As we enter, we look across the large room as it is lined up with tables, a bar in the corner cooking food for the adventurers, and a massive board with tons of papers on it. We get glanced at by a few people as some look at us with stars in their eyes as I hear whispers from a variety of species.
"Look! It's the deadly duo!"
"What? Where?!"
"Woah, I wish I could be as powerful as them..."
"Yo, I'm gonna ask if they want to party up."
"Don't do that you idiot, you'll embarrass yourself, why would they want to party up with a lame ass D rank."
"Shut up!"
I glance around, still unused to the whispering as we walk towards the board. We begin to look at the posters as we look for a suitable one when I suddenly feel someone bump into me very roughly as he suddenly complains, "Damn! What is this guy? Is he a fucking wall?!"
I glance over to see a 7 ft tall minotaur looking down at me with a nasty look on his face. I ignore him as I continue to look for a quest when I hear the minotaur speak again.
"Hey! I'm talking to you! Are your ears clogged or something?!" At this point the entire building has gone quiet as they stare at me and the minotaur, some already placing bets. The minotaur looks at me and grins a malicious grin, "I heard your tough shit, wanna test it?" He says as he raises his gauntlet. He suddenly feels a chill as something cold touches his neck, and everyone gapes in awe at my blade, some even start freaking out as they point at it to their friends.
"Look! It's his legendary blade! They say that whoever sees it doesn't get another chance to live!"
"It looks awesome! I wonder who made it for him...."
"Rumors say that he made it!"
"What?!"
People begin to whisper as the once cocky minotaur now is frozen, a bullet of sweat flows through his fur. His eyes go wide as he sees a pole is in my grip and realizes that death is tickling his neck.
My demonic voice echoes throughout the hall, "Put down your arm and walk away, before you trigger my temper." And with that, the blade moves away from his neck and folds shut as I turn back to the board.
Jack is already used to scenes like this and finally finds a mission, "Look, this one seems alright and the payment is good." I look at the paper he is holding and nod. "Looks good. Let's take it." I say as I turn around and am already walking towards the lamia.
He follows behind me after glancing at the frozen minotaur who seems too scared to speak. People start to laugh and make fun of him as we walk towards the lamia.
'Don't search for conflict, it will come to you.' The minotaur slowly look around before looking towards me as his face turns red from rage, he screams, "Whatever cheap trick you pulled, you will pay!" He charges through the room and jumps, raising his gauntlet to pummel me in the face.
His gauntlet glows red as heat begins to radiate off of it, I don't even turn around as tentacles of darkness come from under the tables and shadows all around, wrap around his limbs at a speed he can't even react to. And then he is held there, stuck in the position he was in midair.
His face turns from rage to shock as he looks at the tentacles, he tries to move as he grunts and pulls with his full strength, but can't even make them tighten.
Everyone stares at him as they look at me, their faces filled with even more awe as someone whispers.
"He is even stronger than the rumors say, and with such a useless element, he is able to use it to such an extent..."
I look over at Jack as he places the paper down on the table, "We would like to take this quest."
She nods furiously as she grabs the paper and looks it over as her eyes go wide, "You....you guys....." she calms herself as she assumes her respectful tone.
"Quest to slay a pack of grade A Vine Raptors and retrieve their mana cores is approved."
I hear the usual Ping!

I nod and hold out my card as she pulls out something that looks like a stamp, before she does it she asks kindly, "I must remind you that only one quest can be taken at a time and any other quest taken and not finished will be removed from your current card and be reposted."
I nod again as she holds the stamp over the card. A 3 layer circle appears underneath as on the back of the card changes, showing my current mission. She does the same for Jack and we turn to leave, exiting the guild. The minotaur falls to the ground with a loud thud as the tentacles disappear into thin air.
He looks up with a red face as he charges out of the guild as quick as he can. But no matter where he looks, he can't find us, as if we disappeared into thin air.
