a clear shape of a Star. The Casino, which hadn't moved at all was now mostly in the center of the city. In a matter of five months, the girls had done so much that Mike was left speechless. 'They must have been working constantly..'

Mike knew the girls would be asleep, but he had been asleep for months. Mike flew the Squadron of Dragoons into the night sky and toward the Jungle in the North.

Mike motioned for the Dragoons to lay low and follow him. He really wanted to test his skills, pressing his fingers into the soil he could feel the animals in the surroundings with his spiritual sense. Mike didn't need a weapon, what he needed was a target. Mike looked for the largest predator he could find in the area, a Grealen.

According to Mike's books, Grealens were Boar like pack animals with spikes on their tails. Usually they kept to the low laying areas, so Mike headed for the depressions that led into valleys. The search really didn't take all that long, Grealens were notorious for being messy. When Mike spotted a pile of bones from random animals he stopped to loot them all before he saw the Grealen eyeing Mike like a fresh snack that had just delivered itself.

The Grealen lunged toward Mike, its speed wasn't bad but it had never met someone like the man in front of it. As the Grealen passed Mike's left side, it turned to swipe its tail into his abdomen but instead it was caught it. The squeal from the Grealen filled the surrounding trees and spaces but no matter how badly it flexed its tail, it couldn't free its tail from Mikes grasp.

"You're not getting away, I hope you taste good." Mike opened his mouth and bore fangs. Mike didn't have fangs, he stopped to touch his tooth with his free hand and the Grealen turned to bite at Mike instead. Without any further thinking, Mike bit down and tore the neck from the still breathing creature and put it into his storage. The feeling was invigorating but Mike was covered in blood.

Casting a Cleaning spell on himself, he watched the dust slide off his pants and even his boots shined like new again.

"Dayum!" Mike was happy with the results, He saw what happened earlier but thought it was just him over casting.

"I gotta know." Mike pulled out his dabs and took a hit. The torch like finger that he had worked on seemed more like an acetylene torch now, its heat was intense but Mike couldn't feel a thing from his fingertip.

Exhaling he felt relaxed and calm, Mike put the extract away and wondered what his plant was looking like. The hours of the day were still pretty long compared to earth, but the Winter was definitely coming through soon. When mike finally got to the spot in the backyard where the plant was he was doubled over with joy.

The plant was close to flowering but Mike had a much better Idea and scooped the plant up to carry it into the Tunnel. Mike was going to turn the throne room into a Mother Plant room. Since it was underground, there would be no problems with outside light sources.

They could just leave the light on all the time, and the plants would only get bigger. Because the lighting was from a Magical source, it disobeyed the laws of physics. The light could easily penetrate the canopies of the large plants without killing the underneath or roasting it. Mike had run into many issues like that on earth with varied forms of lighting. In the end, artificial light was always less desirable than the actual Sun.

Mike really wished he had a Lumen gauge, but it didn't matter. If he failed, that would be okay as well. The plant brought its aroma into the Throne Room, its scent began to linger everywhere. The sweet, charismatic tastes wafted into the nostrils like a soft song of peace.

The soil he had brought along wasn't very much, Mike went to grab more of the soil from outside the city walls near the forest. He really didn't want to bring bugs or parasites into the grow so he cast the clean spell on the dirt directly before he put each scoop into the ring.

The zone around the Altar was a perfect place to put the plants, Mike didn't need a many of them. The walls inside the throne room extended to nearly a hundred feet height. Mike planted seeds in a row around the Alter and Mike had always been a bit of a clean freak, when he saw the changes he had just completed Mike cast the cleanup spell again. The Throne room began to sparkle and Mike thought maybe he had gone a bit overboard.

The broken roots that had given him power were still green and held fluids. Mike wondered what he could use them for, if it contained any of the Titan Source he would definitely have to consider them as precious. Mike stored everything he could find and then walked to the alter again.

Placing both hands on the Alter and pumping some spiritual sense into them, Mike could feel that there was something buried underneath.

He didn't want to disrupt the girls rest so Mike let it go for the night. He was impressed with their commitment to continuing his vision while he was indisposed. The Girls had proven themselves capable and that's exactly what Mike liked the most about them. Their drive toward being self sufficient had never made Mike feel anything but compassion and trust toward them after they came into his care.

"Tomorrow we have a lot to discuss" Mike kissed the girls on the cheeks while they slept before he laid down beside them. As if they were waiting, the troop turned toward him and embraced him in their sleep.

Mike laughed inside, closed his eyes and waited for dawn.

He woke up to the feeling of someone fondling him, when he looked it wasn't a single hand or face caressing his body. 'Seems like my charm leaks out while I sleep.' The girls were fiddling beneath the sheets.

'Ahem...' Mike felt himself grow stiff, [Omitted 481 words]

Exiting the Throne room took much effort. Vella led the way while she explained what had happened over the few months.

"You did what?" Mike was astonished.

"Yes, He tried to kill some of the staff in the Casino for talking, can you believe that?" Vella crossed her arms, prepared to get an earful and fill of dread.

"Oh well." Mike dismissed it.

Vella wasn't expecting the reaction, she expected Mike to have more questions but they didn't come.

"I like what you've all done to the place, So... cool question, Do we own the Castle?" Mike asked but Vella was more than happy to respond.

"That Little Shit' actually thought he could take from Me and the Girls.. so yeah! The Castle is Ours." Vella claimed the Castle for the Poocha Troop and herself but Really she just wanted to stick it to the City Lord.

"This is our City." Rissa told Mike with a snappy tone, it was nice to see her fiery core personality finally exposed.

"Lonestar City is Ours" Mona was not interested in watching people take from her any longer, shouting out she looked at her sisters.

"Yea, Its ours!" March and Jodi called out.

"Mhmm," Cara couldn't help but bounce her tits while agreeing.

One by one the girls nodded and spoke. They were all in agreement, even the guards to the city had taken part in the change of leadership.

The Lone Star's Casino owned the City, the Castle and the Port..
