Liu Qiao Qiao was surprised to find Shi Xiaotong Standing by the tall flower vase as she walked into the brightly decorated lobby of Baiyu studios.
This was her first visit to the company in the six months Shi Xiaotong had been employed. The lobby, like that of most companies, was quite spacious with huge glass windows that made the room very bright.
The entire room was decorated with a few tall flower vases placed in various strategic parts of the room.
The reception desk was located on the left side of the room with two receptionists manning the desk. Opposite the reception desk were two service elevators, one for guests and another for staff which was card-operated and straight into the various offices.
"Huh Xiaotong, why are you still here, shouldn't you be on the set? she asked as she walked closer.
"The boss thought that it would be more relaxing for you. if I was the one to receive you. Think of me as moral support" Shi Xiaotong replied.
"that's thoughtful"
"Yes, it is. Since you are here now, let's get going. Director Shen Xue is already waiting at the conference room" Shi Xiaotong said, grabbing Liu Qiao Qiao's hands and pulling her over to the staff elevator.
Which as luck would have it was empty. They both walked in and Shi Xiaotong clicked on their floor number. Second, later they arrived at their floor, the elevator came to a stop and the door opened wide.
They both got out of the elevator and walked over to the conference room. Shu Xiaotong led the way with Liu Qiao Qiao following her close behind.
Baiyu studios were established years ago by Three major A-list stars Shen Xue, Bai Zhenzhen, and Lu Zhiyuan.
In the years since it was established, Baiyu studios had developed quite well. They had made a name in the industry. Which showed the level of management skills within the company management.
When they arrived at the door to the conference room. Shi Xiaotong turned over the doorknob and they both walked in.
the conference room was quite spacious with an oval table at the center and huge floor-to-ceiling windows with a beautiful view of the city.
There were four people already seated on the table, with Shen Xue seated on one of the three chairs at one end of the table.
A tall handsome male dressed in a suit stood behind him. Most definitely his Assistant and to his left were two well-dressed women.
Liu Qiaoqiao walked in and was directed by Shi Xiaotong to the vacant seat by Shen Xue's right.
Shen Xue stood up as soon as she got to the seat, a bright smile on his face.
"Miss Liu please have a seat" Shen Xue said gesturing to the chair directly to his left.
"Thanks," Liu Qiao Qiao said, seated by his right.
"Thanks for coming in this morning. I already discussed it with the legal department and the contract has been drafted. Here it is, read through it and let us know if there is anything extra you would like to add" He said, handing the contract over to her.
'The contract was very fair compared to that of KM entertainment. Baiyu studios weren't as profit-oriented as most studios which were to be expected of a company owned by three popular A list celebrities' she thought as she read through the contract.
"The terms are good however I would like to make a request," she said looking up from the contract.
"We are all ears," Shen Xue said.
"I would like Xiaotong to be my manager...I don't know if that is possible," she said.
"That won't be a problem, We decided to go with that. Shi Xiaotong has shown some really good potential to be a good manager. We also think that it would be best if you worked with someone you're more familiar with
We have already discussed it with Miss Shi earlier and she has agreed to take on the responsibility. We just wished to run the idea by you and get your opinion before making the final decision on that.
However, Miss Shi is quite new to the business and may not have a clear idea of how things work. It would be best if she worked under our artist director Meng Ling's guidance until she gets more experience. What do you think Miss Liu" Shen Xue said
"That's settled, I have no problem with your decision. Where can I sign" Liu Qiao Qiao said, smiling. She picked up the pen and as per Shen Xue's direction. She flipped over to the last two pages and signed her name at the euch of the stipulated page before finally signing at the end of the contract and pushed it back to Shen Xue.
"Welcome to Baiyu studios Miss Liu," Shen Xue said, going through the document and handing it over to his assistant Tian Cheng.
He stood and stretched out his hand for a handshake
"Thanks for taking me in '' Liu Qiao Qiao replied, clasping his outstretched hands tight.
"I look forward to working with you," he said after the handshake as he returned to his seat.
"On to the next point of business Miss Liu. You're scheduled to join the rest of the cast of Rebirth in two weeks. To prepare you for that we arranged some acting classes and voice training until then.
Rebirth is scheduled to air as it's filmed, we already have a prime time slot on Star tv. It would begin airing in a month.
We have decided to delay announcing you're joining us until then. There's no need to go deep into that, Meng Ling and Cai Jie would handle that.
You already have an apartment so you won't need to make use of the company lodging. However, a company car and assistant will be arranged to take you to and fro your location. which would be handled by Meng Ling.
I will leave you three to talk strategy. I have a previous engagement see you again. Once again welcome to Baiyu studios, I look forward to working with you Miss Liu" said Shen Xue as she stood from his seat and with a nod, he walked away from his assistant Tian Cheng following him behind.
