"Now get out before I turn your asses into hats! Carrow Corrow roared with spite and venom in his voice. A hint of laughter peppered deep into ocean waves of Carrow Corrow's psychic mind, washing over the trio. "Someone's salty." Adilita said with a pout towards Calico.
"He's the god of the sea, salty is an understatement of the millennia." Gypsy's eyes squeezed tight with tension at the upheaval of obvious condensation of irony.
A throaty growl echoes throughout the chamber as it washed from the ground below as a vibration that threatened the trio making them backpedal subconsciously towards the exist. As seasoned as Calico was as a summoner who contracted with demi-beast gods of destruction even her normally well-bred beautiful composure trembled under the might of a dragonic like sea god killer. If the fear of suppression aura hadn't already washed over the trio beforehand they might have been brace hearted enough to draw their weapons to defend what little shred of adventuring honor they possessed.
"Boo!" Carrow Corrow's whisperer boomed and the three of them fled before the giant claws hammered into the place where they had once conversed. Adilita herself tremors emotionally as the doors burst open before her to release them from the fearsome presence. As kind as Carrow Corrow had been it seemed that his patience with them were no less than the playfulness of a warrior keeping his weapons sheathed in front of idling villagers. They were no slouches in making speed after the great doors slammed behind them. "Next time pay your taxes before you come here!" The last of bellows of the deep sea beast sounded but Gypsy choked on on a cry as Adilita's running steps did n asot stop even after leaving the pillared road to the temple and leading them back. Adilita's gaze questioned Calico with prying expression as the three of them continued to flee but only Gypsy picked up greater running speed than them. "His shop and business are part of Carrow Corrow's city and we pay taxes with mana or similar sacrifice and guess who's been avoiding his the most?" Calico finally explained as her robe breezed under the full sprint of the catfolk's running. Adilita couldn't help but laugh which made Gypsy'a back tense. The fearful running quickly turned into a competitive canter between the trio. The speeds of which were inhumane due to the trio's perspective natures eased their worries as they put distance between the temple and themselves so that the friends laughed boldly through the streets then onto the seaside. They were lost in reckless abandon as they competed against each other. The heaviest emotions already long relinquished until they were able to find themselves needing to pause.
In the pause in front of them unfolded the breathtaking beauty of an ocean side city. Something that Calico sensed quickly was out of the deepest of artistry that had yet to spark more than a curious eye to Adilita. Pillars and buildings weren't simply strewn around or slapped together with stone as one found in Mesta but carefully trimmed, edged, and cared for by the vestigial graces of it's denizens. As such the female kinfolk reached out to cradle Adilita in her arms. "Amazing isn't it? She asked.
"Yes, to arrive here and nearly be kidnapped?" Adilita slightly her head in mischief. "Only to descover that the employee of your kidnapper is a brother in arms." Gypsy quickly defended his sister from Adilita's ongoing grudge. "Or would you prefer that we finished our battle from yesterday?" Adilita's eyes narrowed and her cheeks blushed but also choked as tears broke free from her eyes. The friendliness of the duo was too much for Adilita's heart even when they fought the captain of the guard, they held no anger prisoner. Gypsy's shock came through but he took held Adilita in his arms as a figure of comfort between them. "Hey, hey we never apologized for that did we? We've been in your world so long that it's just how things are done here so we're sorry for putting you through all that." Gypsy said and comforted Adilita who had finally broken through the electronic damn that had been the essence of her machine heart. "One thing about life here is that the heros protect and the villains take. Yeviathan City was built on a history similar to the cause and effect but it's still a beautiful place. "I-I just don't know what to do. When I activ- woke up, all I got was a message to find my creator. It was so painful that I didn't know what to think or why should I care. I mean I haven't been able to find more than bits and pieces of anything that makes sense. I could just sit here just computing all the interesting things that happen as the citizens go about their day and none of what I do is going to matter."
"Hey- hey. It's alright but this world won't let you do something like that. Sooner or later Anadoria will suck you into itself again. Even now villains roam the countryside and creatures stronger than Carrow Corrow make bargains with death. There's nothing in this world that doesn't care about you Adilita. Eventually even if you tried very hard to not move the continent will send a love letter to you. Especially if it's on a Friday there's going to be a bigger heaping of love for you."
"T-th-that's right. Adilita said through choked up emotions and she could feel better from it." It would have been a more touching scene but Gypsy King was unfortunately right about Anadoria. Even after getting a few short answers and learning her companion's story there was no rest for the android as she could see the scripted code bring itself alive in her holoworld from the depths of her programming. Calico and Gypsy had no such awareness but the android froze. Her system going into a stationary lockdown as the last tear fell off her cheek. The synthetic skin forged from khulian sigils glistened off the colors of the fragments of light hitting her face after touching the waters of the ocean. It was only then that the pair began to discern the change but too late did it occur to them the possibility of something having gone awry. "Prot-" Before the final call of Calico attempt at warding herself came a blast from Adilita's body. "Congratulations Adilita, you have unlocked a father's affection by experiencing it for the first time. Now commencing update to your module's mission protocol so prepare to standby. Absorbing mana from nearest source for hardware upgrades and unlocking memory banks from the nearest affiliate library network. Gypsy said Calico King recognized by data and known to possess quantitative power reserve. Overwriting conscious state as it might permanently kill them to collect overdue taxes."
