The other judges TJ and Lienna gave their evaluation until it finally came to Lai Zhiqiang. Lai Zhiqiang had been relatively quiet throughout the entire performance.
Lai Zhiqiang was well known for his bad temper so everyone was waiting for a due set down. Since Lai Zhiqiang hadn't taken it easy with anyone during the audition.
"Congratulations Meng Zhou you succeeded in turning my song into the trash, you're talented."
Meng Zhou Left the stage and the next contestants were called up. The audition continued until it came to Liu Qiao Qiao's turn. None of the contestants before her had cut.
When her number was called, Liu Qiao Qiao climbed up the stage and introduced herself.
"Greeting judges, I'm number 87, Liu Qiao Qiao. I will be singing Rain falls in winter by Any."
Liu Qiao Qiao took a step back and began to sing
"I don't want to be alone, on the cold winter day. I feel very lonely, hiding in my ice prison..."
The queen of soul music, Amy was a very vocal powerhouse. As such her songs were very difficult to sing, even seasoned musicians had problems singing her music.
Everyone present had been surprised by her choice of an audition song, that was until Liu Qiao Qiao began to sing.
His voice was refreshing and unique. Liu Qiao Qiao wasn't the first contestant to audition with Amy's music but she was the only contestant to successfully sing the music without making the mistake of mimicking Amy's style.
After the end of her performance, Tj began his evaluation.
"That was one of the best performances of the day. I like that you didn't try to mimic Amy's style, instead, you made the song your own. Your voice is also very unique, It's very soulful at clean. I enjoyed your performance, You have my vote."
The other judges gave their evaluation of her performance. Their evaluation was similar, She had been able to get the votes of the three judges. Finally, it was Lai Zhiqiang's turn.
"It was a really good idea of choosing 'Rainfalls in winter' for your audition song. You have a very wide vocal range, so your voice can carry the song very.
"It was a very safe choice but while your vocals were on par, you failed to understand the spirit of the song. Which made the song come out flat.
"If you are going to be singing a classic like Rainfalls in winter, take out time to truly understand the song. Not just blindly singing the lyrics, I would like to see an improvement when next you perform. You have my vote" Lai Zhiqiang.
Liu Qiao Qiao got all four judges' votes so she advanced to the next stage. Liu Qiao Qiao got down from the stage with the invitation in her hands and went back home.
That night the loss of the 30 contestants advancing to the next stage was released. Liu Qiao Qiao's performance left everyone surprised.
Her appearance in the competition was a huge surprise especially to the Netizens who doubted her talent.

Now that the open audition was over to get the competition began properly. The next step in the competition was scheduled to hold in three days.
This te unlike the open audition, the contestants would be going against each other. A small draw was conducted to decide the pairing.

Qin Yanyu was a very talented musician with really strong vocals, so Liu Qiao Qiao and Qin Yanyu were very well matched.

On the day of the elimination, Liu Qiao Qiao arrived at the venue for the competition. Liu Qiao Qiao like other contestants changed into her costume a light blue ball gown.
She had already met QinYanyu a few times during rehearsal, Qin Yanyu was very focused and like Liu Qiao Qiao kept to herself.
They exchanged brief greetings as they both stood backstage watching other performances while waiting for their turn.
Liu Qiao Qiao won the first draw so she performed first. She walked onto the stage and stood at the center of the stage.
"Hello judges, I will be performing Limelight by Shen Fei'er"
Liu Qiao Qiao had chosen the song with Lai Zhiqiang's previous complaint in mind. Shen Fei'er was an artist known for her fast, upbeat songs. Shen Fei'er preferred genre was pop music.
To save time the producers had arranged for only two judges to give an evaluation.
After her performance ended The first judge to give an evaluation was Wu Tong.
"That was a Wonderful performance from you. It was a little different from your audition song, but you still made it work. You made quite an improvement in your breathing. You have my vote."
Next up was Lai Zhiqiang, the evaluation was going on a clockwise Director, Lai Zhiqiang was next after Wu Tong.
"I guess you picked faster music to make it seem like you tried something different when we both know that you didn't. You would never improve as a musician if you do not try something new.
"Your performance wasn't bad, since you bothered to connect with me this song. You have my vote but I would like to see something new from you "
"Thanks"
Liu Qiao Qiao left the stage and Qin Yanyu went on. She was performing another song from the Queen of soul music Amy titled "Revive".
She had started the song very strong but right in the middle, she made a mistake that resulted in her singing key. Her performance had been very flat so it wasn't surprising when she failed to get any of the judge's votes.
Two contestants later, it was time for Liang Changying's performance, and just like during the audition, she performed an Original Song.
Her performance was phenomenal so it wasn't a surprise when she received all the judges votes.
That night after the comprehensive list of the contestants going forward was released.
