[Adrian's POV]
Aside from Adrian and their friends, Raymond had other visitors, too. Their humble home couldn't fit everyone, so they had set up numerous tables in their backyard under gigantic mango trees.
For someone who claimed to have come from an indigent family, Raymond's birthday celebration felt like they were about to feed the entire village. It's almost as big as how his mother would throw a party for them. How Raymond's family could even afford it, Adrian had no idea.
At one of the tables beside the house, Adrian watched in silence while holding a glass of juice as visitors came in and out. He didn't know what he was hoping for, but he had been anticipating to see if Johan would attend the birthday celebration of his best friend or not.
Johan should no longer be his concern, he knew that. But he couldn't deny that there were still residual feelings, even if he had already accepted that he wasn't the one Johan chose to be with.
