'So this confirms it, she is my hatched familiar. I better keep the egg though, don't know what might happen if I just throw it away.' I think while I walk down the stairs, Blossom soundlessly following behind, if you ignore the momentary chirps.
I walk into the kitchen just to hear my mother scream. "What is that?!" I look over at her while she stares at the foot and a half, pink and white cat, pointing at it defensively with a spatula.
Blossom chirps and licks it, quickly recoiling after feeling the heat burning on her tongue, and running to me, seemingly hiding from her by trying to shrink behind my legs. I rub Blossom's head and look at my still frightened mother.
"I was raising an egg in my room and it hatched, but the speed she is growing worries me and she is probably very hungry." My mom puts down the mighty spatula with great hesitation and washes it off, continuing to glance every now and then at Blossom.
I see Winter staring jealously at Blossom so I rub his head and he purrs, happy to get attention.
I look over to see mom bringing out the leftovers from last nights meal and pulls out a massive bowl from the cabinet. In which she puts the roast and hands it to me.
"This is for your new pet."
"Her name is Blossom."
"Sorry, this is for Blossom, and the soup is for Winter." She says as she pulls out the soup from the fridge, setting it down on the table. Winter jumps down and eats everything from the bowl before hopping back up on my head again.
I walk over to my seat and set the bowl down, and what I see is.....a sight to behold. Blossom unhinges her jaw and I watch as she engulfs the entire roast in one fell swoop, the sides of her mouth having skin that can stretch as wide as the bowl. And she swallows, seemingly putting on no weight.
'Hehehehe, what the hell is she?' I look over to my mother to see her standing there still cooking.
'Good thing she didn't see, or else she would of most likely kicked Blossom out..' I think while I look back at Blossom, seemingly looking up at me for praise, her tail flicking. I look at her and pat her head, from which she purrs in enjoyment and gives off a happy chirp.
Winter grips tighter onto my head, signaling he is there.
"I know your there, don't worry, no one can replace you." I say while I rub both of their heads, their purring filling the entire kitchen.
All of a sudden, I hear a voice yell, "What the hell is that?!"
I look over to see Elva pointing at Blossom. I sigh and begin to explain, "I was incubating an egg and it hatched, and please call her Blossom."
She stares at it a bit longer before smiling a warm smile, a real smile, and saying in a kind baby voice. "Hi Blossom!"
'Holy crap, it's a real smile, she can actually smil-' I think when all of a sudden...images flash past my eyes, a young girl, smiling up at me, grabbing my pant leg and trying to pull me away from a desk with a weapon blueprint I was designing on a computer. I look over and quickly close the blueprint, then get up and start following her. The pain is bearable but I have to grab the side of the table to make sure I don't fall.
'What....was that? And that weapon blueprint....it looked odd, I'm a mechanic, but why was I designing a weapon then? And who was that girl?' I am confused and my two familiars stare at me, sensing my change in personality so suddenly. I sit down, ready to eat, when all of a sudden, I hear another scream along with, "What is that?!"
I facepalm, 'This is gonna take some getting used to....'
Meanwhile, the king has finally entered Lycon, he looks over to see his daughter looking at the town in amazement.
"Sorry but I didn't get to hear about your dream that morning, what was it?" He looks at her with the interest. She looks back at him, pondering for a bit before responding. "My dream, it was a stand-off between all the divine beasts, but that is all I can remember." He hears a gruff voice from behind a book.
"So you never really told me why I am coming along."
He looks at the book, his face serious. "We are going to visit a kid who I suspect might be a divine beast."
"Finally, another divine beast, which one?"
The king looks at him, his face written with seriousness. "The dragon."
Dreag looks at him from over his book, "Interesting, you say you found my counterpart? Why did you exactly bring me though?"
Aurora looks away from the window over to him. "I believe we brought you along to convince him to train under you."
He looks at her, his face forming a smile, "It would be a joy of mine to train two divine beasts at the same time, but that is only if he agrees." He rubs her head, messing up her hair slightly. She looks up at him and smiles while fixing her hair.
The king nods, "Yes, I am hoping you will teach him how to control his divine beast abilities and eventually transform."
Dreag nods, "So where are we heading first?"
