Making bandages and clothes is an easy task, but this was an intricate weave that would have required Slime Winter if I had decided to do it easily. But I couldn't as time would of been wasted by him figuring out this brand new design and material. I had to thread each piece of wire, padding, or cotton at the same time, which caused my mind to shake.
I smile when I suddenly feel a force smack the side of my head. I look over to see that the brunette punched me with a wind covered hand, but immediately recoiled when she hit my mask.
'So is she a C rank? Maybe B-?' I wonder, seeing her reaction to hitting my mask, which is meant to take S rank hits. This plus the circle glowing on her arm tells me she is barely a B rank, having passed B rank threshold. She yells at me, not caring for the tired princesses, "What did you do to her?!"
Lana silently stays asleep, making it obvious she is a heavy sleeper. But Soca bolts upright, having heard the strained yelling of her guard. Soca looks over to see her guard furiously attacking someone with all the strength she can muster. Wind blades fly towards the figure one after another, kicks and punches mixed within, like a cauldron of fury.
But the stranger silently sits there, taking every hit as if it is nothing. This is the huge gap between a S+ rank and a B- rank,
As Soca quickly wipes the sleep from her eyes, she sees a white figure, the same white figure that saved them. She hurriedly gets up and runs over, hurriedly asking, "What happened?"
The brunette heaves in labored breathes, her already fatigued body pushed past its limits long ago.
"He did something to Emily and won't say what!"
'Why won't you check instead of attacking me?!' I inwardly scream, irritated by this girl's stupidity.
She immediately lunges at me again, trying with all her might to injure me. I reach my limit and as she throws another punch, I reach up with one hand and grab her arm, stopping it in place. She yelps in surprise by the almost instant movement and tries to yank her arm back. I tighten my grip and don't give her a chance to pull away. She groans from the intense wave of pain, the wounds on her arm barely staying closed.
As she continues to struggle, I say one single word, causing Soca and the brunette to feel shivers through their bones as my demonic voice echoes within their minds.
"Enough."
The brunette guard freezes in place, seemingly unable to look away from the origin of this horrific voice. Soca, stares at me, unable to comprehend what was going on. She was awoken by one of the guard's yells and awoke to find the mysterious white figure sitting here, taking consistent blows to the head and body.
Emily is laying silently on the ground, the ground beneath her a bloody mess. The bandages and clothes on her abdomen missing, instead replaced by a grey pad on her bare stomach, its texture something she has never seen before. Soca seems lost as she looks around, unable to think of what to do.
I slowly stand up and drag the brunette to her friend, Emily. I lean down and begin to feel around Emily's neck when I find what I am looking for. The brunette guard begins to try and fight me again, but I fiercely yank on her arm, a crisp popping sound following along with a scream. I ignore her screams and grab her now dislocated arm with two hands before crisply popping it back into place.
'Screw being silent, I have to talk some sense into this damn women!' I think as I stare at the brunette, my anger slowly rising.
"For a Royal guard, you're useless! Before attacking someone who seems to have good intentions, at least be cautious and investigate what they are doing before attacking them out of nowhere! Even holding a knife to their throat and asking is better than outright attacking when your partner is lying down on the ground with blood flowing like a river from their body!" I yell, causing shock to appear on the brunette's pained face.
This is the most she has heard me speak, and her only thought was defending her friend and her. She never stopped to ask questions, and was instead rewarded with overwhelming pain.
I swiftly grab her head and slam her onto the ground with an explosive thud, knocking her out cold. I sigh in anger as I sit down near the fire, looking at the bewildered Soca who has shock and fear on her face.
I clear my throat as I try to clear the situation up, "I went to offer sterile bandages and Emily had reopened a deadly hole on her stomach. How your sister stopped the bleeding with these crappy cloths is beyond me. But I used a special bandage to stop her bleeding and heal the wound quicker. The side effect is it knocks the user out, limiting the pain they would feel."
Soca listens silently in fear before inwardly repeating what I said, checking it over a few times before a small look of confusion appears on her face. This mysterious figure had defended her group against the assassins but she was awoke by a scream and watched as he violently retaliated. Something is amiss and she wants to figure it out. She cautiously sits across from me and asks in a curious tone, "Why...did you knock Amelia out?"
Soca is awake and doesn't feel even a wink tired. She has always been a light sleeper and very energetic, this and the situation she awoke to made her feel wide eyed. Plus, this mysterious person that saved them is now in front of her so she is curious about his motives.
I clear my throat as a clear anger can be heard, "She attacked randomly so she should be punished. So I dislocated her arm and knocked her out, that should be punishment enough."
"I would like to apologize for her attitude, she must of been jumpy from witnessing your strength. That and the war..."
I tilt my head, "I keep hearing about this war but don't know what it's about. Let's just say I have been traveling."
She looks at me with a curious and confused expression, "This war has been going on for years, how long have you been gone?"
I look away, "....several years?"
She smiles slightly, finding my confusion kinda funny.
