I shake my head as I sit down, a group of kids staring at me as I digest what I was just told. 'Ok, I can't just push these people away after they came this way for a new beginning, I need to immediately adapt to this new, sudden issue." I think as I look at the kids who gaze at the newcomer with curiosity. I smile a toothy grin at them, causing some of them to mark me off as a kind man. One of them walks up to my follower as she asks, "Who is this man?"
He smiles a warm smile as he responds, "This kind man is the new king." She has a look of epiphany on her face as she understands who I am. She walks over to her friends and tells them as their eyes go wide, some filled with stars while some look at me with awe.
I nod at them as I stand up and begin to walk through the tent village. Observing the conditions as people wave and smile at me. 'Before I get buildings, I need to get public bathrooms quickly since I don't want this place to start off with a deadly disease.' I realize as I look at the happy smiles.
I walk over to them and immediately begin explaining, "I need you to get a group started with public bathrooms, I will deal with the waste issue and piping, just get the building built using this blueprint." I hold out my hand as the shadows that lay silent around me jolt with life. A piece of paper appears in my hand as some simple markings show a sturdy frame and its measurements, a blueprint.
He looks it over and nods as a group of soldiers suddenly gather from seemingly nowhere. They study the blueprint for a few moments before they all nod and understanding.
I quickly look at my warehouse, an oddity in the middle of the tent city as people and children stare at it from time to time. I point at the group of guards as I suddenly remember something, "Stay here." I unfold my scaled purple wings and with one strong flap, I skyrocket into the air. I float in the sky as I gaze over the whole expanse of my new kingdom. Fields of flowers lay in my vision as I realize the tent city was placed so they wouldn't be put on the flowers, causing me to smile.
'I will treat these people fairly, I may need to be a king, but I will not mistreat them unlike most royalty.' I gaze over the area as a blueprint of the kingdom forms in my mind. 'I will call this Kingdom Hana, the city of flowers. Since it doesn't have a dragon based name, more people will become curious of it, plus I plan on basing my kingdom on these flowers which were the first sight I saw when entering this world.'
Shadows from my back form in my hand to create a blueprint. The blueprint is covered in designs of pathways, alleys, flower beds, and a few empty circles, my building being the center of it all. Measurements cover it from top to bottom as a key rests in the bottom right corner, labeling all the symbols placed on the map as their respective buildings.
After that, I create a few more blueprints showing the piping layout, building blueprints, and materials that will be used. I land in front of the guards as I hand them the bunch of papers and elaborate, "Get the pipe trenches built first, then begin immediately on the public bathrooms. After that, focus on the paths and houses."
They nod resolutely before staring at me, seemingly waiting for something.
"What?" I ask curiously. Suddenly I feel a tug at my consciousness as I quickly understand. 'Oh, material! I'm an idiot!' I reprimand myself as I quickly come up with a solution.
"Use the metal you get in the mountains for the houses and their wiring. I will make the necessary equipment that is needed to refine and mold the metal."
After finally finishing my mouthful, the guards nod once again in response as their shadow like forms run to their new jobs, no delay in their steps. They firmly grip the arm tools I created them with my last visit as a few soldiers begin to gather mining groups, while the others begin to map out where the pipes will be buried. Moving fluently like ants, they begin to work.
I quickly jog to an empty patch of grass as I hold out my hand. 'Absolute Shadow.' The shadows jump to life as they cover the grass, creating a large gray panel. As I step onto the panel, my feet make a thunderous noise, like metal hitting metal. I continue to hold out my hands as metal parts and pieces form around me, some looking like complex art while others simple, like screws and bolts.
I look at the pieces as the crafting process appears in my head, guiding me as I put the machine together. I wake the sleeping slime as he drowsily opens his eyes, moments later excitedly bursting with vigor as he realizes that I'm building another machine. He bounces up and down happily as he immediately begins to help me, showing his enjoyment.
Some of the kids watch me as I build the large, complex machine, their eyes wide with wonder. One of them finally speaks his mind as he asks, "What are you building?" I continue to focus as my hands move at lightning speeds, quickly answering. "A metal refiner." They all continue to watch as I build the large machine in front of them, their eyes wide with awe as it towers above me. The parts and pieces all together in one piece.
I press a few buttons as the machine glows with life. 'Soul energy does't harm the environment and it's efficient, I don't want to destroy this world like my predecessors did with theirs...' I trail off as a white screen glows, a text cursor silently waiting on the blank screen. I sigh, 'Here comes the annoyingly complex part, coding.'
I designed it so the keyboard is in draconic as I immediately begin typing away, lines of code covering the screen rapidly as the machine clinks and clanks with life, causing some of the kids to jump. I snicker as I continue typing when I suddenly click enter one last time. 'Finished.'
The machine revs vigorously as the parts within shift and move. I smile at my creation as the kids and even some adults stare at the foreign-purple technology in awe.
'Speaking of kids...' I look over at the young Dragonborn who are still in awe, 'I will be introducing a lot of new technology to these people who are stuck in medieval times. So I should immediately start teaching the young about this tech. At first, it will be mayhem since this technology will be way ahead of them by thousands of years, but if I teach them now, the next generations will have an easier time since they will be taught about this at the beginning of their lives.'
'So to make this transfer easier, I'm going to use the American system of teaching since it is slower in teaching compared to systems like Japanese schooling. But I will have to figure out how to teach them the first few generations since I can't be here for 100 years.' I think for a moment when an idea to solve my problem appears.
'The cube! It has teachers that teach students this on the daily! I can hire some of the people who are graduating this year as teachers for technology while hiring magic teachers to help the kids learn magic.'
