Breaking a new dawn, the sun's rays strike the cold and hard surface of the Earth crushing the darkness of the night to bring upon the light of day. In a fairly large and popular Oriental city, a young teenage girl with jet black hair wearing a short-striped skirt, black thigh highs, a white blouse and a dark vest can be seen strolling along the side of the road, many others wearing the same attire were present around the region.
"HEEEEY MIYUKIII WAIT FOR MEEE" - Unknown
The girl turns around and perceives her best and only friend, a flashy, light brown skinned girl named Haru Senshoku, running and waving towards her.
"Did you run all the way here from your house? You look dog tired" – Miyuki, in a monotone voice
"You know I'm not used to running so much and my bike broke down. I couldn't do anything about it." – Haru
"Well that's unfortunate. Don't fall behind, we do not want to be late today, remember what the teacher said?" – Miyuki
"Yeah, yeah today's lesson will be on the term test" – Haru
The girls continue to make their way to school.
"Hey Miyuki" - Haru, in a lower tone
"Yeah?" – Miyuki
"...Remember the first time we met?" – Haru
"Of course, how could I forget those epic dance moves you were doing at that fountain" – Miyuki, laughingly
*Haru blushes*
"I was just a kid y'know" – Haru
"Yeah, a very dense kid" – Miyuki
Haru neck chops Miyuki
"AHH OUCH!! That hurt!" – Miyuki
"That's what you get!" - Haru, angrily
*Haru pouts*
"Anyways, you were crouching down and snivelling whilst clasping that dead cat's body" – Haru
"HIS NAME WAS TERU OKAYY" – Miyuki, angrily
"Geez... calm down. I didn't know you were still so sensitive about that… it's been so long" – Haru
"He was my only friend up till then..." – Miyuki, in a sorrowful voice
"…" – Haru
"Then, A wacky kid with scruffy hair and a bemused face appeared out of nowhere ." – Miyuki
"STOP IT! YOU CAN BE SO RUDE SOMETIMES" – Haru
*Miyuki chuckles*
Miyuki whispers under her breath "You know... you really helped me back then… forcing me to bury Teru and taking me around the park..."
*Haru smiles*
"Heh… no need to thank m- "– Haru
The girls were abruptly interrupted by a towering figure approaching their way. It was obviously not human with that physique. From their collective knowledge they have gained these past years, the girls deduced that it had to be a bipedal reptilian nicknamed, The Myrmidon.
Since all creatures had been given human rights after the treaty, it seems to be wearing a detective's garments coupled with the hat and vest. Even though the girls were frozen in place, with surprised faces, The Myrmidon remained unmoved, striding along the sidewalk, completely ignoring the adolescents. The girls soon regained their senses and eventually continued on their way.
"Scary" – Haru whispered
"Yeah… no kidding' – Miyuki
The girls eventually reach the school gate and Haru was soon cooed over by her other friends and since Miyuki had always been distant, Haru departs alone with a faint frown. Miyuki, now unattended, takes on a sober face. Heading towards the school stairs, Miyuki crosses paths with a certain boy with irregularly long and colourful hair, and eyes as dead as a Dodo.
Miyuki slows down in her tracks to scowl. She knew this boy. As did everyone else who had been in school for the past couple of years. His name was Takeru Hayano, someone made known by his uncompassionate attitude and frightening tendencies. He was the type of guy who would leave you for dead if anything ever felled you... or at least that's what the rumours said. Miyuki, staying in character, straightened herself and kept going on her way.
(Miyuki mutters to herself) "I was always the type to stay away from groups of people. Along with that and my quiet attitude, I was never able to grow closer to anyone else apart from Haru..."
The girl paves forward towards her classroom.
After that small encounter, Takeru made his way to the rooftop where he dropped lazily on a bench. It was the only place where he could find quietness and peace of mind. Suddenly, in the distance a figure could be seen jumping from rooftop to rooftop covering great distances with ease. Takeru gazed intensely at it but no idea came to his mind as to what it could be. Perhaps if it were to come closer…
