Through the last month, Tsuna had trained Shoichi for almost a month; due to this, he had increase most of his physical stats to C+ ranks, which made Shoichi's his overall rank to C since Shoichi was already smart and the only reason his overall stat was D because of his physical stats where all at E- to E+ rank. Tsuna had also taught Shoichi about Dying will flames as Tsuna showed him his Sky, Storm, Rain, Mist Flames, which Tsuna had ranked up his Mist and Rain flames to (4) rank and his Storm flame into (5) rank.
Shoichi's the first flame Shoichi unlocked was his original Sun flames. At Shoichi was surprised that the dying would flame as he didn't have supernatural power as they had existed, but after a while, he got used to the dying will flame and was intrigued by it and wanted to know more about it. Tsuna initially bought 2 Average rings in the system, which cost him 100 points, but unlike from the anime where weak rings break after few uses, these rings wouldn't break, but it greatly limits the flame's powers.
And he gave them to Shoichi to be able to use his flames. Shoichi initially asked Tsuna why he didn't need the rings, but Tsuna explained he had also once used one back then, but as he got better control of the flames, he was then slowly able to use the flames even without the rings.' And she was also shocked that Tsuna had given someone like Shoichi a ring, which was extremely rare in the mafia world, and only some of the top mafia families or richest people in the world were able to own that kind of ring. Even Kyou's own family had small amounts of it.

After she summoned the flame, Kyou returned to her cold attitude but with an arrogant look as she thought she had the most dying will flames as she only saw Tsuna using his Sky flame.
Shoichi was shocked that Takeya and Ryohei were able to summon the flames much earlier. It took him a week before he actually managed to unlock his sun flames even with the tips Tsuna gave him,m and was a bit disheartened that It took him a long time before unlocking his flames.
Tsuna saw Shoichi disheartened face and reassured him that he is still more experienced in controlling the flames even if he took longer. As Shoichi heard this, he felt confident again and decided to train more to stay ahead of them as he knew Tsuna would probably make them join him in his current training regimen, which was brutal and difficult.
