"Sorry! They called a sudden emergency meeting. I hope I didn't make you wait for long."
"It's fine. My online friends got me occupied," Johan said as he stood up from the chair. He was at a nearby convenience store to pass the time. By estimate, he may have waited for more than two hours.
Jerome's shoulders slumped, guilt washing all over his face. "I said I will be quick, but it took me until sundown to get out of the office."
"What are you talking about? I actually didn't notice the time."
"I really feel bad."
"You shouldn't be. It's not like I stayed to just wait for you. I was charging my phone. I can't roam around with an empty battery."
