The brunette slowly walks around me after a few minutes of the guards' imagination running wild. She looks at my ears as she realizes something is wrong. She pulls out the blade she had hidden behind her back, her hand shaking ever so slightly from the overwhelming fear she is feeling.
"His ears aren't pointed, he definitely isn't from our kingdom." She points her long blade at my ear which has a round shape instead of a pointed shape.
The black haired guard slowly walks towards her friend, having been awoken from her imagination. She looks at my ears as she approaches her friend's side, inspecting their shape cautiously. The black haired guard nods after inspecting my ears, "You aren't even from our kingdom, how could you like someone you know nothing about? Do you even know her name and status?"
Obviously talking about Soca, I quickly think for a moment before an idea pops into my head. I need to "be" from their kingdom, so I need to mainly look the part.
I swiftly activate 'Pain Ignorance' and cover my ears, causing them both to slightly jump from my sudden movement. After covering my ears, I activate a skill I haven't used in a long time, 'Shadow Morph.' The shadows underneath my hands twist and turn as my ears mold and shift.
After a few moments, I deactivate both abilities and remove my hands. Where my circular ears used to lay, two pointed ears with purple scales appear instead. The two girls look at the sudden change with awe as I point at my new ears, then at theirs which are now similar in shape. They are stunned speechless, contemplating what just happened.
My old circular ears are now replaced with 2 pointed ears, the sudden change would throw a few people off if performed in front of them. After a moment of silence, the brunette asks with a shocked tone, "What are you?"
I shrug, causing the brunette to eye me up before curiously asking, "Do you plan on leaving?"
I shake my head, smiling in enjoyment underneath my mask. She sits down in front of me, fatigue clear on her face as she sighs, "Then don't do anything stupid, I have my eye on you."
I silently nod, looking over at the black haired guard who is still standing, staring at me. But fatigue is clearly visible as sweat covers her face, which is struggling to not wince in pain. Even after being patched up, the wounds would still hurt. And from what I saw, the "bandages" are just torn pieces of cloth from the enemy soldiers' attire, having been washed before application using water magic.
'Maybe I can show them I don't plan on harming them by doing this?' I hold out my hand as shadows begin to converge in my hand. The brunette pulls out her dagger like blade, ready to attack. The black haired guard takes a few steps towards me, but collapses in front of me, practically crumbling before me. But instead of a weapon, black bandages form in my hand, causing the 2 guards to freeze.
'I would of made more advanced bandages, but I don't think they would trust them. So I went with regular bandages.'
I hold out my hand towards the brunette, who is picking up the black haired guard hastily.
'Guess I have them on edge which is pretty understandable. But I think the black haired guard pushed herself too hard, she is bleeding from her abdomen.' I think as I notice the expanding dark liquid coming from her stomach.
After a few moments, I realize she might die if I don't intervene. The makeshift bandages were barely holding in the first place and she is loosing blood fast. I store the bandages I had in my hand and crawl over to her side. The brunette moved the guard onto her back as I arrive, my movement so fast it seems like I teleported.
I hear a Ping! in my ears but fiercely swipe away the mission, not wanting to waste time.
The brunette reacts fiercely, swiftly slicing her blade toward me. But I barely react as I grab the blade of her dagger, causing her to try and pull it away.
But I don't let go, instead I yank the blade away from her and flip it around in my hand. I grip the blade's handle and begin to slice away the bandages and clothing on her stomach. The brunette guard grabs my arms as she tries to stop me but I ignore her as I continue. Even the black haired guard, who is in searing pain, feebly tries to stop me.
'You should never do this but for the bandage I am going to apply, there can't be any clothing in the way.' I inwardly complain as I continue to cut through the blood soaked cloth. I finally reach her stomach after cutting through 3 layers of surprisingly dense cloth, revealing her bloody abdomen.
I toss the now red blade away and see her deathly pale skin, causing me to slightly panic. 'I need to hurry or she will definitely die!'
I hold out my hands, and push 'Absolute Shadow' to its limit. The night comes to life as the darkness around us begins to gather in my hands, different layers of shadows emerging and forming into reality.
The brunette pulls even more fiercely, afraid of what I am about to do to her friend. She grunts and yells from the pain but continues pulling, sometimes throwing a word out. I ignore every pull as sweat begins to form on my face, the strain quickly building in my mind. My hands begin to shake as the layers of intricate patterns begin to form.
The bandage forms within seconds and I slam the square pad onto the large wound, the hand sized hole enveloped by the wound. The black haired guard stops making any sound, freezing solid. A few moments pass before her hand lets go, dropping silently onto her blood soaked lap.
Ping!
