I push the button and closed my eyes. And... I'm not... Dead? I slowly open my eyes and... I'm hovering?
"Oh good" Dc. Claude chimed in. "You figured it out."
"Figured what out?" I asked in shock.
"You know for not knowing what just happened you're rather calm." commented Dc. Claude. "It's and anti gravity device, with lot's of perks. You choose well for gear."
"It would've also helped if you told me about it!" I replied with a bit of irritation since I'm still recovering from shock.
"Yeah... But where is the fun in that?" He replied. And I could practically hear him smiling. And the smile reached across his face. From one ear to the other. Which really reminded me of my teammates. Or teammate. Chaos. But he's not important right now.
"How are my teammates?" I ask. My attention on them now.
"Theeeeyyyyy'rrrreeeee fffffiiiiiiinnnnnneeeeeeeeee." Dc. Claude replied. "But right now you have to take care of yourself"
"What do you..." I started but then I realized my surroundings. I was surrounded by... tigers? "Where am I exactly?!" shouted at Dc. Claude.
"Somewhere in the Amazon?" Dc. Claude replied.
"Why are my teammates?!" I was getting really uneasy now.
"Not in the Amazon." he replied with little concern in his voice. "Thing is you're the only one that can make it to the enemies. And this goes against protocols. But... I give a choice."
"What is it?" I replied while hatching the tigers open they're mouthes with a small drooled going down there checks as they licked they're teeth. With hunger in they're eyes.
"Well... we can follow protocol and have come back to base..." he began. "Or... you can try to pule the mission off. And have little chance with getting away with the info."
"And why are you giving me the second choice?" I asked.
"Because..." in that moment Dc. Claude was very serious as he said the next words. "Because. I'm. Bored." I mentally face palmed myself. Oh brother.
"So how am I supposed to get down?" I said ignoring his answer from before.
"Same way you turned it on." he said in a dry voice.
"Ah, well THAT'S useful" I replied with a high level of sarcasm in my voice.
"I know, right?!" he replied with a bit enthusiasm. "Well I'm bored. See ya."
"Wai-!" and just like that he was gone. Again. Well alright. I know that there are tigers that want my flesh, that I can turn my gloves on and off for gravity around me, and I have a hat that changes my appearance.
All of a sudden one of the tigers jump at me. I'm out of its range. For now. Then my 404 popped up again. And I see the face again. I know I wasn't imagining it! Before I could continue my thought's the face shouted: "Behind you!"
I spun around and see a tiger coming straight at me.
