I had made some progress with my new body and its limits but nothing definite yet. It is possible that my body has a few mutations that we don't know about but we need to find the origin of this energy. I haven't eaten anything in six months yet my body restored all my organs and gained mass. The only problem is that we don't have any equipment that can tell us any of that vital information but the medical ward has it and we can ask.
I looked at Ronald, "so do you still talk to that scary doctor girl?" I asked.
Ronald sighed "her name is Alice and yes, we actually started dating" he answered.
"So should we ask her to use that one atom analyzing machine, I forget what it's called?" I asked.
Ronald looked at me with a frown "dude you know she has always been interested in you" he exclaimed.
I thought back to the good old days, Ronald and I would go to the medical ward to use some of their stuff and we would be confronted by Alice who basically ran the place. Alice is a busty lady who is very smart but has a hard time expressing anything other than anger but she did show an interest in me and I always found that strange due to her preference in stronger men. I tried to avoid her by sneaking in when she wasn't looking or just stealing the stuff I needed. The one thing she didn't let us use is the machines because we never had a good enough reason.
"Ok Kana, go ask" I demanded.
Kana just glared at me "my sister isn't that scary" she replied.
I was surprised but didn't let it show "ok Kana, go ask" I repeated.
Kana pulled up her wrist and said, "hey sis your friend Hugo came back to life and he wants to use your AD machine, can he?"
"What do you mean he came back to life… it's been six months?" Alice asked loudly.
"Yeah and he looks a bit different, he has more muscle and stuff" Kana added.
"Bring him over" Alice finally said.
I grinned and started heading to the medical ward before the other two. The medical ward was very large, it had pretty much everything including some stuff that is yet to be released for official hospital use. The AD stands for Atom Divider, its primary use is to remove stuff from one's body at the atomic level like cancer but it can also just analyze the atoms and see if any forein substance has found its way into the system. I got interested in atoms and invented it at the age of 15 but forget the name sometimes. I do have one but it's at my house and I'm not sure if my house is still mine.
The walk there was about 14 minutes but I started to get nervous as we approached because Alice is hard to predict, she can jump out of nowhere at any time. As we got close to the main part of the medical ward Alice was just standing there waiting for us. I won't lie, something about that golden hair and deep blue eyes catches my attention.
Alice finally noticed us approaching and got excited in her own way, she actually ran to greet us which was the first time I've ever seen her run. She ran right past Kana and Ronald into my arms.
"Y...you're back" she said with teary eyes.
I put my hand on her head and said "yeah, but things have changed in me and I need you to find out the cause" I whispered.
She looked at me and finally noticed what Kana was talking about, "do you lift bro" she teased.
I was about to answer but stopped when I smelled something, "are you bleeding?" I asked seriously before looking down and I was holding her beating heart.
She looked at me with a mouth full of blood and said, "please kill everyone, you don't belong in a living world.
I backed up horrified, I looked around and the world was on fire, peoples screams echoed throughout the world. Darkness began to envelop everything, my other hand began to feel warm. I snapped my head to be horrified by another beating heart, I was scared and confused desperately looking for the owner before my eyes focused on an albino girl with a hole in her chest staring at me.
"NO NO NO NO NO, KANA I DIDN'T MEAN TO!!" I screamed.
I felt something hit me hard in the belly then suddenly greeted by confused faces staring at me. I looked up and saw John standing in front of me.
"King what happened?" John said with a concerned expression.
"I don't belong here but something isn't letting me rest in peace" I muttered.
"Let's find out what's wrong with you and try to fix it" Kana proposed.
I just nodded, still traumatized.
"Kill her and you will be free" a voice whispered in my head, I tried to ignore it.
We continued to the AD room to find out what's wrong with me but the voice didn't stop. I acted normal but walked at a faster pace than earlier. I was quickly getting tired of the voice.
When we got there I got curious and asked Kana to start recording the sound throughout the test and she quickly complied.
"Ok, I'll get naked now so if you don't want to see something unpleasant get out" I joked with a smile.
Kana didn't budge, she stood there staring at me. I tried to shoo her away but she still didn't move so I started waiting for her to leave.
After a few seconds she sighed and asked, "do you need help undressing?"
I looked at her surprised and gave up, I started removing my clothes one piece at a time. When I got to my boxers Kana finally turned around giving me the perfect opportunity to poke her in the back with my finger. She stood up straight very quickly and turned around to a big surprise.
"I hope that was your finger," Kana exclaimed.
"Don't worry it was but can you go grab a pair of noise canceling headphones" I asked.
She complied and grabbed a pair. When I put mine on, the voice disappeared but I wasn't too surprised. I stepped into the machine and it turned on, it was so loud that I could still hear it but the sound proof room kept all the noise in. It took about 10 minutes to finish and an excited doctor ran in the room with her wrist computer on.
"We found something amazing, something medical science has no explanation for," Alice practically yelled.
I looked at the hologram and confirmed my theory in a way, the anti-matter I drank multiplied and settled in a big ball where my lungs and heart should be. Then I remembered, "Kana, send that recording to Alice" I commanded.
Kana quickly sent it and I started to mess with the frequency of the recording until I finally found it, the voice I was hearing was playing at a frequency a dog wouldn't even be able to hear.
"Kill her and you'll be free" the voice kept repeating.
"That's what I keep hearing in my head, but where is it coming from is the question" I whispered.
I tried to pinpoint the origin of the voice and found it, the voice was coming from my chest. I was starting to freak out again, who is that and why do they want Kana dead?
