[Months earlier – PingZe]
"Oh, master Huang! How come you already came back to visit us?"
"RuRong, just call me PingZe. No need to be so formal," PingZe said. He let his eyes roam over the disciples hurrying to rebuild the sect house and clearing the front yard where the weeping willow once stood before.
Chen RuRong had dropped the wood he had been carrying with him towards the sect house for repairs as PingZe appeared before him.
"Did master Wang and your other friend come back too? We have spare rooms-"
"No, it's just me this time, RuRong," PingZe said, his mood sullying when he couldn't find the familiar bald head among the bustling people. "I won't stay for long anyway, no need to prepare a room."
"Oh, you came alone?" RuRong said as he guided PingZe forward and showed him the stone slabs that were leaning against the walls, waiting to be embedded to the ground once the soil was evened out and the willow tree stump dug up and destroyed.
