After listening to Eirein's information, Hein solely returned to their classroom, as the girl was hooked by some students of lower years. They said that they have a 'business' to attend to.
However, walking towards their room, he bumped to the trio that were always around Veta, the members of the 'Goddess' Court'.
"Hey, who do we have here? The famous basketball player of the Pretium Family. Nice to meet you! Let's be friends, okay?" Rhy instantly got near to Hein as she closed the gap between them and patted Hein's shoulders, smiling widely.
Hein felt awkward to Rhy's behavior but he still smiled, as this female creature will be one of his ways to win Veta's heart.
"I've heard that basketball players are really hot. Mind if you show that to me?" Kora spoke in a flirty manner, and Hein felt sweats on his back. He looked away while gulping hard, then turned back to smile as usual.
"I don't know what miss Celare is talking about, but I assure you that I'm not one of those 'hot' players," Hein tried very hard to focus on Rhy's hands as Kora's face creeped a smirk. He was recently warned by his cousin about the trio, and he knew that the most venomous among them was Kora. If he got into Kora's range of sight, he'll have to bid goodbye to his V instantly, without a chance.
"I want fries," Nix only said as she walked past by Hein and the other two's triangle.
The two girls hesitantly decided to let Hein go after Nix said that, but Rhy whispered something to Hein's ears before she and Kora left that made his heart beat faster.
It's not a confession of love or that sorts, but the only two things that can make his heart beat faster than usual will be while playing his favorite sports and anything that concerns Veta.
"Here's a tip. Veta loves going to orphanages, and does charity with all her heart. Contact me later for her schedule and for the names of the orphanages. This is not free," Rhy mischievously hinted as she walked side by side with Kora.
Hein walked while spacing out, not even bothered by bumping to a few lamp posts in the campus. Fortunately, no one was a witness to this embarrassing moment of the hot basketball player.
"H, have you seen Kora, Rhy and Nix? They left the classroom not too long ago to buy some snacks. I intended to follow them, buy I'm not quite sure about what Canteen Number they went to," when he met a highly confused Veta on his way back, Hein staggered on his feet. What Veta was trying to say was clear. She's looking for her trio friends.
"Uhmm, Nix said that she wanted some fries," Hein answered after getting the courage to speak.
Veta seemed to be trying to remember what Canteen was selling fries.
"Oh! I know now! Thank you, H. See you later," Beta beemed as she hurriedly walked towards the bridge.
Hein looked at the departing figure and sighed. Someday, he'll be able to be with Veta privately after he gets her schedule for the orphanages.
Once Hein arrived at the classroom, he was full of smiles which attracted a few female students to his handsome face. They immediately recognized that he was alone, and therefore tried to strike a conversation with him, that he very much happily obliged.
"Say, our school goddess was known to love charity works and orphanages. Is that true, ladies?" Using his flowery tongue, he got information from these girls easily that the other three who used other people to work for them.
"If I can recall, yes. Each of us here downloaded the 'Where Is The Goddess?' app to monitor our goddess' location even on weekends. And a pattern was shown once we pieced each data together," a rather delicate girl said, not in the slightest aware that Hein was gaining information fem them even in this moment.
"The goddess is usually in orphanages every Sunday for half a day, and a lot of us already confirmed that with our eyes when we decided to visit those places to see her. The orphanages she visits is always different from each other, but we managed to get a good grasp of what kind of orphanages she visits," another girls said, smart enough that Hein was milking them of information, humbly showed the information they gathered about Veta. For her, only a dumb person cannot understand Hein's motives with speaking with them.
Within the list that the girls gave him, Hein spotted ten names. He raised his eyebrows. So these are the kind that Veta visits more frequently than the others? His V is really the kindest person he has ever known.
"If you want, you can also ask the Valiant Princess for the Goddess' schedule this weekend. She usually keeps a copy within her at all times," another smart one who noticed Hein's motives said, trying to win Hein's favor.
"I'll keep that in mind, ladies. Now, would any of you want to see me play basketball?" With his suave attitude and gentlemanly demeanor, he already grasped the hearts of the ladies. He might be dumb towards academic subjects, but this is his area of expertise. No one would be greater at using flowery words towards girls other than him.
With that simple smiling face, he unknowingly created a fanclub of his own in the school. The kind that will protect their idol's heart very much, support him throughout everything, and will respect his decisions.
The girls led him to the court where he saw several students also wandering the school grounds just like him. He saw the basketball court, and just seeing the rings of the place granted a reminiscent feeling within him that only happened whenever he thought back to how he and V played with each other during childhood.
"I'll never abandon basketball. This is my life," he said, which his new fans heard, and noted until the day that their idol despised that very sport so much.
