As we walk through town, we begin to chat, "So that is what happened before we left the cube, we were attacked every so often on our way back here and once we arrived, I went to my realm once in a while between the days of training and school." I say as I look at him through my mask. Jack looks at me in awe before looking towards the endless sky.
"It's hard to believe that there is another world all around us and we can't see it....." I shrug as I continue walking, "I can take you there sometime, but you have to wear your full armor or people will freak out that there is a new human there. They still aren't used to me, and I have been visiting for over 5 years!" I say as I throw my arms into the air.
I usually ain't this animated, but it's different when we hang out because I have learned to act like this near him or he thinks I have a stick up my ass.
I suddenly hear a nervous voice behind me, "H-hey, I was wo-wondering if you would li-like to party up?"
I turn around to see a small demi-human kid about 5,3 wearing a plated robe and large staff with a large green crystal in it. He has semi-short brown hair and has a pair of glasses fitting his slim face, blue eyes, striped orange tail, and ears.
I ask, "ID?"
"Oh!" He says as he fumbles with an ID as he pulls it from his pocket. I grab it from his hand as I look at it. 'Orange Wave, Age: 13, Rank: D, Weapon: Mage Staff, Elements: Water, Mage Rank: D, Guild: None.'
I look over at Jack as I show him and ask, "Should we let him? Our quest this time might be too dangerous for him."
'It's practically suicide.' I think to myself.
Jack thinks for a moment when we hear the kid speak again, "S-sorry for my r-rank. No one wants t-to adventure with m-me because of it."
I hear Jack sigh as he looks at me, "You can come with us, but you will sit behind us and provide support to keep the monsters near us. We can't protect you entirely so be weary." He nods as he smiles, "Th-thanks, so-so what are your r-ranks and the quest-quest today."
Me and Jack pull out our cards as we show him. His smile fades as it turns into surprise, then shock. His stutter continues as his voice trembles with stars in his eyes. "Yo-you guys ar-are the le-legends in the g-guild?!"
I shrug as Jack beams with pride, "Indeed!"
I nod as I wave my hand and the card is gone, "We need to get going King's Temperament. These Vine Raptors aren't going to stand around and wait for us." Jack nods as he turns around and waves his hand, "Try to keep up with us Orange Wave."
He nods feverishly as he sees us walking away, "Ri-right." He stands there for a moment as we walk away and he mutters under his breath, "Th-this trip is g-going to b-be awe-awesome....."
He jogs to catch up to us as we continue talking, him joining in every now and then. After walking for a few hours, we eventually reach the edge of the forest, sounds of roars and weapons hitting things echoing from within the thick foliage.
I glance over at Jack as I unfold my weapon and begin inspecting it. After he sees me do this, he does it as well, making sure our weapons are in good condition before entering danger. The kid nervously and curiously look at what we are doing and asks, "Why ar-are you guys che-checking your we-weapons?"
I answer with my demonic voice, "We don't want our weapons breaking mid battle, you should get into the habit as well if you plan on being an adventurer. Your gear is your lifeline, remember that."
He nods rapidly as he begins to look over his gear. I hear Jack speak to me after I finish looking over my blade, "The blades you make are so durable. When I received this blade 3 years ago from you, I was shocked, and it's still in pristine condition!" He says with awe as he looks over the massive blade I gifted him. I shrug as I finish looking over my scythe, "It's still best to check it over, better safe than dead."
He nods as he looks over the sword. It is a heavy sword with a soul white blade and a fuller in the top middle part all the way down to the back end. The hilt is pitch black with black wisps still flowing off of it. The blade glows with power as a black symbol is engraved on both sides, a slime with cat ears and smoke.
I hear Orange Wave's voice behind us again, "Is that tr-true? Do you really forge bl-blades?"
I look over at him and nod, "I also make armor and tools, would you like to order something?"
He stares at me with a face filled with awe before looking down with a sad look, "I don't have the m-money to b-buy anything."
I shrug, "I won't be making anything for a while as I will be entering an academy soon, so how about I make you it as a gift for joining us on our last journey?"
He looks up at me with a smile before nodding vigorously and repeating, "Thank you."
I nod as I walk up to him and say, "Raise your arms." He looks confused but complies as he raises his arm into a T-pose. Before he can even react, I swiftly use a measuring tape and have already measured his body's size.
"Seeing how you a mage, I will be making you a plated robe." He stares at me with even more confused before his jaw drops. My hands begin to shake as strain begins to form on my mind, weaving each fiber, wire, and thread between eachother. Within minutes, a light purple robe with white plates forms. I take a silent breath of relief as I hold out the robe in front of him, "Here, try it on."
He stands there stunned, seemingly unable to move, making him look like a statue. I scratch the back of my head as I put it on his arm. Before turning around and walking towards Jack.
