Chapter 9 - Party Part 1: My First Party Invite

Chapter 9

Today, the school was very boring, I had 4 tests, they were all very, easy, the only remotely interesting thing was when Mark was obsessing over I had a sister...until Shane walked into the club room.

Shane, asked, "Hey, some of my friends from another school are having a party, want to come?"

William shrugged (which means yes), Mark said sure, and I just nodded.

I called Adam to tell him, I'm going to a party.

Adam squealed, "Oh my gosh, Avery! Really? You're going to a party? Can I come with you? Please? Pretty, please?"

I sighed, "I don't know, Adam, I'm going to have to ask Shane, tell you later. Bye." Click, I ended the call.

Then I walked over to Shane, "Hey, Shane? Can my sister Avery come?"

Shane shrugged, "Sure why not, we'll add a chick to the group."

He-he-he, you already had one, to begin with.

I nodded, "I'm going to go tell her."

Texting:

Me: Adam, he said yes

Adan: Yes! What should I wear? Maybe a short skirt or a dress?

Me: Sure

Adam: What are u going to wear?

Me: My regular clothes?

Adam: Meh, they look like boy clothes anyway, see ya later

Not texting:

I sighed, Adam always made fun of what I wore, even though I'm supposed to act like a boy, he still thinks I should have some girl clothes because quote: "You are Avery and besides if it looks good on me it looks good on you and everything looks good on me."

I shook my head, thinking back to a memory.

-----------------Memory----------------

We were in elementary school:

"Hey, Avery," My 'friend' Shara said.

I smile, "Hi, Shara."

Shara twirled around, "Do you like my new dress? Isn't it pretty?"

I nodded, "It is so pretty," It really was pretty.

Shara smile, "I know right, my mom bought it for me."

I just smiled.

Hey, Avery, why----Memory interrupted----

Blinking, I looked up, "What? Sorry I didn't hear that."

Shane sighed, "Dude, I asked if you needed a ride."

I shook my head, "Thank you for offering, but I'll just ride with my sister." I stood up, "See you later." Then I turned back toward Shane, "Do you want my phone number? I just realized that I have no way to contact you."

Shane shrugged, "Sure, oh, also, the party starts close to 10, the address is XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX, see you there, man."

I nodded, "See you, later." Then I called Adam, telling him the address and time and to ask Thomas to pick me up.

Adam said, "Thomas will be there in 5 minutes." Click.

Thomas arrived, I got into the car, "Hi, Thomas."

Thomas smiled, "Hello, Miss."

The rest of the ride was quiet.

-------------Right When I got Home------------

Adam grabbed my arm, almost pulling it out of its socket, in the haste to get me to his room.

He grabbed my shoulders, "You're going to be my dress-up doll." Then he twirled around and fling open his closet doors, grabbing dresses, short skirts, shorts, and geans, he made me try them on, saying, no, maybe, or ooohhhhh, that would be perfect for another day.

Two hours later, Adam finally exclaimed, "Yes! This one! That's the one!"

I took it off, handing it to him, he grabbed it, "I'm going to go put it on. Get out!"

I scurried out of his room, I went to my room to change into my clothes, a t-shirt, jeans, and a hoodie.

-------------------The Party--------------------

The entire way there, Adam was bouncing in his seat, or maybe he was just vibrating really hard, but anyway, he was very excited, to go to this party for some reason, I don't know.

Just as Thomas dropped us off, I heard Williams motorcycle, I waved at him, he looked toward me, then gave me a dude nod.

Adam raised an eyebrow, "A friend of yours?"

I nodded, "Yup."

William walked up to us, "Hello, you must be Adams, twin sister, Avery, " he stuck out a hand for Adam to shake, "nice to meet you. I'm William Smith."

Adam shook his hand, "Nice to meet you, William Smith."

Just as Adam finished getting introduced with William, Mark and Shane walked over to us.

"Wow, Adam, your sister looks exactly like you, maybe we should put you in a dress, so you look like a pretty, little girl," Shane said with a smirk.

I sweat a little, "He-he-he, um, no thanks."

Adam glared at Shane, "Excuse you, I am not a little, pretty girl."

Shane smirked, "Whatever you say, little girl, I'm Shane Davis."

Adam glared, "I'm Avery Bane, little boy."

Shane scowled.

Mark piped in, "I'm Mark Bladesmith, nice to meet you, Avery."

Adam smiled, "Hello Mark, it's nice to meet you too."

Shane said, "Let's go inside guys, this is a party, come on, let's go."

And thus, started my first high school party.
